Honestly, g/t as a symbolism for the nervousness/terror that can come with professing your feelings for someone.
They’re a giant. Grande in every possible way. Whenever you look at them your heart flutters. You hide away because you’re afraid of what they’ll do to you when they catch you, afraid that when it happens, you’ll never be able to let go.
Despite how much you gaze upon them every single day, they don’t know you’re there. Going upon their own mundanity of life while you sit there trying to figure out how to say hello, or how to introduce yourself without freaking them out and locking away the chance of you two ever being something.
Every time they speak their words echo within your mind, loud, powerful, and meaningful. Their entire form takes up your gaze, and hands you so eagerly want to hold you lay at their side empty - if only you were there.
And when they do find you, when you can’t evade them any longer… Who knows what will happen.
Got an award for my creative writing at school ( for my entire portfolio).
I’ve never considered myself that great of a writer, but getting things like these really does put a pep in my step. May be studying to become an MD, but that doesn’t mean I’ll let my creative side die.
And for everyone else, keep writing! All of y’all in the g/t community are so amazing with the stories you create!
Godzilla but bisexual lighting
Lil early for pride month, but that’s ok (when I went into this I did NOT think I’d go anywhere close to this direction lol)
Gonna see Obsession this Tuesday and am already planning another rewatch before I see the Backrooms film on Thursday.
Genuinely one of the best horror movies I have ever watched.
Inde deserves an Oscar for her performance and the film in general deserves at the very least a nomination for its screenplay.
Horror and film in general is going through history rn. Hopefully the backrooms will pull through and also contribute to this new wave of pure artistry.
Show Hollywood that we don’t need 200mil blockbusters. We need films that have something to say, and that aren’t afraid to take risks. Give audiences something good, give us something new, give us something that makes us think.
Man. I am Obsessed over Obsession
Anyone remember the movie Meet Dave?
It’s such an interesting side of g/t ngl. Tinies pretending to be human (ngl I have used this plot device before and I am doing it again, hence why I got reminded of the movie lol)
Humans, but mecha 😈
WHY ARENT THERE MORE HORROR MOVIES WITH GIANTS
Yes! And honestly, there needs to be more horror with g/t in general. Shrinking can be used in such a terrifying way if written correctly (such as a person shrinking someone due to their own infatuation with them, and the loss of autonomy/general grossness of the situation ensues.)
But 100% with giants as well. Would be awesome to see a flick that takes place in a relatively uninhabited part of the world where people are forced to try and survive their due to unfortunate circumstances (such as a plane crash), only for a massive creature - giant- to be the main antagonist. Or have a science experiment gone wrong in a small town, creating a powerful, and angry being who may have once been a kind gentle soul, their mind shifted and broken into something intangible.
So many other things to think of as well! G/t as a genre has so many interesting avenues to go down. Especially in the form of power imbalance/ general terror of an unstoppable being. Surprised we haven’t had more (current) horrors that have taken the idea and put it up to 100. Gimme a home invasion, but it’s borrowers instead. Gimme an old folk tail but it’s a giant with the ability for voice mimicry calling out to people in the night to lure them in and then eat them. Gimme so many things.
Ngl gang, the reason I wrote that “picking up a tiny” piece is because I watched the new horror movie Obsession and was so incredibly in need of comfort lol.
Had to write about a cute and wonderful relationship to cure my soul of what I had just watched
Honestly, imagine the feeling of actually picking up a tiny person…. It’d be so.. Weird, but so amazing.
They were lying down, asleep. As you go to wrap your thumb and forefinger around them, it almost doesn’t seem real. Your pointer finger pushes into their back, their spine offering a slight bumpy feeling alongside the slight curve of their back; And your thumb presses onto their waste and stomach. It’s plush, so incredibly soft, delicate… And warm. Small breaths push against your finger, and a groan escapes their mouth, but they don’t wake.
You go to pick them up, expecting a form of effort, even if small, to be required. But it isn’t. It’s as if you’re picking a dandelion off the ground, only the softest weight around your fingers exist, their head lolling as they move. As they rise, you slowly begin to curl your fingers, not enough to shift them within your palm, but to act as a cradle. Their legs softly grazing your fingers with each shift. As you bring them higher, closer to your face, their micro-expressions become far more visible. Each scrunch of their nose as they dream, every little head movement, and the feeling of small shifts between your fingers.
