Sianvar, a new post-hardcore band made up of Will Swan, Donovan Melero, Joseph Arrington, Sergio Medina, and Michael Littlefield, is one of my favorite new bands. Imagine a slightly less mature Anthony Green reminiscent of Audience of One, ridiculously good lyrics, mix in some absolutely amazing guitar playing, badass drums, and you get Sianvar. Their 5 song self titled EP has been in my ears since they released it on January 5th, and it's going to be staying there for a while. After hearing their first track, Chest Pressure, pre-January 5th, I knew I had to preorder it from their Bandcamp site.

On Letting Go, while getting a ton of flak for drastically switching from the style of Juturna, is one of my favorite albums to date by Circa Survive. This was my highschool and early college mantra. I can't wait for their next album to come out.

Audience of One is Anthony Green in his purest, angstiest, and absolutely most wonderful form. I'm hoping that he gets back to really exercising his pipes. The screams are genuine, sincere, and above all absolutely emotional- not some forced attempt at being edgy. I can't stop listening.
