I know itâs a low chance but would you consider continuing the Matt Murdock x reader series again? I recently found it and I love it
I have considered it, but Iâm not sure if I will. I have s lot of it written, but the plot got out of hand as I wrote, and I havenât been able to get it back on a proper path.
I do want to write more Matt Murdock though, but it will probably be something short, a one-shot or something similar.Â
I just discovered your blog and finished Scratch and it's absolutely amazing! I love Steve and readers dynamic here! The epilogue is so sweet it totally makes up for the angst (I cried okay? not telling you how much but i cried :1). I wish we got to know what happens to Oliver tho, he breaks my heart :'( I want him to be happy TAT
I cried when I wrote some of the scenes too.
Oliver is doing great. Heâs currently with Coulsonâs team and is the godfather to Davisâ baby. It took him some time to move on, but heâs made his way back to the dating scene.
The article was so cute. I love how Steve and Dogder's story is o heartwarming. And how he told that people who rescue dogs are heroes. I can wait to see his reaction to it.
In another life I probably would have like to be a journalist. I was actually really into it in middle school.Â
Because of my current living situation I canât have pets, but once I can, I am going straight to the shelter and getting myself a dogo or two.Â
Well, I would go with what you just said. Just tell him you didnât study for the first tests but now you found a good way to study and that he could quiz you if he wants you to confirm it.
Fingers crossed and he doesnât say anything. Our final is Thursday anyway. I feel like if he was to say something, he would have already.
I think one of my professors might be suspicious of me cheating in class because of my test scores.
I made 50s in the first two test because I did not study whatsoever, and 90s on the last two because I changed the way I study. And Iâve gone from having a D to almost having a B.
He hasnât called me out on it yet, but I can tell he wants to say something. And honestly I donât know what I would say if he did... Maybe tell him to quiz me on the spot so he can see I know my stuff.
Summary: Y/N is an aspiring journalist, but as an unpaid intern she becomes a dog walker to make ends meet. The adventure begins when she discovers the owner of one of the dogs she has been walking is none other than Captain America himself, Steve Rogers.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9
A/N: This is the article Y/N wrote about Steve and Dodger. I will have a real part going up as soon as finals are over with as well as a few one-shots I have been wanting to write.
The Honorary Avenger
By Y/N Y/L/N
Steve Rogers is better known as the man with a plan, Captain America. After fighting in a world war, stopping an alien invasion, taking down a terrorist organization, and saving the world on many other occasions, the shield wielding hero is still no stranger to manâs best friend.
Dodger, the boxer mix, has become the Avengersâ new honorary member of the team after he was found by Captain Rogers in an alley one morning during his daily run.
âIt broke my heart when I found him in the state he was in,â Rogers said, âHe was filthy, covered in fleas, and clearly malnourished from being on the streets, but when I approached him, he didnât let any of that stop him from wagging his tail, happy.â
That same day Rogers took the puppy to a vet where he was treated for multiple conditions, usual for strays. A few flea baths later and a healthy diet of kibble, and Dodger was on his way to recovery. âBefore the war I was a very loyal Brooklyn Dodgers fan. When I decided that I was going to keep him, I thought there was no better name for a Brooklyn native.â
In an interview with David Walker Captain Rogers mentioned he did struggle with PTSD after he was found in the Atlantic seventy years after he had gone missing. âHe defiantly helps,â Rogers answered when asked if Dodger had a role in his adjustment to the twenty first century. âHe isnât a service dog, his training his very limited to the basic commands he has chosen to learn, but having him around has really grounded me. If he has been able to overcome the harshness he was exposed to on the streets, then I can find a way too.â
With a fluffy tail and a never ending playful attitude, Dodger Rogers has made his way to the hearts of every member of earthâs mightiest heroes. âEveryone loves him, and he knows it. There are no shortages of belly rubs for him.â Despite that, the pair are almost inseparable when the Avenger is not busy avenging. âHe has completely ignored the multiple dog beds I have for him, and has taken over a large part of my bed. When I am at my desk you will always find him under it by my feet.â
Dodgerâs story is one of hope and second chances. With prestigious dog shows parading only pure breeds, when it comes to adoption, pets in shelters get overlooked, and unfortunately not all of them end up in no-kill shelters. âI do think people should consider adopting a rescue animal,â Rogers says. âThere are a lot of great dogs in shelters waiting for the right person to take them home. You donât have to be an Avenger to be hero too.â
Summary: The last two years havenât been a walk in the park for Y/N or for everyone else after Steve broke them out of the raft. Being on the run meant having to keep a low profile, unfortunately that means crappy hotels and broken showers.Â
A/N: This doesât really include any spoilers for Infinity War. It basically takes place right before what happens in the movie. I got the idea for it from a line in the movie were Sam says something along the lines of âthey weren't all five star hotelsâ when Rhodey comments of how they look. I could make this into a two part, but I am still not emotionally ready to write about what happened in the move. Â
Warning: NSFW
I missed my bed. It had been almost two years since the accords were signed and almost two years since I left my warm, comfortable, therapeutic bed behind at the compound.
