Day One- The Old Hero

First, I should probably point out that I got my very own drawing tablet between these two drawings. The first one was drawn on an lg tablet from like 2014, while the second one was drawn on an wacom intuous... draw? art? I can’t remember. So drawing became much easier, and it got a natural boost from that alone.

As for improvements, the biggest one is the fact that I shade. I used to hate shading; I found it tedious and boring until I found a way that’s right for me.

Another is, well, wing anatomy. Also having a boost from the fact that I shade now, the feathers and general shape feels more natural if I’m being frank.

I also had a thing with drawing characters interacting with... anything. Now I’m more comfortable with, say, drawing someone vaguely sewing something (I don’t know how sewing works whoops).

Speed round- My lining has gotten quicker and stronger, my coloring has improved, and not really shown here is that my same face syndrome has definitely weakened as well.

Also side note, that is the first person I’ve succesfully drawn looking up without it looking like I broke their neck or something! Horray for improvement!
