I can never get enough of Earthbound. Honestly I’ve spent so many hours on it it is a little ridiculous at this point. I’ve bought it for every system it’s dropped on, and I have an emulator on every PC.

If you haven’t played it yet, you really need to sit down, grab a basket of snacks, dedicate a weekend getting into it.

Originally launching on the SNES, Earthbound was one of a kind. It’s the second in the Mother series.

The story follows Nes, a little boy who is on a journey to save the world from the Giygas aliens. He picks up some new friends along the way to help him on his journey. The battles in this game are so memorable to me, because the enemies are literally every day things turned evil because of the giygas infestation. Hippies, dogs, cars- you name it!

My biggest question to so many of these games, is why in the world do the parents of these kids just let them go out on crazy journeys by themselves? Ha!
