Welcome to the Stranger Things Rarepairs Summer Event 2026 ! A mix between a prompts list and a bingo, whatever you feel like doing !
All Stranger Things Rarepairs welcomed, any ratings as long as everything is tagged appropriately of course !
Steddie, Harringrove and Byler are the only main ships that should be avoided for this event. You have carte blanche for the rest regarding pairings and polycules.
No RPF, no xOC, no xReader.
No character bashing, no ship bashing allowed. Ship and let ship, people.
All creative endeavours are allowed - fics, fanarts, gifs, playlists, scrapbooking, crochet, podfics, etc... You can even submit recs via the asks.
No AI allowed in any shape or form.
You can use only one of the prompt, combine several, just use one of the color palette. Whatever you'd like ! Interpret them however you like !
You can combine these prompts with other prompts lists, as long as the focus is on a ST rarepairs, and the other events are okay with it.
The weeks are only to keep things organized, you can post whenever you want. Each weekly prompts list will be posted at Midnight GMT Paris. You don't have to post on the week of the prompts and you can create for the event even after said event is done. The AO3 Collection will remain Open and Unmoderated.
You can use the tag Stranger Things Rarepairs Summer Event 2026 or Stranger Things Rarepairs Summer Event in the tags on your AO3 posts if you want.
Use the #STRarepairsSummerEvent2026, mention the prompt(s) you used, the ship the creation is about, somewhere in your post or in the hashtags and tag this blog for a chance of me seeing it. (Mod is GMT so they might be a bit late in reblogging things) If I miss anything, don't hesitate to send me a DM 😊
If you're unsure about something, feel free to send an ask or DM
For no reason at all i’ve decided to make a list of some of my top fics from my non-swan queen fandoms (i exclude swan queen because i’ve made fic recs specifically for SQ in the past and I constantly reblog SQ fic recs so ya’ll know what to read there also i couldn’t possibly choose one or two sq fics to represent my faves for that fandom). I guess this is going to be kind of in the order in which i was introduced to these fandoms.
1) Rizzles (Rizzoli & Isles) - (these will all be old because I haven’t read any rizzles fic in literally 4 years but I still highly recommend these)
honestly anything written by @colormetheworld, but will specify Just Give Me A Reason and it’s sequels, Keys, and obviously The Moment but you have to buy that as a published book now.
Also by @jobethdalloway the Calamity Jane series and Are You Lonesome Tonight
2) Cartinelli (Agent Carter) - (technically calzona was my next fandom but I didn’t have an ff or AO3 account back then so i didn’t do a good job of keeping track of my fave fics and with that fandom I read so many fics in the span of such a short time period that they all have kind of blended together in my mind and tbh i have no idea what they were so we’re skipping on to Cartinelli)
by @maggiemerc the Fast Cars and Slow Jazz series
by @romanimp (aka QuickYoke on AO3) The Wonder Years of the Greatest Generation series (I think I finished reading all the fics in this but I’m not positive. Definitely still highly recommend though).
3) Mirandy (The Devil Wears Prada) - (yes I became aware of this fandom many many many years late, blame @homoscope for telling me to read Truth and Measure)
Which of course that means Truth and Measure by Telanu because you can’t read mirandy and not read Truth and Measure. I don’t make the rules XD
Not Everyone by spacedmuch and it’s sequel Pure Shores
most like a marsh-fire, again by @romanimp aka QuickYoke. This fic is followed by a few one shots set within the same universe (which is Harry Potter AU) to make the series “an argument of witches”
4) General Danvers (Supergirl) - (technically supercorp should be after this too but since I was most active in reading fic for that fandom at the very inception of the fandom all the fanfics I was reading were in progress and I am terrible at keeping up with WIPs which means shamefully I haven’t actually finished reading a single supercorp fic). But on to General Danvers XD)
the MUST READ here is Between the Lines by @anonymississippi (highly recommend reading the extra chapter 28.5 also when you get there)
also The Words that Bind Us by @kendrickhier
I guess that’s it. suffice to say I don’t actually read fanfic for all the fandoms I tumblr in because my reading of fic really depends on if i’m in a reading things mood and if I have time at all to read non-school things anyway and in order for me to read fic for a ship I have to have all those things line up with my time of most intense obsession with said ship. I also have a bad habit of only reading Swan Queen fanfic ever even when I am in a reading mood and am obsessing over other things because as ya’ll know Swan Queen owns my entire soul. Also as you can see I really only read fic for non-canon ships even tho I tumblr fandom in a lot of canon f/f ships also.
