You can find my main and other blogs in this blog's description. I'm bad at intros so... I'm Mexican 🇲🇽 (beware typos).
Trigger warnings: I'm sarcastic, occasional dark humor, cursing, very self-indulgent even if I do enjoy sharing my stuff and requests are normally open. But I won't be writing anything until 2026 because I'm on my last quarter of my master's degree and I'm very drained mentally and physically.
Sexual content isn't bad, but I won't write it explicitly, even if I now feel the freaky feelings™ but I'll warn it in the tags. Tickles are never treated sexually just romantic or platonic/fraternal in my writing.
I wanna clarify I don't plan on writing smut not because it's creepy or weird (it ISN'T) but simply because...
I don't know how, much less mixing it with tickles. And I don't wanna mix them in what I write (I wanna say "yet 😏" or something but I don't know if there will be a point where I'll feel comfortable enough to write spicy tickle stories much less post them and I don't wanna make empty promises).
Also, I'm already 25 years old so yeah, that whole Minors DNI deal. It's for your own safety, kiddo, trust me. The less adults you interact with, the safer for you. It's like playing Russian Roulette (plain stupid even if your chances of getting hurt are "low" in the grand scheme of things, don't try your chances), you don't know when or where you can find a whack job.
I'll leave this here so you can travel around the main bits of my blog:
Tkl talk: just tickle thoughts and opinions.
Memes: for the laughs about the laughs
Teases: get flusted, nerd😏
Art: just some tickle eye candy
Tropes: prompts, tropes, creativity fuel for fics
My Writing: my very self-indulgent and chaotic work
My Drawings: my attempt to draw
Babbling: just me spiraling down to insanity
Marvel (Loki) Tickles Masterpost
So far I've only written Loki as the main focus of my tickle stories and he's still my favorite boy and I wanna maybe try exploring other characters.
Probably Sanji from One Piece will be the first once I explore when I start writing again because the little freak has taken a totalitarian grip of my heart since late 2023.
And I'm sorry I haven't been writing as much as I'd like but when I started writing I was finishing my career so finals were a mess, I was lucky to find a job shortly after and then I started my master's degree... Which includes a big project so I'll be given my title. So... Yeah. It's been... Rather eventful, and really busy. But I pushed an extra subject for this quarter so I'll finish early.
Summary: After Lilith's disappearance, Lucifer is left to fend for himself. As a single father who is often plagued by depression, it's not easy, but he tries his best to be the loving father his daughter needs in these difficult times. And apparently he doesn't make such a bad job as a single father when he looks into his daughter's shining eyes. This is also the case today, when the two of them are caught up in one of their silly games. Because that's exactly what they both need: A little break from the cruel daily life of hell...
Warnings: Fluff, more fluff, lots of (sfw) tickles. Since this is a tickle fic: Don't read if you don't like. As always: English isn't my first language and I translated this from german into english, so be aware that this is not perfect english. I didn't want to upload this one at first, because after I translated this fic from german into english, it sounded so bad, but I sat down and tried to fix it and now it sounds okay. At least I hope so.
Word count: Over 4700 words.
Authors note: Took me long enough to translate this one and then fixing it, because as mentioned it sounded so bad in my eyes and that's why I had to work the whole thing over and this is what came out. Not one of my best fics, but still cute if I do say so myself. I hope you will enjoy it. Just some fluffy bonding time with Lucifer and Charlie (kid). I wanted to upload this on father's day, but missed it. Well, better later than never ;).
This is also my very last Hazbin Hotel fic or my last fic in general, for I don't write anymore. The writer community has changed to the absolute worst and seeing zero feedback on all my writing these days, made me quit after 18 years of writing fanfiction. So enjoy this last fic of mine. I won't be writing more.
Fic under the cut and as always I would appreciate feedback very much. This keeps me motivating to create more stories like these.
Still an angel at heart
As fast as her small hooves could carry her, she ran through the dark corridor. She tried to ignore the eerie laughter that rose from the darkness behind her, as well as the scattered lights that flickeringly illuminated her path as he slowly followed her. The sounds of his steps, slow yet determined, sent a shiver down her spine. Once again, his laughter swelled in the darkness, driving her to run faster, to hide and hope that he wouldn't find her.