Eventually, you carefully shift your hand to a vertical position and being to fully wrap your fingers around them, loosening your other two as you do. Their entire form, besides their head, hidden beneath. You slowly return your hand to a horizontal position and unwrap your fingers, the pressure once against them now gone. Their previously “face forward” sleeping position now being one where their stomach faces your palm, arms and legs sprawled out calmly against your skin. It’s almost imperceptible, but you can feel their soft breaths as they sleep, a miniature tickle. Their body, while warm, competes with the heat rising from your own palm, a heat that, if you were their size, you’d be jealous of.
They shift within your palm, turning on their side and slightly tuck their legs in. Their arms remain in their own “one slightly stretched out and the other tucked”. As you observe them, you couldn’t help but feel a flutter in your heart. They were so… Small. So fragile. So incredibly unfitting of the world that they existed in, their own existence being one that bewilders you to no end. But as they lay in your palm, a weight that barely exists, you can’t help but be completely enamored by them. You began to become lost within them.
Your breath hitches as they begin to stir, heart beating ever so slightly faster. And then, they look at you. A warmth filling their eyes, but one that slowly shifts into something unpleasant. You told them that you’d wake them up if they ever fell asleep during a movie, and here you are trying to support their snoozing. Way to go, time to rewind.
Gotta have a human make their giant friend alongside themself in tomodachi life 2, but make themself just slightly taller than the giant.
Someone draw this pls, or I may just have to do it myself…
Phycotic giants, who are lowkey a lil evil are one of my favorite things.
Sure you can get some cute fluff with them, but let them be a little insane and kind of mean overall - scaring a tiny for fun sort of thing. (the harder it is to get to their soft side the better!).
Or give me an evil tiny. I don’t discriminate. Make them be a menace to society in that they will set traps and cause bodily harm to you just because it makes them laugh.
(As a professional villain enjoyer, I can’t hide the fact that I love when characters are a little twisted)
I’ve been in too much of a fluffy mood. Had to switch it up
Man. Imagine just being sprawled out on a giant’s chest and listening to their heartbeat. A drum pounding against your form, each thump you can feel reverberating beneath you, the dance of life. A constant signifier of the reality that is their existence and their care for you. It’s slow, slower than yours, only speeding up ever so slightly whenever you shift, repositioning yourself on the environment that is your partner.
Hearing their breaths. Each inhale and exhale moving your entire body as you grip into the fabric of their shirt beneath you. If you close your eyes, you could almost imagine being in the middle of the ocean, both the feeling and sound of the waves filling your mind. The fabric, coarse on your fingers, holds the heat that radiates from their body. A heat that lays beneath you, but still gives you an undefinable sense of warmth. As if a mini-sun was locked away within their core, providing you with an ever lasting heat.
How did you ever get so lucky for this to happen to you?
It’s not something that I usually write about, but dang do I sometimes really enjoy stories that have really really small tinies. And I mean less than half a cm tall.
I do understand that interactions becomes really difficult at the scale, hence making it not everyone’s cup of tea but gang…. I think that’s what I love most about it.
The fragility of it all is such a wonderful story builder, the gentleness and care the giant needs to take alongside the bravery the tiny has to muster. It’s up to a combination of the tiny trusting the giant and the giant trusting themself. They can’t vocalize with each other (unless they have some high tech), so everything that occurs is through physical communication.
Just imagine sitting on a finger that is larger than a room. Feeling the small groves of their fingerprint under your form. Or just sitting on their hand, it being an environment of its own. Each small crease to them is a small hill to you, fingers off in the distance lay idle, each one bigger than a building. When their hand curls, a cave is formed that only you can explore. A whole new environment created from the simplest of actions. Heat dances across your face, it’s a surreal experience, and so incredibly amazing.
And up, far, far, above is the giant. Watching your every move across themself. The weight of your whole body barely perceptible to them, as if a soft breeze tickled their hand. Their eye could swallow you whole. Pools of color focusing entirely on you, their expression soft, and their breathing light. They were doing everything in their power to make sure that you would be ok.
They had total control over you. No matter what you did you truly would have no power over them. But that didn’t matter, the fact didn’t even cross your mind. You know them, and you know they adore you more than anything in the world. Sure your height difference may be one to be put in the books. But it would be one that you two wrote together (even when only one could actually use a pen).
Hm, looks like there may be a live action Ferngully movie happening (directed by Marielle Heller).
All that I ask is we get more g/t and they slightly change the ending (let them interact one last time!)
Live actions remakes are very very silly. But what can you do
