"No, you're not in trouble. I will consider this a warning." He crossed his arms. "You can be in the main wing, the children's quarters, the library, and the courtyard. Not in the meeting rooms, the armory, or anyone else's quarters. Do you understand?"

Luna looked up with wide eyes when the king exited, her heart pounding. She was in trouble now. Just like the man from before.

Tiberius narrowed his eyes at her. "Why were you spying on my meeting?" She was just a child, but the recently crowned ruler was not inclined to trust easily right now.

Tiberius, with inhuman speed, slipped past the man and wrenched his head to the side, holding him by the neck as the body went limp. He waited for the other to make a move, before deciding if he would have a reformed follower or dinner.

“ You’re a… monster, ” The other man gasped, taking a few steps back. Nervously he reached for his sword, although far more clumsily.

“Says the rabbit to the wolf.” He dropped his kill to the side.

“Because I am generous, I will give you one last chance. Pledge your loyalty to me,” he commanded.

“ F-fine! ” He gasped out, glancing at the body of his former friend. Outside, the door, Luna listened, a hand over her mouth to muffle her frightened breathing.

The king glanced to the door, noticing a quickened pulse outside. "Take this traitor to the coroner for burial and return his equipment to the armory," he instructed, stepping out of the room and looking down at Luna.

Another shiver. Who was Luna loyal to? It was hard to determine sometimes. It seemed she was shoved from one place to another, not always welcome. It was something she was going to have to consider for her own safety.

“ My loyalty is to my land and to my people, “ One of Blake’s former “friends” hissed, “ And you are going to damn them all. “

Tiberius was arguing with the vestiges of Blake’s authority in the palace when he noticed the girl wander in. Giving her a couple glances, he shooed her away before continuing with his conversation.

A pause as Luna came face to face - of a sort - with the new king. A shiver of cold went down her spine and she quickly took a step back. Still, Luna paused when she was out of sight, curious about what was being said. There were, after all, many rumors about Tiberius.
