''Pff. . . .'' The kid's reaction when Kamui caught him was really funny, he was trying to not crack up. Although, it clicked that Lambo mentioned getting hit by lightning? Kamui had a hellish childhood, but that was definitely not included. Didn't sound very enjoyable, yet Lambo was so casual when saying he can handle it.

''Hmm. . . . this Goku-whatever person is pretty ignorant. There's quite a lot of different types of aliens, the race of aliens I come from are the strongest ~!'' Kamui says that rather proudly, ''They're called the Yato!''

It was rare for him to come across humans that didn't know about the Amanto already, extremely rare. Did this Lambo kid live under a rock? His question especially perplexed Kamui,

''Ehh ~? This is Earth! Did something happen to your brain when you got hit by lightning, little brat?'' Maybe it got fried, or something like that. Kamui didn't really know much about that stuff.

''Maybe I should take you to a doctor or something. . . .''

“Yeah, he’s pretty ignorant, but Lambo-san is very understanding and mag-mag…magnimoose? ANYWAYS! Lambo-san is generous!” He thought it was pretty cool that Kamui was an alien. He was really cool! Very strong and fun! He’s got that ‘big-bro’ energy about him, you know? They’re always fun to play with!

“Are you the strongest Yato, big bro? You’re so cool! I bet you can beat up all the bad guys. The police is nothing to you!” An average kid would think the police are the good guys, but this kid grew up with the mafia, so to him… they are the bad guys! They get in the way of work!

“Ah? This is Earth? It’s different from my Earth.” Lambo looks around, taking in the sights. Seeing as they were both speaking Japanese… “Is this Japan? Lambo-san used technology to come from a different universe! Right! Lambo is here looking for Haru! She landed in this universe!” How to prove it that he’s not from this universe/world?

“Lambo-san can summon his buddy! Come on out, Gyuudon!” something on his person glows and out comes out a giant bull. “Can the people of your Earth do this? This is Lambo-san’s friend, Gyuudon!” This should prove that he’s not crazy, but instead from another universe, right?

If he can accept Kamui is a cool alien bro, then Kamui can accept Lambo is a universe traveler.

Blink, blink.

He's sturdy? Maybe this Lambo kid wasn't just some normal kid then. Kamui hasn't exactly been around too much normalcy, but he knew to be especially careful with children on Earth, since they were fragile. He can break a bone of theirs quite easily, which is something he'd prefer avoiding.

''You're really sturdy, huh. . . . ?'' Throwing Lambo might not involve any consequence, unless of course, he ended up in space. It should be fine though, since yes, Kamui was considering it. He'd hold the child with both his arms to have a better grip on him.

''Okay, get ready ~!'' Kamui announces eagerly, ''1. . . 2. . . and-!'' He tossed the child several feet, really far up into the air. He looked up, seeing him go, looking amused.

''Woah. . . . maybe I overdid it.''

Although, when the boy came back down, Kamui caught him. ''So, how was your little trip up in the sky? Hahaha. You went pretty high up.'' He couldn't help laughing over the whole thing.

"Yeah! I can get hit by lightning and it'll be fine!" He just had a special constitution for it. To him, lightning was like a kitten, didn't do too much to him if he was well prepared for it.

The kid was just bubbling with excitement at this point. He wanted to see how far he could be thrown! Soon enough he was launched a number of feet up into the air. "GUPYAAAAAAAAA---" There he goes, a little shooting cow-child.

He could see so much from way up high! Interesting how some places looked so familiar and yet- also not! So surreal!

Lambo laughs, "you're good at playing up-high! It was fun! You're really strong, Nii-san!" Stronger than his other bros, and they're pretty strong, you know? "So you're really an alien? Are you wearing a disguise? Gokudera says that Aliens have green skin! Guess he's wrong, huh?"

Kamui didn't look too different from a regular human, so it was interesting to learn that he was an alien! "Right! Where is this, anyways? Lambo-san comes from Earth!"

''Hmm. . . . . .'' He hums in thought, seeing as the child didn't believe he was not human. Kamui did often encounter such an issue, given his appearance did strongly resemble that of a human. But, it felt rather insulting to be compared to such an inferior race. He was pretty sure he could snap this little brat like a twig without even breaking a sweat. However, Kamui didn't hurt children. Something in him just prevented him from ever considering it.

Kamui does, however, picks him up by the scruff of his shirt with ease. Still adorning his smile, albeit it was hiding irritation. ''How about I throw you, so you can find out?'' Empty threat, since no one ever said Kamui wouldn't bully the kid. That's something he was pretty good at, being an old brother to his own annoying little sister.

''Let's see if the cops save you then, since they never managed to stop me before.''

