Tom Hanks is in talks of a role for the upcoming Phase 2 of the Wonder Cinematic Universe (WCU). According to Aaron Moon, the films of Phase 2 will be announced during the Fanfic Expo 2016, which is to take place in April of 2016.
Pip Andersen joins the cast of The Defenders: Provenance in an undisclosed role. The film is expected to begin filming on Spring of 2016.
ASM Network Variety Show!
ASM Network announced Tuesday morning that it is currently developing a comedy sketch and musical variety show, closely adapted from NBC’s Saturday Night Live. The only difference, according to one of the producers Neil Lowden, is that the variety show will be more of a musical variety show than a comedy sketch show, but will still feature both acts. The structure of the show will be quite similar to SNL, with a celebrity guest hosting each week. The network is in the process of looking for cast members, and the decision on whether the variety show will go through will come early next year.
Jayson Blair snags the lead role in ASM Network’s soap opera, Until The End of Time, which is scheduled to premiere on 2016.
Rowan Blanchard joins the cast of the 2016 Fanfic Channel sitcom, Hollywood Life. The series revolves around the story of tv characters from a supernatural tv show being pulled into the real world, with their roles as actors and actresses. The series is set to premiere early 2016, which is created by Amanda Aberdein and Scott Schneider.
Fanfic Studios Expansion
Fanfic Studios begun its expansion early on this year and by Christmas Day this year, the expansion would be finished. The expansion includes 30 Soundstage Studios, a backlot including exterior building sets for New York, Washington DC, Seattle, Chicago and San Francisco. The backlot also features a large lot with numerous actual residential houses with real interiors. The studio has also established a lake set, with a surrounding forest, a campground, and a desert set. In the entrance to the studios is an office building that houses the headquarters for Fanfic Studios, Fanfic Animation Studios, and Fanfic Pictures. The studio also has an extended lot that features four large sound stages, and the headquarters for Wonder Entertainment.
X-Factor finalists 4th Impact, who were eliminated from the Live Show’s 5th week, is set to guest star on ASM Network’s My Musical Life as well as Fanfic Channel’s University Rockstars. The sister group, who comes from the Philippines, is also set to perform at the Fanfic Holiday Parade 2015 in New York on December 19, 2015.
Casey Moss joins the cast of Hollywood Life on Fanfic Channel.
Fanfic Channel has announced seven new series to premiere for 2016, featuring sitcoms Double Trouble, Hollywood Life, Jessica Newman, Living The Life, Ninja Orphans and Wizards in Training. The network will also air its first animation series, Young Detectives. Fanfic Channel President, Axel Torres, has also stated that the series will develop more animated series in the future, including a series under the working title, Bradford Prep. The animated series would fill up the daytime schedule of the network, while all live action series will air on the primetime schedule.
Fanfic Channel revives the sitcom, Behind The Desk, after being cancelled after its first season. Damian Grieves is reportedly replacing Aaron Moon as the show runner but Moon remains the creator of the series. The whole cast will reprise their roles except for Sam Gittins, who play Brent DeLuca. Gittins currently stars in the ASM series, Last Man Standing. Casting is underway for one addition male main character. Fanfic Channel has ordered 24 episodes for the second season, which is due to premiere on February 19, 2016.
Fanfic Channel series Avatar, Revenge & The Supernaturals, will be moved to its sister channel, ASM Network. The move was announced by The Fanfic Network president, Rebecca Norwood, to create a better channel for younger audiences. Fanfic Channel will focus more on catering to audiences 16 and below, while ASM Network will cater to those 17 and above.
ASM Network has ordered a full season for its Wonder series, Mr. & Mrs. Agents, from 18 episode to a total of 22 episodes.
Amy Okuda and Shannon Kook to join the cast of Room 22A, after Vanessa Hudgens and James Reid left the series due to conflict in schedules. The series is scheduled to begin production this week for a premiere date of February 2016.
ASM Network has picked up its comedy series, How to be a Parent, for a second season. The series started strong with 7.92 million US viewers on its premiere night. The series, which starts Dylan O’Brien and Cameron Boyce, revolves around the adventures of making a college student in charge of a young troublesome kid for life. The second season is set to premiere in the Spring of 2016, with 24 episodes in order, compared to its 12-episode first season. Production for the series begins next week.
Jude Law joins the cast of The Defenders: Provenance, which stars Charlie Hunnam, Mike Vogel, Matt Lanter, Emma Stone, Peyton Meyer, Taron Egerton, Jamie Chung, Zac Efron, Orlando Bloom, Kate Mara and Dennis Quaid.
ASM Network orders a third Wonder Studios series, Alpha Agents. The drama will focus on an elite team created by COMBAT, consisting of recruits around Asia, Australia and Africa, as they handle extraordinary threats and investigate strange events in the region. Aaron Moon will serve as the showrunner for the series, with Duncan Napier set to direct the pilot episode.
Alpha Agents will be the third Wonder series, after Mr. & Mrs. Agents and Nightblast. The series is set to premiere during Nightblast’s midseason hiatus. The series will use one of Nightblast’s episodes as a a backdoor pilot.
According to a source from Fanfic, the producers have approached Kerry Washington to play the team’s handler, Zana Brau, who is one of the ten executive directors of COMBAT. Moon states that his plans for Brau’s character is to be the bridge between the series’ Universe as well as the Films. Likewise, Jensen Ackles’ character in Nighblast is the bridge between that series and the films, appearing in Vulture.
Harry Shum Jr. and Ludi Lin have both been cast in the series, as well Freida Pinto, Baoqiang Wang and Yvonne Strahovski. ASM has ordered 18 episodes for the series.
Fanfic Channel president, Axel Torres, announced today that the cancelled Fanfic series, Kyle & Jane, will be re-released on October 2, starting with its premiere episode. The channel has also decided to air the rest of the episodes of the series after the premiere and the second episode. However, the series remains cancelled and is only being shown as requested by fans.