"Yes, run. Run, little one. Run as fast as you can. In the end, I will get you anyways~."
His voice sounded deeper than usual, accompanied by a dark growl and that alone was enough to make her stomach tingle and a small giggle sneaked out of her throat. She ran and ran and ran, always on the lookout for a suitable hiding place to hide from him, because once he had found her, there would be no escape for her.
And that was exactly what she wanted to avoid, so her eyes searched for a suitable hiding place and found it moments later in the form of a closet, as she snuck into his bedroom, where the wild chase had begun ten minutes ago and hid there.
"Ohhh Charlie~."
She bit her lip to stifle a giggle, as she hid among his clothes and way too many rubber ducks that were in his closet. She could hear his hooves moving slowly, but purposefully, into her direction. But...he couldn't have seen where she was hiding. That was simply impossible, as she was faster than he was and she had been hiding from him in the dark the whole time.
He had deliberately extinguished the lights in the hallway with his powers to give the whole game a sinister touch. But Charlie wasn't scared. She never was. She was having fun with the whole game and she knew he had only put out the lights to give her a chance to hide from him without him seeing where she was going. And yes, maybe to scare her juuuuust a little bit by making some of the lights flicker. They were in hell after all. Scaring others was on the agenda in hell.
She heard the eerie squeak of a door slowly opening and immediately pressed a hand over her mouth to stifle her giggles. Hooves moved slowly and clackingly across the floor, as he stepped into the room. As she had only left the closet door ajar, she could still see him through the gap and the sight made her shiver once again.
He was standing in the doorway of the bedroom and his glowing red eyes were slowly searching the room for her. His tail whipped back and forth excitedly and his wings spread slowly behind his back, giving him a regal yet sinister appearance. The horns on his head and the grin, that showed all of his sharp fangs, made the scene perfect and if Charlie hadn't known who he really was, she would have thought she had stepped into a horror movie at that moment.
But he wouldn't hurt her. He would never hurt her. He would rather die before he did something like that to the most precious girl in his lonely life.
No, it was all just a harmless game, a little pastime, a bit of fun in this dark and brutal world she grew up in. But she was not afraid of this world, for her father ruled over it as its king. He was the most powerful being in hell and every demon, even many angels of heaven, feared and respected him. And those who dared to try to rise above him…well, let’s say no one has heard from them ever again…
Even if you wouldn't know it from looking at him, as he often came across as playful, even silly, he ruled hell with an iron hand and if even one demon ever dared to rebel against his king, the mask of silliness would fall and make way for the Archangel that he was. And then...oh yes, then he showed all his cruel power and made sure that no demon would ever dare to mess with an Archangel ever again.
Archangels weren't known to be heaven's most powerful and most terrifying weapons for nothing. And even though he had fallen, he was still an Archangel. And one of the most powerful in all existence at that. No one should dare to mess with him!
Would she be as feared as he was later on when she was a fully grown demoness and became the Queen of hell one day?
But...this was actually something she didn't want. She didn't want to be feared. Respected? Yes. But not feared, because she had already made it her dream to lead the demons onto a completely new and better path that would hopefully bring them salvation from their torment one day…
Her brief train of thoughts came to a quick end, as she turned her attention back to the King of Hell, who had started moving again and was now slowly making his way across the room.
"Ohhhh Charlie~. Where are you, my little apple?"
His voice was sinister and yet so playful and she had to bite her lip to keep from giggling and giving herself away. Instead, she stayed quiet and scooted further into the closet as quietly as she could, hiding behind the white coats that would hopefully conceal her well enough if he thought to look for her in the closet.
She could see him looking for her first on his bed, under the blanket and behind the pillows, and then under his bed. But she wasn't there and his wings and tail twitched in mild frustration and that alone made her giggle quietly into her hand.
A mistake, because his head immediately jerked upwards and he listened into the silence of the room.
