Hii so I moved to San Diego a little over a month ago and I thought I would be fine because I have a housemate but I literally haven't seen her in a month and I am so lonely, depressed and anxious out here. Idk how to make new friends in a new city by myself and it doesn't help that my anxiety has been really bad. But how do I create a social life for myself in a new city?

When moving to a new place I would try and make friends with coworkers. Most of them are locals so they can show you cool places to go and you can meet new people through them. As far as anxiety I totally get that bc I am the same way. It’s so hard for me to make new friends. Just try to calm yourself take a few deep breathes.For me when I get anxiety I always think immediately “omg how am I going to talk to this person they are gonna think I’m so weird.” Most of the time it’s just in your head. Just remember to be yourself and don’t jump to conclusions too quick I know for me having a couple drinks always helps me loosen up a bit. I hope this helps. Good luck!
