Half marathon complete! NEVER. AGAIN. (at Millennium Park (Grand Rapids))

Poor old Obi is sore and weary. But he still loves spring grass, afternoon sun, and consistent back scratches- so you can bet he gets them.

"How you doin', old man?" It's a day to day question right now. He doesn't like back rubs as much he used to, but a lingering scratch behind the ears is still welcome. And he still likes watching movies with me, so it's win-win.

My boy has very rhythmic ears.

When this old man is sleeping comfortably, I do, too.

No libations on the back porch just yet, but a little afternoon sun for my boy and me. (He's feeling much better lately.)

This dear old man gave me quite a scare this weekend, with what initially looked like a serious back issue. After a rough 36 hours, he's finally resting comfortably and occasionally drinking and eating again. He's my kid and I love him, and I'm glad to see him taking a little nap.
