~ you can find this natural swimming pool surmounted by a rock arch at this archeologic site of a Roman Villa dating back to 1st century BC. It is named for Queen Giovanna d'Angio of Naples who loved the spot and according to legends, visited the spot often "scandalously spending hours on the water with her various lovers". ~ walked 40 minutes along the main road then onto a small path to get to this ~hidden~ spot; with very narrow and crooked stairs to get down to the water, swam with fishies, bruised the sole of my feet on rocks but absolutely worth it.
