A few snaps from our day at the Barras Wedding Fair yesterday. We had a great time - thank you to all the organisers and everyone that came along.
Special thanks to Lesley from Pamper and Polish and her fantastic model Ann - was fascinating to watch you at work creating beautiful hairstyles. Our flowers were in excellent hands.
Today we are travelling back to July to revisit Ruth and Andy’s brilliant wedding in the grounds of Kilbryde Castle, near Dunblane.
We created a summery colour palette, with creams, plums, purples, blues, yellows and pink shades. With flowers from our garden, the castle’s gardens, the father of the bride’s garden, Flowers of Clowance and Sussex Roses, there were so many flowers to work with. Roses, delphiniums, dahlias, lavenders, snapdragons to name a few.
Our temporary barn studio was the perfect base to explore the gardens and surroundings - a forager’s paradise! Thanks to the Campbell family for being so friendly and accommodating.
Huge congratulations to Ruth and Andy - it was such a fun, colourful weekend.

A return to the tumblr blog. It has been a while!
We have had a busy and eventful summer - watch this space for some updates on our flowery adventures from the past few months.
It’s good to have a little green in the greenhouse. We have some winter lettuces on the go and sweetpeas sown in late autumn.
Also a stalwart rudbekia still surviving in the front beds.
Of late: Autumn
This Sunday we spread a little homegrown flower love with a couple of abandoned lonely bouquets. Each little jar was filled with sweetpeas, rudbekias, feverfew, rosemary, sage, ammi, dahlia, cosmos, scabious and quaking grass. Let’s hope they found happy homes.

Bringing in the flowers from the cold.
More reminiscent flowers :
These are from Frances and Al’s wedding in September 2011. A wedding and a big red bus full of love.
Lynsey and Scott's May wedding in Birmingham. We had a fun and herb filled few days in the city and at Tuckshop flowers.
Harvest time in the garden.
This week's flowers. Squeaky Scilla, Solomon's seal, apple blossom and tulips.
Flowers from the weekend delivered far and wide.
Spring spring and more spring.
Spent the working week in Manchester this week. The hotel was a beautiful Victorian building - was a blessing to have decent surroundings as I saw nothing of the city apart from the hotel and a nearby car park.