Just because of some stuff I saw yesterday: if you are a minor online, please do not openly identify yourself as such. It is not safe, it allows adults who want to interact with minors for bad purposes to know you are one.
There are different, safer ways to accomplish your goals than to do that.
You do not need to identify yourself publicly as a minor online to:
Ask that people respect your boundaries
Not create or interact with adult material
Not be a victim of harassment
Not give away personal information
All these are normal things anyone of any age can do online.
If you are being invited into spaces you don't want to be in as a minor, or which people have asked you not to be in as a minor, decline for any or no reason. If an adult wants to do something with you they should not with a minor, decline for any or no reason. If people do not accept that, they are not people you should be interacting with. Don't pretend to be an adult, just don't say you aren't.
I understand that recently, more people under 18 tend to say that they are under 18 to protect themselves online. People who are not dangerous don't need that information. People who are dangerous will gladly use it because they know you are vulnerable. You are not protecting yourself.
As an adult who doesn't really care to interact with minors, I probably won't interact a lot with you if you are "young." That's not hard to catch from the way people act online. If you are "young" I care about you being safe and not victimized by opportunists, regardless of your birth year.
Protect your identity and safety on the internet, and if you are a person who is vulnerable, be a mysterious figure. Make silly posts. Complain about "people you know." Complain about "living with your parents."
I know you want to interact online. You have to be safe if you do.
You don't owe anyone personal information ever at any time. But also, be wary of cheeky fun posts that try to prompt you into sharing where you live or your age by proxy — posts like "oh tell me where you're from and your thoughts about X" or "tell me your thoughts on generation whatever" may seem innocent but you may end up exposing yourself when you interact with them.
It's the month of letting your deepest, darkest, pervisions out to play with your imagination!
Tainted & Taboo 2026 is live!
Starting on June 1st and ending on June 30th. This is a 4 week event where each week you have 7 days to write for that week. At the end of the week all fics for that week are due in to the A03 collection below.
You can choose just one prompt or you can choose both. There can be other taboo kinks in there but your fic must include one of the 2 listed for that week.
All fandoms and ships welcome. OC / OC is also welcome. Write whatever your imagination demands!
All fics must be at least 1K words. If you write a multi-chapter fic, only the 1st chapter needs to be submitted if this will be an ongoing project. That 1st chapter must include one of the 2 listed prompts and must be 1k words at least. The other chapters do not need to be finished.
To participate in the event, you MUST be a member of the Tainted Souls server. If you know someone who would like the event and wants to participate and they are 18 and older, please send them an invite to the server. Below is the link to the server.
Pod-together is a fandom fest where writers and podficcers create together—the writer creating text specifically intended for audio, and the podficcer creating the audio. If that sounds fun to you, sign-ups are open until June 13th! You can find instructions to sign up, rules, and FAQ at the dreamwidth site linked in our bio.
Sign-ups come in two flavors. If you would like the mods to match you with someone with similar fandom interests, sign up for Matchmaker Sign-Ups. If you would like to sign up with a partner, we also have Group Sign-Ups.
Writing is due July 26th, and podfic is due August 23rd. The minimum length for pod-together projects is 1000 words or 10 minutes of audio.
This is our 16th year running this challenge, and participants usually have a ton of fun and create amazing stuff, with everything from the typical style of fannish stories to submissions with filk, poetry, found footage/audio drama, sound effects, massive multi-voice collaborations, full-cast musicals, immersive soundscapes, playable games, and multiple languages.
If you’re on the fence and have questions, or want to try to scout a group before signing up, we have a section of our Discord open just for that. You can find a link to the Discord in the sign-up post on our dreamwidth!
Visit the Dreamwidth linked in our bio for more details!
Hey everyone! I want to make a little post about an event that I'll be hosting this summer in the SPOP Creative Flex Server! Inspired by the theme of "Pride", picked from a poll that I ran in the server last week, those who sign up will get to pick a partner or partners and create something surrounding the theme. Fics, art, etc!
The sign-up period will last until June 8th, 2026! Then you'll have roughly ten days to pick a partner if you don't have one in mind already. June 20th, 2026, the pairs/groups will be announced and you'll have through August 2026 to make your piece or pieces!
A couple general things:
No AI
Fics have a minimum word count of 1,000
There's no art requirements aside from letting us know what kind of piece you're making (one piece, a series of them, a comic, etc.)
If you aren't already in the SPOP Flex Server, you can join here!
