The first successful vertical flight in history was made by the brothers Louis and Jacques Breguet, as well as Charles Richet, who worked with them. By the way, this flight was not manned, and the device itself took off on a leash. Nevertheless, August 24, 1907 can be considered the birthday of the helicopter. The Breguet brothers' machine weighed more than 500 kg and was equipped with two engines and four wide propellers.