When he turned around, Charlie felt another cold shiver running down her spine. The grin on his face had taken on sinister proportions and his ruby eyes began to sparkle with anticipation. Like a hunter stalking his prey, he was now moving slowly towards the closet; directly into her direction and Charlie did everything in her power to stay quiet, pressing herself even closer into the corner and pressing the hat, which she had stolen from him earlier, against her chest which had been the catalyst for this chase.
The closer he got to the closet, the more intense his eyes seemed to glow and his six wings spread out to their full span, as he reached out for the closet doors. When he yanked them open, Charlie couldn't help it: a loud squeak escaped her throat, followed immediately by loud giggles, as her father had finally found her.
"Gotcha!" he said with a playfulness in his voice that didn't match his scary appearance at all and he reached out and pushed the clothes aside she was hiding behind.
"And then the little thief has my hat too! Caught red-handed, as they say, didn't you, my little apple?"
Charlie couldn't stop giggling and, as a sign of reconciliation, she held the hat out to him, but the devil just grinned even wider, took it and threw it aside carelessly, before leaning down to her, already halfway into the closet himself.
"It's too late for that now, little one. And do you know why?"
She shook her head, giggling louder and louder and her eyes sparkled with so much joy that his own heart fluttered in his chest.
He was now grinning so widely himself that it almost split his face in half.
"When you stole my hat, you awakened a monster in me. A very special monster. And this monster doesn't like it at all when you steal from it. Do you know what this monster does to little thieves?"
She shook her head again and she could already feel an anticipatory tingle in her stomach as he leaned his head even closer to her and she thought she could see her own face reflected in those ruby-colored eyes.
In one swift motion, he reached for her, pulled her out of the closet and tossed her into the air once, only to quickly catch her again and then pressing his face into the crook of her neck, growling, which made her squeak in such an adorable way that he thought his heart would burst from pure joy and second.
"It's eating her for supper!" he rumbled and he nibbled playfully on her neck, making her laugh so loudly that he feared she was about to explode. Fortunately, this didn't happen and he was able to continue his teasing, moving slowly over to his bed and when he reached it, he threw his daughter onto it and paused briefly to look at her. She lay there giggling and looking up at him with her big, happy, googly eyes and the sight was enough to make his heart almost explode with pride and love.
This was his little girl. His pride and joy, and he would protect her forever, even giving his life for her if necessary; he loved her that much.
It wasn't easy being a single dad, but he was doing his best to be a good and loving father to her and from the way she was looking at him, he seemed to be doing a good job.
His body slowly changed back to its normal shape. His eyes stopped sparkling red and returned to their usual golden glow. The horns on his head also disappeared. But his tail and wings stayed. Grinning, he crawled onto the bed and then over his giggling daughter, who quickly rolled onto her stomach and then tried to crawl away from him, but he was quicker than her, grabbed her legs and pulled her back towards him.
"Ah, ah, ah~. And where exactly are you going? We're not done yet..." he growled playfully as he rolled her back onto her back, grabbed her hands and pinned them over her head into the sheets and held them there. He lay belly down on the bed himself, gently pressing her legs onto the bed with his chest and looked deep into her eyes.
"The tickle monster is still hungry~," he teased with a low growl, which made her giggle absolutely adorably. A sound, so happy, that it would melt even the coldest heart.
"And just look what it caught: A little thief who just won't learn her lesson. Ohhh, I'll eat you for this!"
Shortly afterwards, a loud sugary sweet squeal went through the room, followed by equally loud laughter, as Lucifer playfully nibbled on her neck again, making exaggeratedly loud growling noises while doing so. He loved playing with this daughter like this so much and whenever he found time to do so, he would let himself fall into the mirth and bonding experience these silly games brought.
"Dad, dohohohohon't!" she squeaked as he blew a raspberry against her neck and at the same time he released her hands, which she immediately braced against his shoulders. But she was far too small and far too weak to be able to push him away at all. And secretly she didn't want to, because she was having fun and loved fooling around with her father like that. Seeing her father so happy and playful was a sight for her eyes only and no one else.
