Sitting out watching the sky get darker. Watching the planes and the lightning bugs. Little bit of whiskey, little bit of dead doing “me and Bobby McGee”. Sitting out here wondering why I left myself all lonesome on a beautiful night like this. It’d be nice to be sitting next to a friend right now. In the abstract, human connection is the most beautiful thing. Seems like all the world’s worth someone you love. But do you ever spend time with a friend you love and feel like, man we feel a million miles apart right now. That’s a really bleak ligght to cast on life; the light that shows the shallowness, the frailty, or even, god forbid, the impossibility, of connecting with another. Having your heart touch theirs. One must tell oneself that it’s not always like that. Isn’t that right?

Driving home from work tonight there was a really strong hot wind blowing, and thunder clouds were rolling in, and there were a billion fireworks going off everywhere. It felt like the end of the world a little bit. I had the windows down on the highway and “stranglehold” by “Ted nugent” playing, because it seemed fitting. I just had a glass of warm tequila and a shot of rum because I was feeling weird.

Fuck man, last year I was hanging at bars in brooklyn with artists and having a great time, sharing beers and shit. But I blew that for myself huh. Now I’m here sitting alone reading comments on a one hour YouTube compilation of 2000s infomercials. Couple weeks ago I had a dream where my ex girlfriend came over and forgave me for everything and we were laughing and hugged it out. Couple days later she was in my dream and it was 100% vitriol. I still have a bunch of her clothes held hostage in my closet. If I could remember her address I’d mail them all back. Was it 83 or 85?
