if ive learned anything from rivers, its that time will carry you. you;ll transform if you resist and youll transform if you dont. life is a sweeping river. even rocks are eaten away by the current. the other morning i was sitting on the porch. the rain was falling and i was smelling an orange blossom. i thought, what a miracle it was this was here all along, only i was finally noticing. begin to see rain as a blessing, as a kiss. then the storm will change!!

sometimes i wonder what's going on and i like to browse through things here on a blue moon. speaking of moons the full moon will be this weekend and i hope my boyfriend and i sit underneath it and talk like we did last time. but actually ive been very busy these days. the type of busy where my mind is a river made up of many different currents. So that every once in a while I'll be struck with the thought of being at sea for many weeks where all you see is blue and I wonder what the birds are like out there. Or I'll be struck with the urge to go to the nearest field and look out for some time, to watch the stillness that you realize is not actually that still if you look long enough. I am the type of busy where i am always working on something and when the work is easy ill let my mind wander to my Dream that i like to ruminate on every day. Recently my Dream has been like a stone or a coin that i keep in my back pocket to fiddle with or turn over. You know, like feel the grooves and the smooth parts with my fingers. That's what a Dream is and i hope you all have one too.
