Entry 7, Plateau

I wrote this entry… way later than I should have. A week later, in fact. We’ve got plenty of iron from the golems. Hope the villagers aren’t too mad. Not much to say other than that.

Entry 6, Rice

Today was.. pretty uneventful. Just did some farmwork, fixed some fences, started trading with villagers. Don’t understand their language, but they seemed pretty nice.

We have way too many crops. My pack’s stuffed with potatoes, and we’re full of carrots. Would like to find some pigs, but the slimes eat everything faster than we can find it.

Ah, gonna go sleep now. I’ve got a ton of plans and not enough wood to do em.

Some places in Flattree

Today was the most peaceful we’ve had in a while. Packed my things and left the village, but it was nighttime and I was hounded by mobs on my way back. Thank goodness I had food, or I would’ve been a goner to that skeleton.

The farm was doing better than ever, and we had a massive harvest. Plenty of food for us and the animals. The chickens enjoyed all the excess seeds, and our cows have been producing plenty o’ meat.

We expanded some more to keep the pesky slimes out of out trees so we could plant more, and I even fixed up the house. It looks awesome now, even if it’s just made of dried mud. We’ve even got a sunroom.

Anyways, we’ve gotten in a hard day’s work. Think i’ll take a very long nap now.

Entry 6, Rice

Flattree: Hibernation

Hibernation is the state that players go into once they log off. Time freezes completely when all players are in hibernation. odd things might happen after a hibernation, but they are rare.

Visited the local village to see what was goin on. Apparently there’s a leatherworker (we can finally sell something) and a fletcher now. I was so tired fighting slimes last night, that i went to bed at the village. Had a nightmare where the sun looked weird and the villagers were blue, but whatever happened, the sun stopped flickering. Or maybe I just stopped seein’ hallucinations.

Farm’s doing well, maybe too well. Can’t keep track of all the crops.

Anyways, I think i’ll hibernate here. I’ve had enough of today.

Entry 4, Rice

I’m seeing something strange in the sky. The sun flickers like a candle, so fast it’s a blur. Am i going insane? is this an omen?

Either way, the farm’s going well, and we’re doing decent. I built a wall some days back, keeping the slimes out. Couldn’t handle em trampling our crops and ambushing us all of a sudden.

Can’t shake the feeling that something’s wrong, though. Maybe i am insane, with little company save for Plateau and the chickens and cows. Eh, whatever. Not very good at closings.

Entry 3, Rice

Another day in the Expanse. Which i could list which day, but I’ve lost count, We’ve learned farming, gotten a decent water source. We’ve found some animals and started what could be considered a farm. Didn’t have any fences so I just stuck em in pits in the ground. They got grass, they’ll be fine. We found the chickens a few days back, the cows are even newer, and much more exciting. Life’s boring, but we’re okay on food. It’s surviving. But not thriving. Yet.

In the meantime, I made a small pond using our infinite water source (works just like normal worlds.) and made a small pond. Tried fishing in it, out of curiosity. I actually got some bites! Caught 3 salmon and 5 cod. Where’d they even come from? Cod are saltwater fish, and I never saw any salmon. We’re running out of bones, so unfortunately our crops have to grow slowly now. We did build a fence to keep the mobs and slimes out! We don’t gotta keep chasing them out.

Anyway, that concludes these few days. I’ve got to hibernate now.

Entry 2, Flattree SMP

Plateau Entry 2

“The Expanse. A deadly place with almost no trees, where the sun constantly beats down on you, where food is scarce and must be fought for. Where the water has dried up and the grass remains short, where monsters are numerous both in sun and shadow. If any end up here, death is imminent.

A bit of story for @ghostwithaglock and my survival challenge SMP, Flat tree survival, where we begin only with one stone sword each, a lava bucket, a water bucket, and one sapling. I made a bit of lore/story for it!

The Expanse is the name given to this flat world. It is currently unknown what brings players here. Monsters and animals spawn naturally, but not the players. So why are we here?

“The villages are scarce and hard to find, but they seem to be doing well. They have water sources, likely collected from rain.

There has been evidence that once there used to be forests, based on the wood the villages had. Odd. So then what caused the lack of well, any trees? Our guess is the slimes. The slimes may have eaten all the trees. It doesn’t seem likely, as they seem not to have an interest in the trees of our forest, but then how did they get so numerous?
