Sensual Defect Defective woman's body is highly confusing. Dressed lingerie, lying so sexy....This defective body sems to be restore to her sexuality, she seems to be sexy again. Is this a courage of being defective? No, this body doesn't show how sexy and strong it is. This body shows how easliy defect can be turn into sexual thing. It's not a disabled women which has power over her body - it's defective, weak, submisive women's body, catch into sexualized, patriarchal sight. This isn't act of courage, it's just sensual defect. Be honest, and answer to yourself, what is more sexy: body or defect? Both? Answer can be suprisingly scary....

Forgotten, everyday body is only visible in Lichtung of defect. Consciousnes of the body is in the eye of Other beholder, but intimacy of body is behind the veil of defect.

In this feeling of "inner beauty", only defective body matters. Positive thought are deeply rooted in defective body. Positiveness of defect in its chiasmatic ambiguity is inevitable.

Beautiful Defect It's hard to grasp this moment of exact beauty. It's not a plastic surgery issue, not a question of good tase but this specific moment, when beauty imperceptibliy turns into defect. There's the rule: the more beauty you are, the more defective your body becomes. And at the end of this process, Deleuze-like "becoming-beauty", the beautiful body is so amazing, that becames unique. And this uniquess makes it defective.

The shops also need to be made aware there are disabled customers, we are actually real! My husband takes me shopping and you can not get into the disabled changing room because they use it as a stock room. Or they mark the changing room as disabled and have it all kitted out and let anyone use it and say “Oh but we have never had a disabled customer” Oh, I am sorry am I not meant to like clothes because I am disabled? We should be represented but you never see anything apart from the odd shop using disabled models. I have cried on so many shopping trips because of the looks I get, the fact I can not get into a changing room, or having to wait 15 minutes for the disabled changing room whilst a group of friends are laughing and taking selfies and walk out with 1 top between them all. I am not comfortable in my chair even though I am sitting down, I am also not someone to be looked down upon. The whole fashion industry needs a whole rethink about how they view disabled customers

Take Defect for Granted

I often read about different social campaign concern otherness. We usually think it's right to do this thing. But we perceive our social reality as something obvious, taken for granted. Looking at defective bodies, again and again, it's like undermine our common reality. It's no way to accept defect but only point it  and "admire" it, play with them. Reality is obvious because we don't discuss about it everyday. As long as defect is showing and discussing it will be existed. It should exists as natural part of reality. Acceptance is created in silence.

I didn’t expect to see [condition] here!” and “OMG, [condition] is on there!” People surprised and thrilled to see themselves represented, because they’re used to being ignored. People talking about how often people dismiss and scoff at their conditions. Representation is so, so important.

Hypocrisy of defect

Watching newest issue of Who magazine with interview with Madeline StuartI was sad. Her mother's words: "people are seeing her inner beauty" were most hypocritical I've seen last days. People with defective bodies want to show them to the world, wat to be admired by people, want to be treated as a normal person in spite of defects. but this society say "no", defects are importants, they define this kind of bodies and we, normals, will be always looking at you because of it. Even not "look at" but "stare at". we can see and we always will see this all deformations but don't worry, we will find your "inner beauty".

It's not only some kind of hypocrisy but some kind of dehumanising behavior also. We choose up only some of your identity's elements, only the acceptable ones, and built your image in our culture. We can agree that you are ugly, deformed, disfigurement only in condition that you have "inner beauty". Defective bodies are acceptable only if the soul is beautiful. There is no human being  as whole, only its parts. What interesting, in our body culture we don't accept in fact defective bodies but we choose only immaterial parts of humans. Of freaks.

Aesthetics of defect

Watching and reading a lots of stuff about disability and fashion I started wonder if defects have their own aesthetics. Since 1997 Aimee Mullins beautiful leg prosthesis for today selfies of Jill Mercado, defective bodies are changed. Lot of people talk about able-bodied's gaze and they correct of course. In this world ablebodied people will create rules of beauty. From able-pint of view other bodies will be rated. But there is a constant increase presence of defective bodies in culture. And in this ongoing modern freak show we can see a some kind of schema. put it stright, there is only some defect which can be accepted by society. Normal people don't want to see all, don't want to loook at something too scary or too disgusting. Watching Winni Harlow it's a pleasure.Maybe harder with Jill Mercado. Why? Because her defect is more drastic, it's reminds about disease, but Harlow is just a cute, sweet.I think there is a lot of defects we want to look at. Fashion industry is cynical, they know that is only a trend, it will pass with time. They want to be more human-like because of anorexia and other stuff. I don't think it will pass. but I concern that all this defective bodies which we admire today-for courage and passion-will create their own "fashion industry". Place where some kind of defects will not be acceptable, where some diseases will not be allowed to published. And the new aesthetic of defect will arise.
