I love the exquisite play of emotion on his face. As he stops singing, he smiles gently, and you can see his eyes move back and forth as he takes in every detail of Rapunzel’s face. Then, his smile grows and actually turns a little shy while he tucks her hair back and cradles her jaw in his hand. Even as he guides her in, he keeps studying her face, dazzled by her beauty, and by this newfound love (not to mention, probably checking for any sign of hesitation on her part. After all, this is to be her first kiss). And as he slowly leans in, he keeps his eyes open til the last moment, unwilling to look away from Rapunzel.

Our fitzfam server on discord had headcanons all day yesterday that Ari knows a ton of languages too and she and Eugene talk in other languages, even switch languages mid convo, and Raps and Fred HATE it. They always want to know what they’re saying about them, but Eugene and Ari are cheeky and don’t tell them, only share a glance and start giggling like idiots. Eugene loves his mother in law 🥺

While discussing the headcanon I liked the idea that they found out each other were multilingual because during a conversation with everyone, Eugene ended up mumbling a swear in another language and from across the table Ari was just like “EUGENE”

another friendly reminder that eugene didn't make a move towards rapunzel until her 18th birthday. so the arguement of new dream being not okay is invalid. and sure they have an age gap, but seriously, at least theirs was acceptable because they were both at the age with consent at the end of the movie and the series. get a grip.