So he's really gonna throw Lambo-san if he can be thrown into space? Is he really an alien who has super strength or something like that? Lambo has met a ghost before and other cool stuff, so you can't scare him! The cops that cut people haven't managed to stop him before? What a thing to say...

He sounds... so... cool! Even Lambo has gotten caught by the cops at least once because of the weapons he carried on him from Italy. What are the secrets to not getting caught? Maybe this bro is some super elite mafia guy or something?

"Yeah! Let's do it! Lambo-san has gotten stuck in gunfire and explosions before, so Lambo-san is sturdy!" Searching for his friend has already left his brain. Testing whether Kamui was an alien or a dude who loves box hair dye was more important! "Ah! But you can't throw Lambo-san into space! He can't breathe then!" He doesn't wanna die in the pursuit of 'are you an alien, mr.bro?'

"If you can throw Lambo-san really high, he'll believe you, Nii-san!"

Viper walked in hastily, wondering if they were interrupting fon’s practice, warm-up, training, whatever session. Not that they cared. They watched as several younger practitioners and their tyrogues and machops hit onto punching bags and wooden stands, their black robe clearly sticking out in the vibrant colours.

Espurr, on its own accord, pops out of the pokeball as they got closer to where fon is. The rest of their team knew better.

Awkwardly standing behind the martial artist who… seemed to be busy with something, they poked his shoulder.

“Espurr’s looking for scorbunny, she really wanted to come here.”

They sighed, before whipping out a small box, blush visible. “Yea, happy birthday too.” Espurr, with scorbunny, approached them as the purple cat smiled. Viper didn’t yell at it (they wanted to.)

Fon noticed when Viper walked in hastily, but he kept his patience and waited. He knew better than to stop what he was doing, drawing more attention to them when entirely unnecessary. Of course, pokemon had wills of their own and Espurr approached him, poking his shoulder.

He calls for a short recess so the students could go as they pleased. Some continued to practice while some to chatting with one another. It was somehow endearing how upfront the pokemon was in contrast to it’s pokemon trainer.

“Scorbunny, it looks like your friend is here to play with you.” Fon calls out, and from the hallway is an excited cry before the little bunny pokemon slides into the room with a pebble it was using for dribbling practice. It seemed his pokemon was doing some kind of welcoming dance for his little friend.

“Oh? Thank you, Viper, I appreciate the gift. Would you like a cup of tea while the pokemon play together?”

Ravein doesn't really lie all that often. He's pretty honest. If there is a situation where he doesn't want to speak the truth... he normally just keeps quiet.

He's pretty silent in general, as we know, so it isn't that uncharacteristic for him to keep his silence. On the off chance that he has to say something, he normally would attempt to find a way to speak the truth while not hurt the other's feelings.

If it's a matter of needing to lie in order to hide important information from an enemy on the off chance that he was captured or something? Then, I could see himself lying in order to fool the enemies and he would do his best to believe the lies that he's saying if it would help the enemy believe in his lies.

He may unwittingly lie because he truly believes in what he thinks while being incorrect in reality. That's pretty much it, I'd think. He is a pretty honest soul.

“I should have guessed…” – Nunnally smiled; truth to be told, she had not noticed that bunny mug, but otherwise that was an obvious pick for Ravein – “It seems that there are more persons, who like bunnies.” - Did she like them herself? Now certainly. Before, despite liking nature in general, she didn’t pay much attention to them. Perhaps she would have said she was more of a flower or a bird person, but that wasn’t necessarily right either.

Grabbing the mug of her choice, she smiled to Ravein again: --

“I’ll make our orders, bring the drinks, and then we can start. Especially that you’ve discovered the aprons.” – she moved her head towards the aprons; still surprised (slightly) how quickly he was able to notice such seemingly unimportant details. But then again she shouldn’t be surprised. After all knowing about his past should be the best explanation. On how he acted. On what he noticed. On what was important.

“I am hopeless with directions.” – she admitted – “I mean I can easily get lost in buildings with too many similar corridors. Have I told you that before? But it might be as well that I am simply not paying enough attention…”

“I like walking without any particular destination in mind…it's like me...daydreaming...” – Nunnally laughed – “Please grab us the aprons and then choose the table you like. I’ll soon be back with our drinks.”   

She was, indeed, quick. Holding two cups in her hands.

“There!” – Nunnally chirped happily; placing the mugs onto the table, and putting on an apron around her. Her long pale digits touched the clay. She had always liked how it felt. So raw.

“Have you touched it already? I’ve always liked how it feels on your skin.” – she kept talking; extending her hand with the clay slab towards him – “Feel it Rav, it’s so earthy.”

“Shall we call for some assistance, or do you think we’ll be just fine on our own?”

“I can show you something but I guess I’ve forgotten a lot. So somewhen in the process we’ll need to get some help anyway.” – Nunnally sat down and took a sip of her drink; it tasted nice.

“How’s your chocolate?”

He was very grateful for the fact that Nunnally was always very patient with him and more than willing to offer aid whenever necessary. It wasn’t impossible for him to order, because the workers were literate, but it certainly did attract a lot of unneeded attention, and it did cause some awkward situations at times. Nunnally and his uncle were very much needed people in his life, helping him navigate through life, trying to acclimate to a new lifestyle.

[Good with directions]

Understandable, given his background. As an assassin, you had to be good with directionality, or you’d get yourself lost trying to get to your target. It was also important to be aware of your surroundings so you could make your speedy getaways after your assassination attempt. No matter where he was going to go, he’d be sure to stake out the area first, or do his due diligence to research as much as he could into the matter. In fact, he came to visit the area just last night to assess any emergency exits should they need to use any.

Ravein nods his head and he goes over to pick out two aprons for them and then he goes to pick out two tables that were next to each other to work at and he sits down, patiently waiting for Nunnally to return. He was quite excited for the activity of the day if not readily evident by the fact that he already had the apron on and he was ever so slightly fidgeting from excitement.

Gratefully taking the cup, nodding his head as a wordless way of saying thanks, he takes a sip of the beverage before he admires the cup in his hands. The craftsmanship wasn’t the best by any means, but it was cute and it had character. He really liked how simple and whimsical it felt.

He gently sets aside the mug and fishes out the notebook again.

[Not yet. Waiting for you]

He wanted to wait for her arrival before he started to play with the clay. He also wanted to observe to see what other people were doing to get a good idea of what others did with their clay slabs. He could get inspiration, or get tips from how the more seasoned people operated.

The man suddenly looked excited-

He’d feel more comfortable watching her work to get some beginner tips on what to do and then he’d attempt trying to make something with his own hands.

For someone like him who had a sweet tooth, it was hard for him to find something he didn’t like.

“Happy Valentine’s Day, Ravein!” – Nunnally says. She’s put extra effort into looking nice today, and in a way, that surprises her. But here she is.

“Here…!” – she adds cheerfully – “I didn’t really make it myself this year. Maybe I should have, but this was just so cute…”

“Come on…” – she encourages him – “Open it.” – the box isn’t big, but it’s large enough; and wrapped with care, in several layers of paper. Sometimes, the unwrapping is more important than the gift inside. If Ravein decides to open it now, he’ll find a small lamp inside. One that can be placed next to the bed, small enough not to disturb dreams. But it’s not just any lamp. It’s a small rabbit, almost like it’s peeking out of a rabbit hole.

“I know it’s supposed to be for kids.” – she explains – “…but it was so cute I couldn’t help myself. I had to get it for you.” – now she’s slightly embarrassed –  “How about a mug of chocolate?” –  she adds – “I guess we’ll have to use Roberto’s kitchen. Everywhere else will be full of couples today.”

Ravein accepts the gift and he carefully unwraps the gift, removing each layer of paper with delicate care. He liked to keep parts of gift wrappings as a memento for the gifts that he's received.

Inside the box, he finds the lamp. It was small, but looked cute. Seeing that the theme was a cute bunny peeking out of a rabbit hole brings a smile to his face. He absolutely loved bunnies! He found them very cute, and they were the animals that his mother loved to make little crafts out of as their silhouette were easy to craft with.

He didn't mind at all that the gift was supposed to be for kids, because when you thought about it, he didn't really have a childhood. Yes, he spent his childhood years and even his teen years with his parents... but that was virtually it. He didn't have any friends to frolic in the grass with. He didn't get to go on fun trips with his family and enjoy life. His childhood was full of his parents making him fear the life 'outside' and being taught how to be wary of others finding their family hidden away from outsiders.

In a way, getting little gifts like these were healing.

"Mn, thanks."

He rummages in the pocket of his jacket and holds out a small box for Nunnally wrapped in a floral ribbon. Inside of the box was a tiny wooden carving of a hummingbird, one that was attached to a chain so she could wear it as a necklace. He remembered her saying that she liked birds, and he chose to carve a hummingbird due to the symbolism.

"Let's go."

Even if he's learned to start using his voice around her, he still was a man who used as little words as possible. He holds out his hand for her to take so they could leisurely walk over to Roberto's, who was probably expecting their arrival any moment now.

((Mn... yeah. So, I probably will not be in the right mental space for a bit. To put it simply, a close friend went to the ER today and will be moved to a hospital tonight or tomorrow morning. I'm a bit frazzled to say the least, so my brain can't focus on ic rn.))

