I just don't think I ever expected Mark to leave NCT and it's just hitting so hard because he's been there for so long and that's probably one of the reasons why he's leaving cuz it's been half his life there and he's only 26 but like there was no preparation for this news, I don't even think he kissed that brick before he threw it at us

i think mark leaving is the biggest shock but also i get it? there was one clips going around where it was mark and a few members from one of the subunits (i think) and they were listening to a demo and his hair was kinda messy and and he looked tired he was looking around the room not and it didn’t look like he was reacting to the music at all. and the caption was a joke one that said something along the lines of “mark is trying to figure out which unit of nct he’s supposed to be in” but part of me feels like that might have been s little true. bc sm had him doing a lot.
but him leaving when you have heesung leaving enha and manon “leaving” katseye and taemin leaving his company and jyp stepping down as ceo—its just so much happening im such a short amount of time.

On Black Day, the singles, possibly dressing up from head to toe in black attire, will head down to the local Chinese restaurant to grab a meal of jjajangmyeon, or black noodles and either mourn or celebrate being single.

As dramatic as Hyunjin is, he'll be pretty calm about everything. He'll prefer to spend the day alone, reflecting on his feelings, which his members would respect. They'd check up on him every once in a while, just in case. He'll try to keep his mind occupied and not think about his relationship. He'll try doing some art to calm himself. He'll either struggle to find any inspiration or all of his art will come out sad. He'll lie down in bed and stare at the ceiling while listening to music. He won't be able to stop the few tears that escape his eyes as the music attempts to drown out his thoughts. Eventually, he'll just binge a new drama and order in jjajangmyeon. When one of the members comes in to check on him, they'll find him in tears while the drama plays in the background.
Similar to Hyunjin, Jisung would also be pretty calm about the whole thing, but he would be less active. He'd want to do something to distract himself but he would be too caught up in his own mind. He would spend most of the day, lying in bed either with music softly playing in the background or in complete silence. He would replay all of the moments from his relationship in his head. Remembering all of the good moments: the first kiss, the first 'I love you,' the first date. And then he'll mull over where it went wrong. The members would check up on him more frequently just because he's being so quiet. They might sit with him in silence or try to watch TV with him. Eventually, when one of the members came in to ask him if he wanted anything to eat, he'd just mumble "Jjajangmyeon." He might even be like this for a few days, but when he finally snaps out of it, he'll be in the studio, channeling his emotions into music.
As much as Felix would want to try to keep it together, he's not going to be able to. Anything and everything he does would remind him about the relationship. Would spend the whole day pretty much cuddling up next to one of his members, who would allow him. Might spend some time looking at old pictures and videos on his phone while sitting on the couch. He wouldn't want to do any of the things he likes, like playing video games or baking because he wouldn't have the heart for it. Instead of going out to eat, one of his roommates would just make jjajangmyeon for him and eat while making jokes to cheer him up.
Seungmin is quietly sentimental so to many, they might be surprised to find him mourning a relationship. He wouldn't do it intentionally. He might just wake up and remember his past relationship and start reflecting on it. Or he might be minding his own business and someone mentions what day it is and suddenly he's thinking about his ex. He'll be quiet the rest of the day, trying not to cry as he reminisces. And he'll be fine holding back tears until it's time to eat and he starts quietly crying into his jjajangmyeon.
To Celebrate Being Single (or not)
Chan, Minho, Changbin, & Jeongin
Not to say that they wouldn't use the day to mourn a relationship if they had a breakup. But these four would be the most normal about being single, especially if they've been single for a while.
Chan might feel a little lonely in general, quietly reflecting on past relationships, and will ask one of the boys to go out to eat with him. He'll be a little down but a few hours with his favorite people, good food, and some sort of fun, spontaneous activity and he'll be celebrating. When he gets home at the end of the night, he'll send a message on Bubble to cheer up stay who may be having a hard time with the day.
While Minho would be happy in a relationship, he's also the type to value his alone time as well. So if he's not in a relationship, he won't necessarily be upset about being single. And what better way for him to celebrate than a solo camping trip. Still, he'll make his own jjajangmyeon and eat it while watching the sunset.
If Changbin is single, regardless of just getting out of a relationship or not, he'd probably celebrate being single. Not because he's happy being single or happy to have broken up with his most recent ex, but in a "we'll, there's no point of dwelling on the past" sort of way. He doesn't view being single as something negative. Rather, like all things in life, it's an experience. Won't go out to eat jjajangmyeon but if one of his friends invites him out and it happens to be on the menu, he'll order it.
Jeongin is similar to Changbin in the sense that he's not happy being single or has gotten out of a relationship. He almost definitely will forget that it's black day altogether. Will even wear something bright and be confused with so many people who are wearing black. If he goes out with all of the boys, he'll think he missed a text about the dress code or something. And then he'll be even more confused when everyone orders jjajangmyeon and he orders something completely different. He'll think they're playing a prank on him while he quietly eats. And when someone reminds him what day it is he'll simply say, "Oh?" and continue to be unbothered.