He didn't fare any better, as he enjoyed every single second of this silly and playful situation.
The last few months had been anything but easy, especially after Lilith left and never came back. Since then, he had had to look after his daughter all by himself and that was anything but easy for him, as he often suffered from bouts of depression, which he hid from his daughter. In front of Charlie, he always acted in a good mood and tried to be the loving father she deserved, while some nights he cried himself to sleep because he missed his wife so very much. The love he still felt for her was just as strong as it was on the very first day and this would never change.
But today he wasn't faking his good mood, because today it was real and he let his daughter know it. Grinning, he blew another raspberry against her neck, before looking at her happy face. The way her eyes sparkled when she looked at him made his heart beat a little faster.
Oh yes, apparently he wasn't doing too badly as a father...
"Dad? Oh no, my little girl. I'm not your dad. I'm the tickle monster~," he teased her further and with a playful grin on his face, he pulled her pajama top up a little, which made her squeal and giggle loudly, because she knew what was coming. After all, this wasn’t the first time they played this silly game.
"And this tickle monster is still hungry~," he growled playfully before burying his face in her belly and starting nibbling.
Little fingers reached into his short, blond curls and pulled at them, which made him growl once more and as "punishment" for this impertinence, he took a deep breath and blew as hard as he could against Charlie's stomach. A loud shriek echoed through his bedroom shortly afterwards, followed by a pained growl on his part, as he lost a few hairs to his daughter, who pulled at his locks in the heat of the moment and ripped a few of them out. But he wasn't particularly bothered by this and carried on, making his daughter squeal and laugh as he covered her tummy with lots of ticklish kisses, smiling broadly himself at all these joyous sounds that left her lips.
It had been a long time since he had had so much fun and his daughter seemed to be having the time of her life as well. She looked so happy and whenever Lucifer stopped his teasing for a moment and asked her if she had had enough, she shook her head with a giggle and motioned for him to continue, which he did. The ticklish kisses and nibbles resumed and Charlie's cheerful laughter soon filled the room and most likely went beyond it and echoed in the vast halls of his palace once more.
Lucifer knew that his daughter was suffering as much from Lillith's disappearance as he was, because he often saw her sitting in her room, dejected and sad, and in those moments, when she sat there, looking so alone and abandoned, he was there for her, taking her in his arms and holding her close, whispering loving words into her ear, telling her over and over again that he would never leave, that he would always stay by her side and watch over her.
On other days, like today, he indulged in his playfulness, letting out the little child inside him that still lived deep in his heart. Although...no. It wasn't the child he let out of himself, but the angel he had locked away deep inside him since his fall. In moments like these, hidden from the eyes of the denizens of hell, Lucifer Morningstar, the bane of humanity and the dark, cruel King of hell, became the angel he once was.
An angel, that only his beloved daughter got to see and no one else...
"Dad! Stohohohohop it!"
Charlie's voice snapped him out of his thoughts abruptly and, grinning, he pulled away from her belly, but not before given her belly button one last playful smooch. Though, he remained lying on the bed and looking into her face. She was still giggling and he lovingly wiped away cheerful tears with his thumbs before stroking her hair just as lovingly.
"Lesson learned? Or does the tickle monster have to carry on?" he asked teasingly and his grin widened a little when he saw his daughter hesitate. Her eyes sparkled with pure love and trust for him and his heart leapt in his chest at the sight.
"Well, what is it, my little duckling?" he asked again and his eyes sparkled with mischief as he looked down at his daughter, who giggled with childish delight and braced her small hands against his shoulders, but made no effort to give up. She was having fun and she was showing him that and his heart almost burst with love and pride when he saw his daughter being this happy. It was a wonderful sight. One he feared of not seeing ever again after months of darkness both of them went through.
"Are you giving up?" he asked again, but his daughter just shook her head and he clicked his tongue teasingly as he leaned down towards her again until his breath tickled her ear and he had to laugh softly himself as she tried to wriggle away from him.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, didn't your daddy teach you not to mess with the tickle monster?" he asked teasingly, but Charlie only squealed in delight and braced her small hands against his face.
