2017.

This is a revival.

I’m writing this as a I sit on my bed. Tuffy lays at my feet. He seems tired. Or maybe he’s sad. I’m waiting to hop on a webinar called Craving: Faith by one of my favorite bloggers Hannah Brencher. For the past 3 years, as the new year rolls in, Bry & I have created vision boards. For the past 2 years, we cut out pictures from magazines (Rolling Stones, science mags, a few Entertainment Weeklys, etc.) to visualize how we want the new year to look like.

This year we tried something different. On poster board, we each made our 2017 web. Like silk threads extending from the center of our web, we chose parts of our life we want to focus on.

This year my goals revolve around spirituality, family/friends, teaching, self-care, marriage, and home.

Overall I want my year to be rooted in these words:

Be intentional.

Be relentless.

Be refreshed.

For January, I’ve especially been mulling over the idea of being relentless. I’m finding that I’ve been thinking about pushing forward mostly as an educator. But I want to be relentless in other parts of my life. Like, relentless with self-care.