The dingy hotel we were staying at tonight smelled of cheap perfume and cigars. At this point it didnât faze me. Iâd lost count of how many other hotels we had stayed at that were just like this one.
The mattress squeaked and groaned beneath me as I sat at the edge of it and pulled my boots off. Iâd set my duffle bag beside me and I reached for it to pull out a clean change of clothes and a few toiletries.
Itâd been a long day, and I needed a long hot shower. We werenât Avengers anymore. We left that title behind the day Steve broke us out from the raft. But the life we had was a hard life to leave behind. There was always someone needing help, and weâd be damned if we let a stupid law stop us from helping.
The mission had started off simple enough. An organization of cyber hackers we had been tracking the last month was close to getting nuclear launch codes, and they had finally slipped up enough for us to get a location on them. We hadnât been expecting fire power when we arrived, but we were always prepared.
Despite that, it didnât mean we all came out unharmed. Nothing serious enough to be concerned with. Just a few scratches and bruises.
I grabbed my bundle of clothes and made my way to the small cramped bathroom. After setting everything down on the counter I reached to turn on the shower, but nothing came out of the shower head.
I opened and closed the water a few times, but was met with the same result.
I cursed as I grabbed my things and stormed out of the room and into the hall. Sam had stayed behind on the jet, Wanda was off on one of her adventures with Vision, so that only left Nat and Steve.
The room directly across from me was Natâs. I knocked on the wooden door twice and waited. When there was no answer I knocked again. Still no answer. Pressing my ear close to the door I heard the familiar sound of running water.
I sighed and stepped in front of the closed door next to hers. Steveâs room.
I knocked twice and waited, again.
This time I didnât have to knock again. Steve pulled the door open to look down at me. His hair was damp and fell across his face, hiding the brow I knew was raised in question. His beard still something I had yet gotten use to.
âMy shower doesnât work,â I told him with a shrug. âAnd Natâs using hers.â
âThere should still be some hot water,â Steve told me as he stepped to the side to let me in.
âThanks,â I tell him as I walk into the room almost identical as the one I was in. Still cheap perfume and cigars, but the perfume was subtler.
There was still steam on the mirror from Steveâs shower as I turned on the water. I almost moaned out loud when I was finally under the hot spray of the poorly pressured water. Iâd wanted this to last. To let the warmth relax my tense muscles and wash away the day, but the longer I was in here, the colder the water would get.
I washed my hair quickly and my body even quicker, making sure to not irritate the small gash I had on my forearm or the bruise just below my ribs.
Though it was a quick shower, it had helped. I stepped out of the shower and dried myself off before changing into the large shirt I had taken from Steve almost a year ago, and the sweatpants I used to sleep in.
When I stepped out of the bathroom Steve was sitting on the edge of his bed looking over a tablet. Looking for our next mission already.
âFind anything,â I ask him. He looked up from the tablet at me.
âA few,â he answered, then set the tablet down on the bedside table.
âThanks for letting me use your shower,â I tell him.
âNo problem,â Steve said with a small smile.
âIâll see you in the morning,â I say as I make my way out the room.
âGoodnight Y/N,â Steve tells me.
âGoodnight Steve,â I say back as I closed the door to his room behind me.
A few seconds later I am once again knocking on Steveâs door.
When he opens it he looks at me confused.
âIâm locked out of my room,â I frown.
To my surprise, Steve lets out a deep chuckle.
âOh, shut up,â I snap at him, pushing past and back into his room and drop my things on the floor before flinging myself onto the bed. I regretted it all most instantly as one of the springs pushed right on one of my bruises.
Steve didnât say anything as he took the empty spot on the bed next to me. It wasnât the first time we would have to share a bed since we were on the run. Sometimes the hotels we would stay at didnât have enough rooms for all of us to stay alone, and I learned early on that Nat liked to hog the entire bed, and Sam was a loud snorer. Had Wanda been here it would have been her door Iâd knocked on.
We laid next to each other for a while, neither of us saying a word.
âIâm sorry,â Steve says after some time.