"What's the matter, Charlie? Cat got your tongue?"
She shook her head, grinning broadly at him and Lucifer grinned back just as broadly, showing all of his fangs.
"Then say something."
"You're mean!"
The fallen angel let out an exaggerated gasp, straightening up a little and holding a hand against his chest, right where his heart was, as he looked at her with feigned shock in his eyes.
"Mean? Me?" he asked, also with feigned shock.
Charlie nodded her head, grinning broadly.
"Tsk, me and mean! You know what's mean, little apple?"
She shook her head, still giggling so very cutely.
"Mean is stealing your dad's hat like that and tying a bow on his tail while he's sleeping."
Lucifer lifted his demon tail, which had a small pink bow attached to it and the sight alone was enough to make Charlie laugh loudly. The devil narrowed his eyes menacingly, bent down, grabbed her arms and pinned them over her head once more. His grip was light and gentle though and he made sure that she could free herself at any time if she really wanted to. After all, they were just playing and Lucifer made sure that his daughter was feeling comfortable and safe whenever he was playing these silly games with her. This was meant for bonding and not for scaring her.
"You want to see something that’s really mean, my little duckling? Because that's what happens when you even think about touching the royal devil’s tail. I'll just ignore the fact that you even had the nerve to pull on it earlier. So, what is it, sweetheart? Do you want to see how mean the devil really can be?" he asked teasingly and you could hear how much fun he was having himself in this situation. At that moment, it was just him and Charlie. No heaven, no angels, no hell, no demons. Just him and his beloved daughter.
Charlie shook her head, but her eyes said otherwise and Lucifer grinned broadly when he saw the sparkle of anticipation in her eyes that told him she was still having the time of her life and he could go on with their silly game. Whenever he played these games with her, he kept a close eye on her body language to make sure he never overdid it and that she was having as much fun as he had. Because that's what these games were all about: Fun. And nothing else.
"No? You don’t want to?"
She shook her head again, but she didn't try to free herself from him, even though she could have and her eyes sparkled defiantly, telling him to continue.
Very close, he leaned down to her until his breath tickled her neck.
"Too bad, my little duckling, because I'm going to show you anyway. This is what happens when you mess with the King of hell!"
Shortly after, he buried his face in the crook of her neck, growling, and it wasn't long before Charlie's mirthful laughter echoed through the room again as ticklish kisses and playful raspberries rained down on her neck. She squirmed under him, laughing and squealing, and she even tried to push him away with her little hooves when she could pull her legs out from under his chest. But she was far too weak to do so and thus she just let it happen and enjoyed the time she could spend with her father.
But the whole thing only lasted for a few seconds, because Lucifer didn't want to overdo it and he blew one last raspberry against her neck before he pushed his arms under her and pressed her against chest, before he sat up with her in his arms, laughing; only to let himself fall backwards onto the bed. He placed his daughter on his stomach and grinned at her, as she wiped a few tears from her eyes.
"Too much?" he asked with a hint of concern in his voice, which vanished as Charlie shook her head and grinned at him.
"Good. And your lesson? Did you learn it?"
She nodded her head and giggled when he lifted his eyebrow questioningly.
"Reeeeaaaaaally~?" he asked teasingly and her giggles got a little louder at the sound of his playful voice and she quickly nodded her head again, before he could get any more ideas.
"Good, because if not, you know what happens. Then I'll do this and this and this..."
He emphasized every single "this" with a cheeky poke to her side, ribs or stomach, which made the little demoness flinch and squeal. But she didn’t remain idle, because this time she fought back.
Lucifer was so shocked by the sudden attack that he could only laugh out loud as little fingers pressed into the fabric of his shirt and tickled his stomach.
