how ya feelin about the Ch. 5 weird route?

WOW WEIRD ROUTE WOW WEIRD ROUTE

Okay, so I had to watch it after I finished ch 5 normal route because I didn't have a save file ready in time, and I wasn't patient enough to wait to play it myself. I do regret that now, since it would have been so much more impactful to play it blind, but it did save me the heart attack lmao.

I'm bad at expressing things with words, but I'm really glad with how it was handled, literally no holding back on the horror elements, and the lack of narration from Kris also made me super emotional. Obviously ended abruptly, but it did deliver in the little time it had. Leaving us with more questions than answers in a route where WE are supposed to be in control just made the experience a lot more interesting to sit on.

Anyway, I'm glad it's not pulling any punches and I'm just drowning myself in the things other people articulate about it as well because WAOW WAOW WAOW.

I was not expecting Ralsei as Maki AT ALL but I'm in love with this. Like. The linelessness is perfect. His expressions are so detailed. The various shapes that appear in the fire like the hear shape that springs off in the second. And the way you incorporated the motion distortion with his clothes is really well-done; the heart symbol in particular looks like it's been bent and warped into an Angel symbol, which is so interesting. And honestly, the choice to use this shot also works with how almost dancelike the motion is, flowing neatly as his half-smile fades away from him.

This is peak.
