But why does this all matter for Maldine, you may ask? She was caught in the middle of a planned abduction by a retired elven soldier of the Dark war, in hopes of getting information about the rumored engagement, in which the assassination of the shadow prince will take place. Maldine, however, was not one of the right-hand servants of the Demon royalty, though she'd have to pretend, as it may cost her, her life.
Gria is a retired elven soldier present within the skylands, baring a resentment left unhealed after the dark war between elven kind and the shadow world, he has now graced the ground again to take the life of the one who laid his comrades to rest, after being apart from the surface for a long while, he had grown unfamiliar with the customs of the new world. That was then he took hostage a Poor Emon servant of the princess, that will not only familarize him with the new world but will possibily grant him the ability to take out the Prince of shadows.