âWhat for,â I ask turning to my side to look at him.
âFor this,â he looks around the room, then at me. âFor making you live this life, hiding.â
âSteve, I chose this. Remember?â
He still looked at me apologetic.
âI chose not to sign the accords,â I remind him. âI chose to fight on your side at the airport, and when you came for us on the raft, I followed. I might miss my bed, I might miss being considered a hero, but I have absolutely no regrets, no second thoughts. I will always choose being here, over being someone I am not. I will always follow you.â
âBut your family,â Steve began to argue.
âKnow where I am,â I cut him off. âNat has helped me with secure lines and encrypted messages so I can talk to them. My mom says âhiâ by the way.â
Steve smiles at this. âAnd your dad?â
âStill a little mad that we are being called fugitives despite everything we have done since you broke us out, but he says âhiâ too.â
âWhy didnât you cut a deal,â Steve asks me. âScott did it, and so did Barton. You could have negotiated something.â
âYou still donât get it, do you?â
Steve frowned.
âSteve,â I sigh, âScott and Clint cut deals to be with their families. But this is where I belong. This team is my family. You are my family.â
Steve looked at me with an expression I rarely ever saw on him these last two years. Sometimes he had a similar expression when he visited Wakanda. It was more than happiness I saw in his eyes, in his smile.
âYou are my family too,â Steve tells me. He brings a warm callused hand up to push back a strand of hair from my face. âAm I selfish for being glad you didnât cut a deal. That you are still here.â
âNo,â I shake my head. âBecause then it would mean I am selfish too. That I chose you over my own parents.â
Steveâs thumb gently stroked my cheek.
âWe can be selfish together,â he tells me. Then slowly leaned down until his warm lips pressed against my forehead.
Before Steve could pull back all the way I tilted my head and presses my lips to his.
I couldnât remember ever wanting to kiss Steve. I never thought of him romantically before. Never wondered if he had feelings for me, because I thought I didnât have any for him. But tonight, I learned differently.
The kiss was slow. Cautious. Neither one of us fully aware of what it meant to the other, but it was still nice.
Steveâs beard scratched my cheek as he moved his lips against mine. Then his lips were gone. I opened my eyes to look at Steve studying me. Waiting for a reaction from me that told him I regretted what had just happened. But when he didnât find it his lips were back on mine and he was rolling us until he was hovering over me, his body pressed against mine just enough to where I felt him without having his full weight on me.
My fingers knotted in his hair and I parted my lips, letting his tongue slip into my mouth. One of Steveâs hands pressed against the mattress by my head, supporting his weight, and the other settled on my waist, keeping me close to him. Not that I want to be anywhere else at the moment.
There was so much restraint from both of us. Both scared of what would change between us if this went on any further. But I wanted to go as far as he was willing to go. It wasnât physical. I knew that now. This wasnât driven by lust.
I gasped into the kiss when Steveâs hand moved up my waist and under the shirt I wore. His thumb grazed just below by bare breast. Steve hummed in appreciation in learning I slept without a bra.
His lips left mine, but never left my body. His beard scratched against my jaw and down my neck as Steve trailed his lips across my body.
When Steve finally did pull away, he looked down at me breathing hard.
âIs this okay,â Steve finally asked taking the hem of my shirt in his hands.
I nodded. âYes.â
I lifted my hands above my head as Steve slipped the shirt off me.
Steve took a second to look down at me, exposed to him, before his warm lips latched onto my breast and sucked it into his mouth. My back curved off the mattress as his tongue flicked against my nipple.
âSteve,â I moaned his name, throwing my head back on the pillows.
I needed more. I needed him. My fingers curled around his shirt and I yanked it up, his lips where back on my body the second the clothing was removed.
We were both naked from the waist up, but as Steve grew harder against me, I knew it would be soon before we were both completely rid of our clothes.
To prove my theory, Steve hooked his fingers inside the waistband of both my sweatpants and underwear and pulled them toward my ankles at the same time.
My chest rose and fell quickly as Steve let his eyes trail over my naked body and he stood. I watched him as he pushed his own sleep bottoms down and let out a whimper at the sight of his impressive length.
âAre you sure about this,â Steve asked, giving me all the power to end this right now. To stop us from changing the relationship we had created over the years.
âYes,â I breathed. âI am.â
Slowly Steve kneeled at the foot of the bed and placed a kiss on both of my ankles. Then a little higher. And he took his time kissing his way up to my inner thighs. The hair of his beard tickled me as he nipped at the soft flesh. But I didnât laugh, instead a low deep moan escaped my lips the further up he went.
