Sounds kind of similar to spirithqs plot tbh :/

I’ve never heard of the rpg before, seeing as there are so many out there, but I did just check out the plot. The similarities I can see?

small town rpg

murder rpg (where a teenager was a victim)

Besides that, didn’t see much of anything else, albeit I just glanced. Now I can, with a hundred percent certainty, say that our plot is not based off theirs if that’s what you’re getting at. Which, in so many words it seems like you may be saying, but considering the internet is the way it is and that text is funny and intentions can get lost online maybe it’s something else. 

Maybe what really stuck out to you was the murder part of the plot, because that’s the only thing that I can really see sticking, and if that’s the case I just wanted to point out that all murder rpgs are almost all going to look like each other in some way. Someone was killed, it’s normally a ‘small town’ or enclosed space, there are secrets, besides the police other people are also wondering or trying to figure out ‘who dun it’. Looks like SpiritHQs has their own twists and turns just like we do. The base concept though, isn’t new for anyone. Murder on the Orient Express , Riverdale , Devil , Clue.

is the plot your original plot idea?

Admin Pumpkin is taking a bit of a break at the moment so I’ll tackle this question as best I can seeing as my lovely friend did all of the writing for our plot. I’m going to do my best to keep this as short as I can but I can ramble – I’m excitable so excuse me. 

The plot we have now is actually a refined version of the original plot we’d started off with. Initially it was more werewolf centered, there were no other creatures in our town or in our world – it was just wolves. With that plot we did attempt to start an rpg and we found we had some trouble picking it up off the ground. After adding witches we did garner some interest but in the end we just couldn’t get it to stick. So we took some time and did a whole bunch of spitballing and now here we are. (Pumpkin is also a big fan of horror and the supernatural so she was also inspired by shows like Hemlock Grove and tons of other books she’s read.)
