Sweet Explosion: Chapter 2
A/N: Alrighty real quick I just wanted to apologize about how long this took. I was having some serious writerâs block, which moves on to my next point! I want to shout-out @im-gettin-better for the IMMENSE amount of help with this chapter. They are also an amazing writer of their own short stories. Please go give them a looksies. Anyway, enjoy!
âDo you need some help, um Hakai, right?â His voice was soft but sudden, my reflexes got ahead of me. My body swung around, my stance widening, feeling the green glow of my right eye dully buzzing in my temple, I focused on the smaller boy in front of me. The look of shock, confusion, slightly tensed on his green irises, his matching hair blowing in the breeze.
âHey, whatâs going on here?â Another voice boomed from a few feet away, bringing me back to them. Taking a few breaths, I looked up to the fast moving blue-haired boy, Seat Four. His large stature was somehow lean and stocky at the same time, he stood unbearably close and I couldnât help to notice the light glower behind his frames when he stared down at me but his glare lightened when he turned to Midoriya.
âIs everything alright, Midoriya?â His voice was more gentle, still loud, but less in a way.
âY-yes, I, I-um.â The green haired boy, Midoriya, turned to back me, and bowed his head low. âIâm sorry for scaring you. I shouldnât have snuck up on you like that. Are you okay?â
I could feel the buzzing going away, only to be replaced with heat. âUh, yeah, dude, itâs fine. Iâm sorry for going off on you like that. I didnât-.â The rest of my sentence trailed away and I lowered my head to meet his.
âGood, now Itâs time to head back to the dorms.â The blue-haired boy, Iida, spoke. I took a final look at my map, and back at my new peers with a confused look. We all shared a laugh, and then walked to the dorms.
The building was large with five floors separated into two sections. The building read â1-AÂ Alliance", and was fenced by low hedges that lead a brick path to its entrance. The entrance consisted of two large sets of double wooden doors. Alongside the pathway were two park benches and lamp posts. The main level exterior was colored white while the upper levels brown.
The inside was even more beautiful than the outside. The entrance was laced with lush green carpet that transitioned to a beautiful light wooden hardfloor. Large luxurious crystal clear windows, edged with dark wood. The walls were painted with a similar green as the carpet, and outlined in white paint.
Near the front, there was a large Tv, surrounded by soft tea green couches and chairs, with a wooden console centerpiece. Past the living area was the dining area, where six wooden tables filled with four chairs occupied its space. Behind that the kitchen, light wooden cabinets, with a light gray soapstone countertop. A double sink made with stainless steel was at the center of the kitchen, with a matching electric oven on the right and a large fridge on the left.
âHey, itâs Hakai!â I turned towards the âcommon areaâ, thatâs what Iida called the corner where the couches were, there were five other students getting up from their seats, and one boy who just stayed seated.
The one who spoke was seat Eight, a built red head boy, his hair sticking straight up, not in a bad, undone, way, but in a stylish way. His eyes were large and round, while his red eyes were smaller. His smile showed his sharp pearly white teeth. Following behind him were seats Two, Seven, Twelve, and Thirteen.
Seat Eight introduced himself, âMy nameâs Kirishima, Eijiro, and these are my friends. We were just talking about you, we should all train some time!â Seat Eigh- Kirishima, seemed excited, even though he had know idea who I was, he still acted friendly.
Seat Two spoke next, âIâm Ashido, Mina!â She spoke like a game show host, so much energy, kinda loud. Her body language was interesting, she moved back and forth, unable to stand still, and yet seemed calm, happy bliss. She had short pink hair, about the same color as her skin, and two pale yellow horns protruding from her head, hooked squarely and leaning to opposite sides. Where the âwhitesâ of her eyes would be, was colored black, and her irises yellow. Her eyelashes are notably long, and quite beautiful.
âThe nameâs Kaminari, Denki!â Seat Seven spoke next, he had short golden hair, with a black streak in the shape of lightning. His eyes golden were slightly slanted, and his eyebrows small. He seemed thinner than the other males Iâve met so far. He spoke with confidence, youthful arrogance. âHey, whatâs your quirk?â
His blunt question threw me off, left me staring, dumbfounded. There was a long awkward silence, as I tried to think of something to say. Seat Twelve broke the silence, âYou donât have to answer that. My name is Jiro, Kyoka. Donât mind his stupidity, he doesnât think.â Her voice was quiet, but reassuring, when referring to Kaminari, her voice was sharp, but not mean. Jiroâs dark purple hair just barely touched the bottom of her jawline. Her onyx black eyes were small, contrasting to her well grown eyelashes. She had plug-like earphone jacks at the end of two thin cords hanging from each of her earlobes.
âHe honestly didnât mean anything by it, heâs just fried his brain, one to many times.â Lastly Seat Thirteen remarked. âMy name is Sero, Hanta. Great to see some new faces around here.â He spoke similarly to Seven, Kaminari, youthful arrogance, but at least he seemed kind. He was a tall, lean boy with chin-length black hair, spiked downwards, with jagged bangs coming down his forehead, stopping just above his almond-round eyes. His pupils were notably small, you couldnât see the color of his eyes.
âItâs good to meet you all.â I tilted my head to the blonde boy still sitting on the couch, paying no attention to his friends.
âBakugo, you must be civil and introduce yourself,â Iida spoke sternly and looked to the blonde. With that remark he finally stood, his head turned slowly to reveal a piercing ice cold glare.
He opened his mouth and stated, âIt doesnât matter who you are, it only matters what your quirk is. Without a powerful quirk, youâre just a usel-â
âKacchan!â This time Midoryia spoke up, stopping the rest of his apparent harsh words, almost like it was routine. The boy growled, no snarled, showing his teeth like an animal during a hunt. I recognized him as Seat Seventeen, he was average height, with a slim, muscular build, his skin was soft and had a fair tone. He had short, spiky, blonde hair with choppy bangs. His glaring eyes a sharp, bright red. He grunted something like âwhateverâ and turned to walk away.
âPardon me, Iida? What kind of floors are these?â I never took my eyes off Bakugo, even as he slowly stalked farther away.
âAh, our floors are covered with real Maple Toffee wo-â I didnât give him time to finish his sentence, I could feel the green glow of my eye, and the pulsing of adrenaline. I focused on the movements, the transference from my right foot, to my shoe, and through the floor. Within seconds, the floorboards beneath Bakugo bent up, creating a seven foot wall. He stumbled backwards with surprise, landing on the floor. I walked toward him, stopping with my knees a centimeter away from his back at my sudden presence he launched himself off the floor into the wooden wall glaring at me, as I challenged;
âMy name is Hakai, Sozo. My quirk, Atom Manipulation.â