I looked down to see his eyes on me. Then without a warning Steve closed his eyes and licked me. He growled in approval at my moans as he swept his tongue across me and tasted me fully.
My hand instinctively shot out and tangled itself in his hair when he found the spot that drove me wild. A large hand splayed out on my stomach and kept me in place as he stroked me with his tongue. And the other pressed against one of my thighs, keeping me open to him.
I came down hard, and loud, and I didnât give a damn who heard me. Neither did Steve as he continued to work me through my climax, replacing his tongue with his fingers inside me and pumping as his lips latched onto my sensitive nub.
When I came again I was trembling from the sensation and my body was hot and sticky from a light coat of sweat.
Steveâs mouth found mine and he kissed me hard, letting me taste myself on his tongue and slowly he pulled his fingers out of me.
I whimpered at the loss of him, but that feeling of emptiness didnât last long. Steve pressed himself gently at my entrance and paused, breaking the kiss and looking down at me.
âI told you I wanted this,â I remind him, thinking his hesitation was to ask me again if what he was about to do was fine.
âI know,â Steve said with a grin. âI just wanted to see you. To watch you.â
âTo watch what,â I asked.
He didnât answer. Instead he pushed his hips forward and slowly slid into to me.
âFuck,â I moaned out. I could hardly breath with every inch he pushed in.
âThat,â Steve groaned. âI wanted to see that.â
His eyes bore into mine, keeping our eyes locked as he stopped, already fully inside of me. Filling me in ways I had never experienced.
Steve pulled out slightly then thrusted back in slowly. So, so slowly. He did it again, this time pulling out a bit more, but still with the same toe curling pace. And again. And again. Until he pulled out, almost completely out of me, and with a snap of his powerful hips he thrusts in deeper.
The mattress beneath us groaned in protest as the headboard hit the wall behind it.
I couldnât look at him any longer. My eyes closed as he pushed into me faster and deeper every time.
âSteve,â I cried out feeling my next climax quickly approaching. I couldnât form words beyond that, but he knew. He felt me clench around him the faster and deeper his thrusts were.
When my release tore through my body Steve pace never faltered as he brought his lips down to mine, swallowing my moans. I trembled and shook beneath him from the intensity of my climax.
Then with a loud groan Steve slammed into me one last time as he came inside me. Both of our eyes closed as we breathed in deeply.
I tried to hide my wince as Steve pulled out of me and laid back down on the bed beside me.
After our breathing had returned to normal Steve turned to me. âAre we going to talk about it?â
I sighed and tuned to my side, facing him. âI know we should,â I tell him. âBut I donât know what to say.â
âItâs okay,â Steve says with a warm smile. âI donât either.â He reached for me, wrapped an arm around my waist and presses my body to his. âLetâs just enjoy this while we can.â
I tilted my head back and press my lips to his softly. âGoodnight Steve,â I whisper against his lips.
âGoodnight Y/N.â
As sleep begins to consume me a harsh knock at Steveâs door wakes us up.
âGet dresses you two,â Nat said from the other side of the closed door. âSam just called. There seems to be something going on in New York.â
I look over at Steve, and without needing to say anything we both put our clothes on quickly and open the door to Nat.
âWhat did Sam say,â I ask.
âThat a giant space donut broke our atmosphere and is currently over the city.â
âAliens? Again?â
âHas Wanda checked in,â Steve asked.
âNo,â Nat shook her head.
âCall her, and if she doesnât answer track her down,â Steve orders. âWe are going to need everyone.â
âOn it,â she nods then turns around to leave. But before she is out the door she pauses at turns to us. âOh, and next time you decide to do this,â she points between Steve and me, âplease do it in a room that isnât next to mine. These walls are thin and I do enjoy my sleep.â
A heated blush spreads across my cheeks and I look away from her and stare at my feet.
âGet Wanda,â Steve says sternly. âAnd have Sam know to have the jet ready to go.â
I look up in time to see Nat give me a suggestive smirk then walk out the door, closing it behind her.
Just wondering, but has Marvel clarified the timeline yet? Because in Spider-Man Homecoming it said it was 8 years after Avengers but in Infinity War Tony said it had been 6.
So which is it Marvel?
Has it been 6 years or 10 years since the battle of New York?
Part 9 was so cute. I love how everyone tried to make a cake and ruined the kichen. Also Steve being concerned for the reader was so sweet. And i laughed when she said she almost lost an eye for the article.
Like being a superhero, being a journalist also comes with risks and near death experiences.Â