We’re a fanwork exchange focused on smut, showcasing art, fic, podfic, and vid rated M or E!

Sign-Ups: May 30–June 13
Assignments Out: No later than June 18
Assignments Due: August 22
Assignment Reveals: September 5

to celebrate the arrival of summer, the TWFSC is hosting a three month long creation challenge, open to everyone, with no time limits, no word counts, no pressure. just, hopefully, a little bit of chaos.
any and all creations are welcome - fanfiction, fanart, gifsets, picspams, meta, playlists, etc.
no generative ai. no exemptions.
nsfw and dead dove content is entirely welcomed, as long as it is tagged accordingly.
female characters and their relationships to each other must be central in your creation, but male characters can feature.
below the cut is a list of fandom tropes, dynamics and settings. each has a points value.
your challenge is to create fun and unique fanworks of all kinds that can tally up as many points by including as many of the below features as possible. as with all of our challenges, the stakes are low (there are none) and the possibilities are endless, and you are encouraged to think wildly outside the box. if you pick VAMPIRES, you can write the allydia vampire!au of your dreams, or you can write kira and malia watching interview with the vampire on the sofa. some notes:
you do not have to pick one from every category
you can pick multiple items from a single category
you can interpret the items as broadly as you see fit
the more points in a single work, the better, but there are no prizes here, no stakes, no pressure. the point is to encourage people to create outside the box, outside their normal themes and tropes, and to have fun with it!
for example: a trayden horror fanfiction, set in a historical setting, with witch!hayden caught in a time loop would be worth 60 points. a gifset of allison x lydia x kira as soulmates set in space could be worth 70 points. go crazy with it.
if you have any questions, or you want some resources or suggestions for specific items, please send an ask in!
HORROR (10 points) the haunted house, the blood and the gore, serial killers in the dark and everything to lose.
ROMANCE (10 points) long walks on the beach and kissing in the rain, it's time to make heart eyes.
ACTION ADVENTURE (15 points) think the mummy (1997, obviously, not the t*m cr*ise one). swash buckling, high octane, finding the treasure and getting the girl.
COMEDY (15 points) everyone needs a laugh now and then.
SCI FI (20 points) aliens, spaceships, fazer beams. plus, some really cool hats.
FANTASY (10 points) braeden would totally ride a dragon, you know im right.
HISTORICAL (10 points) what will you pick? the elaborate dresses and subtle social language of the regency age? the glitz and the glamour of the 1920s? or will you honour our unga bunga past and reimagine erica and cora as members of the late neolithic beaker people? please do.
THRILLER (15 points) jump scare.
MYSTERY (20 points) follow the clues, find the culprit. snazzy magnifying glass not included.
POETRY (25 points) honestly i think we need to bring back fandom poetry. thats why this is so highly scored btw. shut up i make the rules.
WESTERN (15 points) can be a little bit tombstone, or a little bit yellowstone. your choice.
CRACK (10 points) honestly why not at this point.
COLLEGE (10 points) experience the highs and lows of keg parties, society in-fighting, campus protests, and desperately trying to get your academic advisor to email you back during deadline week.
SCHOOL (5 points) considering that the entire show is set in a high school, this should be an easy win.
POLICE STATION (5 points) considering that the entire show is about teenagers committing various misdemeanors, this should be an easy win.
PRESERVE (10 points) beacon hills preserve my beloved.
HOSPITAL (10 points) considering that the entire show is about teenagers putting themselves in unimaginable risk, this should be an easy win.
VET CLINIC (10 points) what do you think deaton's building insurance looks like btw. has anyone calculated how bad it must be.
LOFT (10 points) derek's loft, obviously. bonus point if it's actually an unrelated random loft.
CAR (10 points) the toyota sponsorship really did do bits for this show.
TRAVELLING (15 points) by plane, boat, hijacked school bus or jet ski, if you can cram it in there.
SOULMATE (15 points) i am personally obsessed with the increasingly bizarre and specific soulmate identifying circumstances found in fanwork. what do you mean you only saw in black and white until you saw her. does it count if its a photo or does it only work half way, like you see a newspaper clip and suddenly you develop red/green colour blindness.
ROYALTY (15 points) this could make a really good pair with a historic or a fantasy setting, or you could red, white, and royal blue it.
MEDIEVAL (20 points) i honestly feel like lydia could have really thrived in the 1200s. very court intrigue energy.
SENTINEL/GUIDE (20 points) you will pry sentinel/guide aus from my cold, dead hands.
