The Growing

Everyday is like a new eye opener for me. I've been through so much in the past year let alone the past two/three years that my attitude towards many things have changed. Everyday it's something different, whether it's your friends,family, or outsiders. I am no longer at a point of trying to rekindle things with folks. In the event that it doesn't work, it must be me at to be That way, I must've outgrown you or us. I'm tired of having interventions with folks, I'm not fixing a damn thing anymore. I'm quick to delete phone numbers, so if I hit you with the "who dis?" Please take it personal*. I'm at a point where quiet spaces ease my mind and unnecessary amounts of foolish energies in my space are not welcome.

Do I really need you?

They say everyone needs someone, but sometimes I feel like I'm better off by myself. I don't necessarily feel like I need anyone.. The things that the people surrounding me do for me, I can do for myself if not better. I can listen To my own thoughts, comfort myself in times of need, and guide myself through situations. I'm laughing as I write this, because people are so quick to tell you what you need to do but don't have their lives together.. Do I need you? No. People are so quick to bash your ideas.. Do I need you? No.

I’m not sad. I’m not angry. I’m not upset. I’m nostalgic. I’m astonished. Astonished by how much has changed in the past year. How much has changed. How the little things stop. How they aren’t as important after a while…but they will always be important to me. They always mean something to me. It just kind of makes me sad how you can literally see somebody putting less effort into having you. Once they have you,it isn’t the same. They don’t fight as hard anymore to have you because they’re so sure you won’t just leave. And frankly they’re right. They think the job is done, they’ve already won. But have they…..have they really. Have I?

This blog has been created because I got tired of seeing rampant ableism in many spaces meant for woc and racism in spaces meant for neurodivergent people. As we belong to more than one marginalised community, nd woc deserve a safe space for ourselves away from both ableism and racism. This will be a place for that, and for us to talk about our experiences as neurodivergent women of colour and build a community for ourselves.

Who Killed Who Again.

The past few days have been a handful. Between all of the shooting at home in Baltimore and the police brutality, oh and let’s not forget the shooting of the police in Dallas, its been crazy. BUT, what strikes me is that all of a sudden since the police shooting in Dallas has occurred, everyone is now concentrated on that, but mind you 2 black men we murder by officers but it seems now the media wants us to “forget” about that and to concentrate on this shooting. I hear people saying “All police aren’t bad so why kill the innocent ones”. But wouldn’t that be the same case for the blacks who were murdered? Oh wait, its because they’re officers and were just harmful black folks eh? Funny enough, these same people who are saying this are black folks, but when it came down to the shootings and killing of their people they had nothing to say. Those people were innocent just like the officers and had their lives taken but no one wants to acknowledge that. We’re going to pretend like that wasn’t the case? What’s the difference between those cops and the folks who were just killed? Now everyone wants to post photos and videos of good cops yet, no one has posted photos of Black Excellence for every fallen African American. I’m in awe at the foolishness, the blindness, the mental chains that our people have..

Truth Is

The amount of courage, strength, and power that black people have scares the opposing team. There are everyday battles that we face with society, other races, our families, and within ourselves and yet through those trials and tribulations we STILL succeed and flourish into beautiful beings. This scares the opposing team simply because we have what they thought we could never obtain.
