Asher really should have known better than to think taking a trip off-ship by himself would turn out well. He didn't have near as much experience traversing the cosmos as everyone else, so of course his transport for planetside trips ended up malfunctioning. He'd damn near crashed the thing, but at least he'd landed somewhere unpopulated. Though hopefully the unpopulated point didn't turn out to be true for the entirety of the planet, otherwise he'd be in really hot water.

Maybe if he was lucky, Brian would have a vision about this and notify the others so they could find him, but for now Asher had to contend with the very real possibility of being stranded wherever this was for the next few months, or years if no one noticed him missing- though that, in itself, was rather unlikely. At least the not noticing part...

With a sigh, Asher sets to work prying off one of the outer panels of the transport's hull. He was not an engineer by any stretch of the word, but Nastya had imparted enough basic knowledge into everyone that they could fix at least basic problems, so long as they didn't require replacement parts.

He's so focused on his task of digging through wiring and components that even with his unusually keen hearing, he doesn't notice that anyone's gotten close enough to see the grounded vessel and himself.

The former battlemage had never seen such a craft in all of the years of her existence.

Still wearing a cloak and obscuring herself as much as she could, she made her approach. After all, she didn't want to give the wrong impression to the person tending to it.

"Hello? Are you okay there, and is there anything I can do to help?"

A harmless enough question to ask, although it could have been worse. Asher could have been found by the local authorities, and Pari knew that they were.. difficult to deal with.

Luckily, they were as far enough out of sight. Sort of.

To his credit, Asher doesn't yelp when he's startled, but his hand still twitches where it's wrist-deep in the panel and it's a wonder on its own that he doesn't shock himself on something.

He has no way to guess what sort of technology this planet has, so it takes him a moment to think of how to answer.

"I'm well, physically. But also stranded for the foreseeable future. And lost. I.... Have no idea where I am." He sighs, closing the panel and wiping his hands off on his pants. "The name's Asher. As far as help... I'm afraid I have no way to pay for any assistance, even if I could think of anything."

So the duplex my husband and i have been living in for the last couple years just had a 24 hr eviction notice posted on our door, and we have to be out by 2 pm tomorrow.

we might have a place to stay but we’re still waiting to hear back from my husband’s coworker but it’s looking like we may have to stay in a hotel until we can find more permanent arrangements but that means i have to ask for help again because we’ll only have enough to stay in the cheapest place until wednesday, and that still leaves a whole week until my husband’s next paycheck. we have a dog and three cats to take care of, wherever we do eventually end up we’ll only have the bare minimum of essentials because we can’t take what little furniture we have so we’ll be starting over with basically a tv and whatever else we can fit inside of trash bags to carry.

i can’t really offer much in return for anything anyone can do to help, except for maybe writing, though that will be slow because the spacebar on my laptop doesn’t work any more and i have to copy and paste spaces when im writing which can get kind of tedious after a while.

anyway, if anyone can send anything to help us out so we don’t end up completely homeless with four animals that’d super swell

we still don't have anywhere to go to yet but we only have this hotel room until thursday so if anyone can help out to get us a few more days or even a full week, that'd be great.

we do have a friend with an apartment they moved out of but still have a lease on, but it's $1,000 to get the lease signed over to another person and while we could get that amount in just a couple paychecks, we still need somewhere to stay in the meantime.

thankfully we're good on food for another few days because someone got us a bunch of microwavable ramen, but we'll need food for the animals soon so there's also that
