Harry Osborn publicly shows Oscorp’s hand in the Hart Island Facility’s operation as a show of goodwill.
A S.H.I.E.L.D. S.T.R.I.K.E. team has a disastrous encounter with a person of interest with unknown enhanced abilities. Several agents lose their lives in the incident.
Tony Stark and Bruce Banner's work with the discovered Ultron technology grows complicated. While Bruce chooses to compromise to allow for further research, new insight is brought to the table in the form of input from T’Challa Okonkwo.
The memorial service held for the fallen S.H.I.E.L.D. agents of the Iliad collapses into chaos after Alexander Pierce is assassinated.
→ December 28th - January 18th:
With the crash of the Iliad and now Pierce’s death pinned on supposed anti-registration individuals, public opinion turns even more strongly toward support of the Accords and soon, registration is recommended for all enhanced individuals, regardless of their affiliation or occupation.
As a direct result of the loss of life following the S.T.R.I.K.E. encounter with unknown enhanced persons, S.H.I.E.L.D. tasks several members of its Science Division with the job of inventing and crafting a means to detecting such individuals in the field in order to better protect their operatives.
As unregistered heroes begin going underground, unlikely allies emerge, offering their support along with providing shelter, supplies, and communication.
S.H.I.E.L.D. gains a new asset and a strong proponent of The Accords in the Vision.
After an ugly misstep with HYDRA, Bucky Barnes contacts Sharon Carter to hand him over to the authorities.
Following Alexander Pierce’s assassination and his replacement as the Secretary of the World Security Council by a HYDRA plant, the WSC begins to take more and more initiative in apprehending anti-registration individuals.
→ January 19th - February 8th:
The World Security Council unilaterally begins implementing the detection device for offensive means.
Circumstances within the Hart Island Facility take a dark turn.
Having ties throughout the various facets of the superhuman community, Wanda Maximoff approaches the mutant community and the other scattered super-fugitives with the offer to use Cerebro as a means to combat the detection technology aiding in the enforcement of The Accords.
S.T.R.I.K.E. Squadrons tasked with superhuman containment - known as “capekillers” - continue to apprehend and arrest anti-registration individuals, not always at the behest of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s leadership.
→ February 9th - February 23rd:
Harry Osborn assists Sharon Carter and Maria Hill in investigating the circumstances inside Hart Island Prison with the added help of additional, surprising allies.
As the World Security Council’s influence within S.H.I.E.L.D. grows and becomes inescapable, an insider seeks out the heroes on the run, tipping them off to the locations of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s carbonadium stores, the material used to create the lethal, power-reducing bullets arming the capekillers.
→ February 24th - March 12th:
The intel provided by the S.H.I.E.L.D. insider hatches a plan. The resistance extends an offer of truce to the heroes supporting The Accords. Not all is as it seems, and the first crippling blow to the pro-registration movement is dealt.
→ March 12th - March 31st:
The information gathered from their investigation, Sharon Carter and Maria Hill work with Harry Osborn to break into the Hart Island Facility and free those held within its walls.
Details on the horrors prisoners underwent in the Hart Island Facility are publicly exposed.
The United Nations announces a period of amnesty to superhuman fugitives while The Accords are to be amended to ensure no such horrors take place under their watch again.
