This live performance from Swedish band, Miike Snow, really turned me on to this group. I've never heard of them before until a friend suggested to check this out on the BigSky Music group on Facebook. It's a perfect blend of soul, rock and electronica. Enjoy!

BEAST was one of the coolest concept restaurants we visited in Portland.  2 seatings, 6 courses, all local ingredients, and classic French technique.  The menu changes every week except for the Charcuterie course which included Steak Tartare, Foie Gras Bon Bon and Chicken Liver Mousse.

The room was cozy with the tables set up communal style which accommodated about 30 diners, although a bit tight.  The last time we dined this way was at Wagamama in Manchester but this was a totally unique and unforgettable dining experience.  We met a lovely Australian who was visiting her American boyfriend.  She wasn't much interested in the food...so we ate hers.  Kidding.

Tabor Czech Street Cart in Portland.  Veal Schnitzel is probably one of my most favorite dishes.  Tabor does it right - tender and crispy nestled in a perfectly crusted Kaiser Bun.  Check it out!

This summer we had the pleasure of experiencing some of the best food Portland has to offer.  Clyde Common was one of the stops on our Pacific Northwest food tour and the breaded chicken livers and squid ink pasta did not disappoint.
