It’s only on nights like this he can receive even some semblance of company. Junichi stretches his hand out towards his successor, the thoughts swirling around them, buffeting him like a strong wind. He nods. 

His lips move, though his words sound no louder than a whisper. It would be all too easy for them to be drowned in the desperate storm of Gosei’s thoughts. “You wield the power that was forced onto me. It was not given to you- you earned it.”

     A friendly smile manifests itself on his gaunt face, and he nods. There’s something reassuring about him in spite of the concerning pallor of his skin and the deep, dark bags under his eyes. Perhaps it’s the softness of his gaze or the brilliant blue of his irises, full of spirit in spite of all he’s experience.

“I am. And you’re the seventh.”

Her experience with One for All is like a memory to him, the journey she had to gain mastery over it, her desperate struggle against the rising waves of villains, her mentorship of the eighth, her final stand against his brother...

     Pain flashes across his expression as he considers that, tinging his smile with regret. “I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done with this Quirk. I would have introduced myself sooner, but... well, not every vessel can dream that vividly.”

Headcanon

All for One describes his brother as sickly, a very nonspecific descriptor. It is accurate, though. As a very young child, Junichi was prone to illness, and he spent his childhood being rushed in and out of hospitals. Eventually he was diagnosed with a disorder called Common Variable Immune Deficiency, an illness that is characterized by a lack of various antibodies and immunoglobulins.

The long term sprain on his body caused permanent damage to his lungs, further damaging their function aside from the bouts of sickness he so often suffers from.

When All for One began his rise to power, he kept his brother almost completely isolated in a bunker in his base. He was never allowed outside, and while food was provided, he refused to eat except in the most dire situations. This led to severe malnutrition and a major vitamin D deficiency, among a lot of other vitamin deficiencies.
