I just realised I never posted this shirt I made!
I painted some vines on the ceiling of my sewing room. I might add some flowers or other details on them at some point in the future, but for now my arms hurt
I made a pair of jeans out of 3 other pairs of jeans.
Coord from yesterday, just went to the market to hang out with a friend. I stopped to get groceries on the way home and a lady approached me and asked what time period I was dressed from. I figured "the early 2000s" would confuse her even more so I dodged the question and tried to explain lolita fashion instead. At least when you make your own pieces the follow up question of where you get your clothes is simpler to answer!
I went to Japan! So of course I had to bring a coord with me. I ran into a few other lolitas while I was dressed up, which was very fun and sweet.
My most recent creation! A long vest with a hood? A sleeveless cardigan? Idk what you call this type of garment. I made out of some cotton jersey that I got extremely cheap, and it turned out way better than I expected.
This is how the pattern looks if anyone is interested in making something similar! I traced a cardigan I had in my closet and then mucked around with it a bit. At first just adding some flare from the waist down, but then I realised it would look nicer if it was a bit more fitted, so I took in the top part in and created pleats at the waist.
I made this skirt in only a day on Saturday, which is definitely the fastest I've ever finished a main piece! It was helped along though by the fact that the fabric I used for the ruffles was already gathered.
I made it out of a bed skirt that I thrifted recently. It was part of a set, and the blanket looks great on my bed, but I decided against the bed skirt and valences that came with it. I'm very happy with how it turned out, but I don't think I'll actually end up wearing it, so I'm planning on giving it to a friend who will.
I made a little corset/stays style bodice out of upholstery samples
I made a witch hat for my sister's boyfriend for Christmas.
haven't done much sewing latetly, but I made a shirt. the pattern was from the 70s and said "fast and easy" which it was!
I tried to do Maptober last month, and I didn't quite get every single day done, but I do think my skills improved a fair bit over that time, and I had a lot of fun with some of the prompts so I'll consider it a success. These aren't all the maps that I made, just some of my favourites :)
Got dressed up for Halloween but I got rained on
I made this blouse by chopping up 2 plaid shirts and mashing them together. Originally I was planning to just use the more red plaid shirt to make a blouse with but then I decided to cut up another shirt that I just haven't worn in a while. I was a bit worried that it would look too silly with the 2 types of plaid, but I'm very happy with how it all came together!
Went to the ren faire today with my loyal hound
I made a little rosette from the scraps I had from back when I altered a jsk a while back
I finished up this vest finally last night! Its the first time I've made one, and this was supposed to be a mockup originally, but it seemed like it fit well enough that I just ended up lining and finishing it anyways. I think if I were to make it again I would lower the neckline and lengthen it a little bit. It think it fits like it's meant to it's just a bit dated (makes sense since the pattern was from the 90s lol)
