How did I not realize how much WHook and Jefferson have in common?

Both are single fathers that love their daughters more than life itself.

They’re separated from them by a witch, due to their own weaknesses (Killian dueled and Jefferson agreed to one last mission, despite both of their better judgments). Both were only reunited with their precious daughters after a curse. Both lost a lot of time with their daughters. Alice is now a grown woman. Grace is a pre-teen.

They both have so much guilt and only want what’s best for their little girls They have to deal with the knowledge of how much time they lost.

Killian tries to tell Jefferson though, that even though he lost time with Grace, he needs to still act as a parent. He can’t let her get away with murder. It was hard for him to be hard on Alice too sometimes, but they need stability.

Grace and Alice bonding over having such faith in their fathers, never losing hope in them. Also dealing with the pain of losing their dads for so long, worrying that they’re not going to be good enough because they’re not little girls anymore. Yet, Jefferson and Killian making sure they know that they’re still their daughters, still their little girls.

Yeah, I have feelings.

When your littlest ones design things with little blobs and swirls of color, Jefferson puts the most care into those hats and is so proud when they become the most popular in his shop. He uses the money to buy beautiful fabrics for you and leather for Alice's boots and such.