"Ah, Chahaharlie! Oh no, please don't!" he pleaded in an overdramatic tone, as he began to squirm under the surprisingly skillful little fingers and laughed and squeaked as happily as his daughter had done earlier, when it was her turn. It had been way too long since he had been tickled himself. He had almost forgotten about this feeling…
She squealed all the louder as a strong jolt went through her father's body and only seconds later she fell off him. But she quickly sat up and threw herself onto her father, who had turned onto his side and pulled his arms and legs close to his body, still laughing happily. He had made his wings disappear, as he didn't want to risk hitting his daughter with them in the heat of the moment. His wings were strong and powerful and he didn’t want to risk harming her per accident with them.
"Oh no, Charlie! Please, that's nohohohohohohot fahahahahahair. Dohohohohon't tickle me, don't tickle me pleahahahase!" he pleaded, still in his over dramatically manner, as little fingers tried to worm their way through his arms to get to his ticklish spots, of which he clearly had too many. He was basically a walking tickle spot and his daughter knew this by now and was using this knowledge against him in this very moment, because now it was the devil himself squealing with laughter as his own daughter brought him to his knees.
"Ack! Charlie, Charlie, Chahahaharlie! Not there, oh please...hahaha...and not there either...Ahhh, no, no, no, Charlie please!" he squeaked out between fits of laughter as little fingers attacked all his most ticklish spots and within seconds his head was spinning from the overload of sensations.
It had simply been far too long since he had last laughed as hard as he was doing at that moment and even longer since he had been tickled. And damn, it felt good! Of course, he overdramatized his reactions to make his beloved daughter feel like she was strong enough to bring the King of Hell to his knees. In truth, he could have freed himself at any time. But he didn't. No. He let Charlie have her way with him and he himself enjoyed being able to let loose and laugh so much and so carefree after such a long time of being a prisoner of his own head, tormented by the pain depression brought with it. It was due time he let go and finally enjoy his life after so many years of being depressed.
He rolled happily onto his stomach and Charlie immediately crawled onto his back and attacked it with ticklish fingers and she was already laughing tears herself when her father pressed his face into the pillow and tried to muffle the girlish shrieks that left his lips, as she worked on his shoulder blades, exactly where his wings usually grew out of his back and this time his reaction was not overdramatized, but genuine. His legs kept drumming against the mattress, because he couldn't stand it. This was one of his killer spots. Lilith knew it and now his little duckling knew it too. Great, just great…
"Okay, okay, okay. Chahaharlie okahahahay! Ahh, no! I give up, I give up, I give up...ahahahaha...oh please, little apple. You win."
Charlie immediately stopped her tickle attack and giggled with pure joy, as her father slumped down, completely exhausted, before slowly rolling onto his back. She crawled back onto his stomach and straddled him, grinning triumphantly at him as she saw him wipe a small tear from the corner of his eye.
"And you call your old man mean?" he asked teasingly and he snapped his fingers and only a split second later, his hat appeared in a cloud of golden dust in his hand, causing Charlie to tilt her head questioningly.
She giggled as Lucifer placed the hat on her head, which immediately fell over her eyes as it was far too big for her.
"And now, you're the Queen of Hell, because you defeated the King. Long live the Queen~." he grinned at her as Charlie pushed the hat up a little so she could look at him.
“You’re silly, dad,” she said with amusement in her voice, but Lucifer noticed the excited sparkle in her eyes and the way she wore his hat so proudly.
"Silly? Maybe. But you know what? You're meaner than your old man, so now you're the ruler of hell, because you defeated the old ruler. By really unfair means by that way..."
She giggled as he poked her cheekily in the stomach to emphasize his teasing words.
“Tickling is really unfair, Charlie. And cruel...”
“But you started it,” she retorted and poked him back, which made him flinch and giggle himself.
“Alright, alright, maybe I started it. You better enjoy your little triumph, little apple, because it won't last long. I'll be reclaiming my hat soon enough when I ask for a rematch. Then we shall see who is the stronger ruler of hell," he said teasingly, making tickling motions with his fingers, which immediately made her laugh again.
"Oh? You're laughing already? Then watch how much you'll laugh when the devil demands his hat back. Come here, you little duckling!"