PRISON (15 points) what if jennifer and kali had to share a cell? what if lydia recruited cora for her prison break scheme?
PIRATE (15 points) *insert booty joke*
HOSPITAL (10 points) high drama, high stakes, saving lives and having questionable workplace relationships in medical supply cupboards.
SPORTS (10 points) whether on the same team - sharing hotel rooms and gyms - or on opposing teams - intense rivalries that keep getting more and more personal - these are always fun.
PLATONIC (10 points) i think friendship is just swell.
ROMANTIC (10 points) the cornerstone of fandom creation.
FAMILIAL (15 points) explore some of the real family ties in the show, like allison and victoria, or cora and malia, or switch it up to non-traditional family bonds, like sisterly affection between malia and braeden, or melissa quasi-adopting kira.
ANTAGONISTIC (15 points) for all of my enemies to lovers people. also, enemies to enemies. friends to enemies. enemies.
MULTISHIP (20 points) polyamoury, found family, or friendship groups!
BREAKING UP (10 points) is hard :(
MAKING UP (10 points) is fun! :)
RECONNECTING (10 points) childhood friends meeting as adults. old lovers finding each other again. high school rivals finding common ground.
RIVALRY (15 points) sometimes, the natural habitat for two characters is constantly trying to one up the other while also dodging elaborate sabotage.
PREGNANCY (10 points) could be a pregnancy of one of your mains, or about your main's reaction to a friend or loved one getting pregnant.
MATES (15 points) i feel it would be actively irresponsible to not include a mates category for the Werewolf Show. give me more sapphic mates fics.
WEREWOLVES (0 points) yeah you're not getting points for that
VAMPIRES (10 points) ooooohhh lady vampires ooooohhhhh.
MYTHOLOGY/FOLKLORE (15 points) this is a broad topic, with a bunch of possibility. create a visual for kira/malia as orpheus and eurydice, or write a casefic for a monster of the week from slavic folkstories.
WITCHES (10 points) draw from historical sources or create entirely new lore. there's a lot to play with here!
FAE (10 points) pretty wings or pointed teeth. or both.
CURSES (15 points) cursed by a witch? cursed by The Object? cursed by the ghosts? cursed by getting a facefull of rain water from a wolf paw and ending up in a toxic relationship with a french canadian parascientist?
DEMONS (15 points) black eyed denziens of hell, body possession, etc.
GHOSTS (20 points) oh the angst. or the comedic hauntings. whatever you prefer.
IMMORTALITY (20 points) the terrifying cousin of 'came back wrong'.
TIME LOOP (20 points) put that girl in a situation. then put them in a situation. then put them in a situation-
MERMAIDS (15 points) are you going disney vibes, or a little more hans christian andersen with it?
ONE BED (10 points) a true classic. there really only ever one bed, isn't there?
FAKE RELATIONSHIP (15 points) do they need a date to their ex's wedding? do they need their parents off their back about being single? do they need to pretend that they have their life together to the judgy mum's at their kid's nursery?
MISSING SCENE (10 points) what did the show miss? allison and lydia's reconciliation after allison came back from france? kira practicing with her sword while malia studied for an english test? hayden and tracy surviving as chimeras?
CAME BACK WRONG (15 points) speaking of chimeras-
WORKING A CASE (10 points) the latest 'monster of the week' is in town, and, as usual, it falls to a bunch of high schoolers to fix it.
PRE CANON (5 points) kira's life in new york, malia's life in the forest, lydia's life as a phd level mathematician-
FOUND FAMILY (5 points) unionize your women!
ROADTRIPS (10 points) nothing says interesting character dynamics like sticking them in a metal box hurtling down a road at 70mph.
SICKNESS (15 points) cough. cough.
MEET UGLY (15 points) no more bumping into each other and spilling books on your shared interest on the ground and brushing your hair behind your ear! break into their apartment! pick their pocket! headbutt them at a metal gig!
BANDAGING THEIR WOUNDS (15 points) tenderness and violence is like onion and garlic to me. a perfect pair.
SPARRING/TRAINING TOGETHER (10 points) sicko voice: yesssssss
MEMORY LOSS (15 points) ooooooh from a curse? from a knock to the head? from evil cowboys?

A new month is starting soon, so here’s the next prompt list. This time I just let the random word generator give me 30 words, no special rules (I might go back to starting the prompts with the same letter as the month in July, but two months in a row with only “J-words” sounded a bit much to me …).
Anyway, here are the prompts — as always, feel free to join in the fun:
