as in fiction (fanfic, fanart) i do love the ship, as in irl i do not like it and don't believe in it, if it makes sense.

i do believe nikita was bi/gay (mostly leaning for the last one lol) and that he liked artyom more than just a friend, but I don't believe artyom loved him the same way, I think he was jealous of nikitas having other friends for being narcissistic and afraid of losing someone that gave him so much attention and followed him like a dog. plus, artyom was supposedly planning on k1ll1ng nikita before he went to the military service for being afraid of nikita confessing all what they did. they would've been a disaster as a couple and a toxic mess (nikita's dependence on tyoma, artyom ignoring him for days, jealousy from both sides)

but again, I like them together in fiction. Kind of works like two actors being together on a movie/show and liking the ship but not shipping them in real life with their true identity. might some stupid or dumb but I see it like that 🤷‍♀️ I wrote about them because I find their dynamic interesting.

The photo of a younger Artyom with a guitar, where he seems to be playing in some sort of public space, is actually Artyom with a balalaika! As he himself describes in a letter to Daphne, a Russian folk instrument. We can assume he learned it in music school, which is where he's playing it in that image.

"Yes, the balalaika is a Russian folk instrument. Well… I don't promise that I'll show you how I play the balalaika =)"

I've collected, transcribed, and translated five letters that Artyom sent to Daphne in June and August of 2023. I hope it proves useful to you all. I've them in a mega.nz folder. I'll be adding more to the drive once I get around to it, but I just wanted to get this out there first, since I feel it's important. Available in Russian and English.

These are some silly questions about Nikita's filthy lifestyle.

Has Artyom ever complained about Nikita's smell? I've never seen him criticize Nikita's smell at all.

How unhygienic is Nikita? How bad does he smell? Has he ever cared about his own body odor?

On VK, Nikita was only criticized with terms like "acne-prone face," "Faggot," "ugly," etc., but there was never any mention of body odor.

If so, please send me a screenshot from VK Artyom criticizing Nikita about that. Or tell me any story about how unhygienic Nikita is, details about his clothes or anything like that.

I only know that detail about Nikita's birthday party because his mother said Artyom was jealous. I'm trying to imagine what he would have to do to show his jealousy to the point that Nikita's mother would notice.