"Hey, Kenny! You got a moment?" As soon as Mizumachi's attention shifts towards her, Vivian then proceeds to extend a poorly wrapped present towards him. "I-I know in Japan, Christmas tends to be a holiday for couples, but I still got you something anyways. Just, uh... ignore the ugly outward presentation," she sheepishly states.

Of course, were he to open the present, Mizumachi would find a mug that was football-shaped. Granted, it was probably a bit cliche and too on the nose, but at the same time, she didn't want to just get him something as transient as cookies. To that end, Vivian opted to buy Mizumachi something he could actually use.

"Huh?" Mizumachi turns around and looks down to see Vivian holding out a present towards him. A lot of people had travelled back home for the season, but he didn't quite have the luxury in doing the same, so he stayed nearby. It was kind of lonely with most of his friends gone for the holiday season, so he was pleasantly surprised to see Vivian around.

"For me? Thanks!" He opens the gift to see the football-shaped mug and gasps with excitement. "It's a football! Dude, I love it!" You could never go wrong with anything sports related or sports memorabilia with him. "Thanks, Bia!"

"I don't have a gift for you though," his enthusiasm deflates for a moment. "If you're free, we can find one for you now!"

((I am now officially done with work for the year. I'm off to visit the family home for the holiday season. My sis is a New Year's baby, so I normally stick around for then and then bounce.

Ravein thinks about it and jots something down in his notebook.

He was referring to Maribelle, who had innocently talked about his family nonchalantly, which drew the attention of the higher ups within the mafia, alerting them to his family. More specifically, the woman who had run away from them.

There was a lot that she learned from him as she'd tell him stories about the kinds of things that he was missing out while living in seclusion. Heard stories about the different foods that you could enjoy that he couldn't while in seclusion.

It was fun hanging out with someone other than his parents. Playing with someone around his age... it was fun at the time.

However, because of his mistake of interacting with an outsider and her tipping off the upper echelons to the whereabouts of his family... he was captured and forced to work for the lives of his parents while unbeknownst to him, they had long since perished.

''If I decide to flick you into space, am I still obligated?'' Kamui sasses him after taking the candies from him. He didn't really think anything of accepting from the kid. Although, when it came to eating. . . he didn't often think, period.

It took less than a few seconds for him to gobble up the candy like the glutton that he was. He couldn't help his curiosity over the taste, which was good.

''Your friend, huh? I don't know anyone by the name of Haru. . . . nor am I fully familiar with this planet enough to know where to go in order for you to get proper help.'' He'll hum in thought for a few moments, ''There are people known as the police, but they seem to not be very popular. Would you like to see them anyway? Maybe you'll be lucky and your little friend decided to go there.'' Not that the Shinsengumi should be around children of any kind though.

''Hopefully, they didn't cut her up or anything.''

"Ehhh-? Can you even flick Lambo-san into space?" Lambo, don't court death by speaking nonsense. "Wow you ate those so fast! Don't your teeth hurt? Maman tells me that chewing on candy will make my teeth crack!" That was also why you shouldn't chew on ice or future you will cuss you out for having given them sensitive teeth!

Maybe adults can get away with eating candy by chewing on them? Can't wait to be an adult so he can eat all his candies that way!

"Eh? Not from this planet? You talk like your an alien." Kamui looked very much human- though his hair color was definitely different from normal people he's seen. Probably hair dye, and he chose such a fun color! "The police cut people in this world? Are the police the bad guys then? We gotta look for Haru! She's short with brown hair. She says 'hahi!' a lot, and, and... ah! She always carries lots of candies!"

That was because she carried them around for his benefit. He always wanted candies, and it was the best way to calm down a crying Lambo- give him candy.

Ravein was actually pretty sensitive to the cold, and that was why he was usually wearing clothes that covered him up in his entirety even after he quit being an assassin. His neck was the most sensitive, and so he always wore something that covered his neck, like turtlenecks, or scarves.

What happened was that a child was making a snowman, complaining about how they didn't have a scarf to complete the look. Sympathetic to the quandary of the child who felt pity for the snowman who must obviously be cold in the snow... he'd donated his scarf to the cause.

Brrrrr How cold

Perhaps by sheer coincidence, Nunnally had a scarf that she wrapped around his shoulders. He'd gingerly wrapped it around himself to bundle it around his neck for warmth. It felt like his core was warming up, and it was comforting.

When asked why he didn't have a scarf, he points to a snowman and a happy child who was now dragging his parents to see his creation. He made a snowpeople family representative of his family. Endearing, wasn't it?

His moments of cold were worth it.
