Ok I guess if you want to get really absolutely technical about it, I guess Martin Luther's 95 Theses were a zine. I guess. I suppose.

We saw Evanescence Saturday. It was incredible
apparently youre supposed to perform. they love it when you perform. but it has to be authentic. they hate it when it's not authentic. but you have to perform.
The Living and the Dead (episode one)
I've been rewatching this and it is so good.

but ykw at least i'm not on mount everest. at least i'm not paying tens of thousands of dollars to slowly suffocate in a 300-person line at the gates of hell. never in my life will i have to be steered in a hypoxic stupor through the maze of poop and corpses atop mount everest. on this earth a lot of horrible things can happen to you without your permission but there are a few that you have to opt into. you can just say no thanks! and be guaranteed never to have to be on mount everest. much to be grateful for actually
still not on mount everest this morning 😌 alhamdulillah

Good things
I am getting over a cold
I made a box cake
We went to a derby watch party and hung out with people and animals
I saw former coworkers and they were happy
I sewed a book pouch for my books.
We're in a drought and it's been raining
I've been reading "All the King's Men" for the time in 20+ years and it is soooooo good!
Good things from the week:
- we went to my parents' church last week and ate cake for my dad's birthday
- after a couple of years of meaning to, I redid the back deck. Slugs ate some seedlings but some things are growing.
- I went for a walk and saw a duckling
- spring
- I am sewing a potholder very badly, but I felted a sweater beautifully for the lining and it's going to be so well insulated!
- I went to an in-person crafting meetup today after being away for a while and it was great!
- I stood my ground for some things I care about.
- there are so many bookstores in our little town! I checked out a new one a few nights ago and it was precious.
