「 The salty air drifted through the city, combing through Touko’s chesnut tresses. Rays of the sun reflected in the waves as Samurott jumped happily, doing nifty tricks in his natural habitat. She’d learn a thing or two from an old friend of hers, that every now and then, Pokemon needed to revisit what they’d felt was the closest to home. 

Droplets of water splashed upon her visage, an invitation from Samurott to join him in the waters. Touko splashed back at him playfully, going back and forth with him until he mysteriously stopped. She peered over at him, worried as he seem’d to have shrunk in embarrassment.」

❝Samurott...? What’s wrong?❞

「 Touko felt the presence of another in the area. Her instincts told her to turn to the person next to her: a beautiful girl in white, a part of her dress wet from their previous shenanigans. Samurott must’ve thought he’d made her angry, even though she didn’t appear to be. 」

❝My apologies, ma’am!❞ Touko stood strong, giving a light bow at the stranger before her. ❝Samurott and I were just rough housing, we didn’t mean to get your dress wet. May I offer to pay for dry cleaning?❞

"Ah, um, are you alright?" Looking to the other, concern clear in her eyes.

She didn’t quite understand what it was that made her feel oddly out of place until the blonde peered at her with concern. 

Ah, of course. 

Her thick, tangled tresses broke apart the hair tie again. Touko usually had spares, but it appears that they’d all come apart as well. Now, she was left with a messy head full of strands sticking out. 

❝It appears I’m out of hair ties again… ❞

“she says her name is Leech!” he heads into his home and too a room full of small aquariums, he reaches inside to pick out a pyukumuku. “Isn’t she the cutest?!”

“Yes! Friends indeed Touku, i am not ready to be a father!” he gathers the flowers in his hands and walks back toward his home, looking back to see if she followed. “Someone dropped off a pokemon I’ve never seen before, I have been learning about her.” he changes the subject.

Sorry Touko I don’t think he heard you “so its human mating season. So I am assuming people present flowers in attempts to woo potential mates then.”  he seems lost in thought a moment before looking at her again realizing just what he’s done, accepting them back now would be very rude! But he also doesn’t want to give off the wrong idea!

“Please keep them. I don’t need anything in return! a gift for a friend! Yes!” Naow wanders over and grabs N, giving him a teasing noogie and they seem to exchange a few words in the language of pokemon before his face turns a shade of pink.

The notion that Touko could possibly have feelings for him barely ever occurred to her, though it wasn’t an insane one either.

She recalled once before, when she casually said in passing to her friends that N in particular was special to her. They’d tease her for it after, but it was the truth.

“what do you mean by special feelings?” friend? maybe? He’s not sure. He knows of romance yes, and sex (in some warped way anyway) but it’s still going miles above him head. Mostly because he doesn’t see how something like a flower can be seen as a sort of gift in that way.

He has flowers he picked himself and holds them out to her "I saw people exchanging flowers in town. So It must be a sort of day for it?"

Her rough fingers, detailed with callus’s, curled around the stems. She’d admit, it was a beautiful flower petal arrangement. Though that had only raised the already existing suspicion she had of his behavior even more.

❝N. . . do you know why people exchange flowers on this day?❞ she questioned before further interpretation of this gesture.

Touko chooses her clothes based on its level of convenience, efficiency, and ease in mobility. She absolutely refuses to wear constricting, high maintenance clothing, and generally likes to stick to simple and easy outfits. However, Touko is not opposed to wearing ‘dress up’ attire if it does not interfere with her physical ability to navigate the world.
