This is the bottom of a flat cast iron skillet my father bought in the mid-60s to make roti for himself and other men like himself, who just immigrated to Canada without their wives. He worked in plywood mills and lived with these men so he could save enough money to send to India, until my mother finally arrived in 1971. The bottom of the skillet needs restoration, but the top of the skillet is totally fine and we use it today. Happy Father's Day.
