Reese laughed, his eyes taunting. “Hey, I never said you could trust me.” He stated. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up. Before he could speak again, he felt the cool liquid being poured on his head. “Hey, not the hair!” Reese exclaimed. “I worked all morning to get it to look perfectly messy and now it’s ruined.” He pouted.

“I figured I could for one simple task.” The girl pouted, but her expression quickly changed once Reese began to react to her payback. “Aw, poor baby.” She pouted back, running her hand through his hair to mess it up even more. “Maybe you should learn to not be an ass.”

Mackenzie swallowed hard and looked away, crossing his arms. His ‘bad boy’ attitude taking over again. Things were kind of weird between them. They hooked up before while being drunk and never questioned or talked about it the next day. “Yep.” he gave a short answer. “Regretting leaving?” he questioned making sure not to give her any eye contact.

When he asked if she regretted leaving, she let out a small scoff before shaking her head. “It’s way more peaceful here-- less yelling, that’s for damn sure.”

Noticing that he paused for a few seconds than he should’ve, the girl raised an eyebrow before her thoughts were interrupted by a splash of warm water. A small screech escaped her mouth before she turned to the boy and gave him a nasty glare. “Why did I ever think that I could trust you?” She questioned, grabbing the tube of aloe and squeezing it straight onto his head. “Asswipe.” She mumbled, laughing slightly.

Mack couldn’t help but chuckle at her accusation of him being dirty. After he was done, he handed the tube back to her and stood back up straight. “You welcome.” he gave a small smile looking down at her.

As the boy began to look down at her, her gaze shot to the floor. “Uh, how are you liking LA?” She questioned, looking back up but avoiding his gaze directly. It wasn’t that she was uncomfortable with him, she just knew they had a past and moments like this made it a little awkward for her.

Turning back to the boy, she gave him a small smile before taking the tube back from him. “About ten times better, thank you.”

“I do use them sometimes and I still end up burning them. I don’t understand how. I’m probably a health hazzard because of all the burnt popcorns that I’ve eaten. You’re better at making popcorn than I am, ‘m most likely to burn the house down.”
