Character details.

Damian is 19 but time gets iffy with dimensional travel.

Hasn't gotten to med school yet but maybe.

He got more therapy than baseline bats but that's not saying much.

Has been holing up in an abandoned firehouse as he tries to get back to his timeline.

Frequently found looting Wayne enterprises and the batcave for equipment.

The night was bright with the streetlights reflected off the rain clouds.

A night when even vigilantes decide to go inside to brood.

And this Gotham has so so many more of them then home. Damian thinks with a grimace.

A green tarp lit up in a corner of one of the more run down warehouses by the docks.

A lone figure working under it to avoid the growing leaks.

Damian swore as the flash tablet let off a sharp crack of lightning and blue smoke. Again

“Of course I have to find a Gotham with even worse weather than normal. And the recall is on the Fritz. I'm going to strangle whichever flash built this stupid thing!”

Damian tosses the multimeter into the side of a crate out of spite.

Nightingale slammes down on the ground hard. Consciousness evades her as the world dances around her eyes in a blurry haze and the gray and neon of Gotham. Her right arm encapsulates her left side as she coveres it, blood oozing out in a steady flow. Why she decided to grapple back home, she may never know.

Maybe she should've gotten more sleep the previous night; her movements wouldn't have been slow and she wouldn't have gotten stabbed. Though, she did want to put much more of the blame on the idiot that did stab her—and had clearly wanted to.

Years of experience on the street out of costume taught her that her skin, for some reason, wasn't easily pierced. It's not something that she ever understood about herself, but she'd seen much weirder things in Gotham.

Damian was pulled from his brooding by the loud smack of flesh against the roof

That had to hurt. It didn't sound like bane or any of the big guys.

Damian tucks the tablet under the table and pulls his hood up.

Let's see what idiot needs help tonight.

His grapple snaps up to the fire escape with a quiet wrr. He easily lands on the railing barely rattling the steel. He leans into the shadows as he observes.

"Nightwing?"

He whispers as he sees the bleeding figure.

Nightingale turns over, the man hidden in the shadows in the dark alleyway. Great, so this is how she dies—bleeding in an alleyway, stabbed to death, with a funny quip as her last words. She wondered how many people would actually miss her. She came up with none.

"Common misconception—we have the same first name, after all. But he's much more flippy. It's Nightingale, actually. And I may look like I'm in no condition to fight, but I just need a reason, so square up, jackass." The words came out bold, for someone who was slurring each vowel, and barely had any coherence or strength left in her.

Yeah, the knife was definitely not normal and laced with something.

Damian sighs and starts to gather his medical supplies. Ignoring the bravado as he steps closer.

"Well you were definitely trained by the family. Only a bat would be stupid enough to start a fight with a gaping knife wound."

Let's see if it's stitches or Hemostatic Spray.

"At least some things never change. Nightingale Ts We never were very original with names."

Damian holds up the red and white spray can with a shake as he squats next to the impertinent woman.

"Want some help or are we doing this by veterinarian rules?"

Nightingale gazed at the man stepping closer to her, no bells of recognition in her brain.

"Man, I don't fuckin' know ya or ya family. And no, the bats didn't really train me, or name me. Nor do most of them know I exist."

She took a breath. Compliance was seldom better than death, but she was willing to give him a chance.

"Do I really wanna know the vet rules?" She inquired, removing her right hand from her left side.

"I'd be worried if you had. Multiverse nonsense. I think your universe is still on Robin number 4? I have to say you must be pretty good if the bat is unaware or ignoring you."

Damian says with a sigh annoyed he won't be home anytime soon.

"Hood is probably still green eyed and snarling. So I'm probably still in the Himalayas."

Damian subconsciously scratches at the scar on the back of his neck.

Might have to try to get him out early.

"Heavy gloves and assuming The patient is going to be pissed off enough to bite you."

Damian makes a quick motion pressing the applicator into her side. knowing the sealant is going to hurt and hoping to distract the young woman.

"Better question, you got someone to call or do I need to steal a car to get you to a safehouse?"

it’s wild to me how there is literally ZERO correlation between what a piece of media is like and what its fanworks are like. 2014 captain america fans were out there writing poetry and full-on academic papers inside of their fics. sonic the hedgehog and my little pony fandoms are both famous for drawing fetishes you’ve never even heard of. les miserables fans spent most of their energy on college aus. there is literally no consistency or observable pattern and it’s incredible

At least this thing has a battery system. The solar panels would have sucked to get working.

It takes a few moments to guide the robot through the portal before Damian opens another and a proper T-Rex steps through with a growl.

"I know it's not your favorite place but the family needs some training on situational awareness."

The T-Rex seems to smirk as it leans down to sniff him.

"at the very least we can scare Tim into not pulling all nighters."
