It's interesting how a person can make a significant sacrifice for someone, but when they don't show up in the exact way expected, suddenly none of the other support seems to count

One thing I know about a bad bitch is that they always bounce back tenfold
You can bet on it
Now that I’m older and comprehend music better. The love that I have for Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and so many talented musicians. Going through their entire discography almost every day, it inspires me as a creative. That being said, I wish we got more content of Michael and even Beyoncé breaking down the engineering of their songs/albums. Especially Michael, relooking back at interviews I’ve mindlessly seen as a kid, now watching it with a different lens.
There is a interview where Michael is kind of breaking down how he made a song (I can’t remember which one, I think it’s from the Invincible or Bad album). Studying how he speaks with such enthusiasm, the love he pours into his work shows every single time.
The same goes with Beyoncé, many of us say she’s one of Michael’s students, she truly is. What I don’t like is when things get lost in translation and people tend to think that means Beyoncé needs to be like Michael. When that’s the very opposite, she’s studied music, just as Michael and Janet studied music.
I could go on a lengthy discussion on why I love Michael, Janet, Jackson 5/The Jacksons. I think for me, it’s just growing up with their music and all this other stuff, it’s integral with black culture, and in a way, that’s inexplicable in itself. But the feeling is powerful and transcends time. I know that much because of the memories my mom has told me she has of Michael, Jackson 5/The Jacksons music. The same excitement older generations have for them, is the same excitement many of us are feeling even up to now.
i wish i could have conversations with michael and his thought process on his many mini films, cause even as a kid they were so captivating.