She squealed loudly as Lucifer quickly wrapped his arms around her and pulled her down to him, laughing as he pressed her against his chest. His arms held her tightly, wrapping around her protectively, just as his wings did when he manifested them again. He wrapped them gently around her, protecting her, warming her, as if he was afraid someone might take her away from him.
No! That would never happen. No one would even dare to take her away from him.
Because he was the ruler of this place and everyone showed him the respect he deserved and it would stay that way for all eternity, because they all knew what he could be like when he got angry.
Only his daughter managed to tease the real him out of him and soften him up.
“I love you, my little duckling,” he whispered lovingly into her ear, as he held her close and the smile on his face widened even more as he felt how she snuggled up against him.
“I love you too, dad.”
Oh yes.
Only Charlie managed to turn the King of Hell back into the angel he had once been so long ago, for he was still the angel at heart so many had forgotten about.
Thank you for reading and please don't just like it. Leave me feedback too if you liked the fic. Tell me what you liked most please. I've spend a lot of time writing AND translating this. Please spare one minute of your life time and leave your favorite authors some feedback and show them that you like what they post. Thank you.
oh hey there hows the family thats good thats good hey listen, this is a fic for the MCU featuring our favorite god of mischief!! for a bit of explanation, you, the reader, are a very very skilled marksman and sniper. Also, here's a five dollar word: seiðr, the type of magic practiced in Norse society and what I'm going to call Loki's magic. i hope you enjoy!!!
this is a fic requested by @burningablaze!! thank you so much for requesting!! <3333
this is for TKTober using the prompt list by @vqler
Your boots pounded against the sleek floors of the Avengers compound, breath coming in ragged gasps as you darted around another corner. Somewhere behind you, Loki's laugh, rich, sharp, and far too entertained, rolled down the hallway like a predator's growl.
"This is beneath me," you muttered under your breath, dodging past a reinforced door that you knew led to the sparring room. Honestly, you were just trying to convince yourself that you hadn't really done something that bad. "God of Mischief, my ass... more like the God of Overreacting."
The truth was, you had gone too far this time. It hadn't been your finest idea to grab a can of bright red spray paint from Tony's workshop and leave taunting graffiti all over Loki's prized cloak while he'd been distracted in the library. "Christmas colors are in fashion on Asgard! Red beats green any day!" You'd even doodled crude stick figures of Thor hammering Loki into the ground.
It was glorious... up until he found it.
Now, with every corner you turned, you swore you could hear his voice slithering through the air.
"Run faster, little mortal. I do enjoy a good chase."
You swore and pushed harder, clutching the last of your throwing knives in one hand. Your usual armament of rifles didn't exactly help at point-blank range, and right now, you'd give just about anything for some more distance between you and Loki Laufeyson.
You slid into the training room, boots skidding on polished flooring. Slamming the door shut, you pressed your back against it, chest heaving. Maybe, just maybe, you'd bought yourself a few seconds.
The overhead lights flickered.
A ripple spread across the room, and your stomach plummeted. Loki's illusions shimmered into existence, four of him at once, each smirking with the same infuriating grin. They fanned out to block the exits, long green coats (still stained with streaks of your red paint, to your satisfaction) swishing dramatically.
"Well, well," one of them drawled. "Cornered already?
"I thought you had more fight left in you."
"You really should've chosen blue. Red is such an obvious cry for attention."
The fourth chimed in, wagging a finger. "And on my cloak? Naughty, naughty..."
You gritted your teeth and hurled the knife at the closest version of him. It sliced through empty air as the illusion dispersed like mist.
"Cheap tricks," you spat, yanking another blade from your belt.
"From me?" His voice slithered behind you, low and amused. "My tricks are just fine."
Before you could spin, icy fingers clamped around your wrist, twisting the knife neatly from your grasp.
You cursed, thrashing, but in a heartbeat, glowing green tendrils of seiðr wrapped around your arms, dragging them above your head and fixing them to thin air as though chained to an invisible post. Your knives clattered uselessly to the floor. Loki stepped smoothly in front of you, emerald eyes glittering, lips curled into a grin that spelled nothing but trouble for you. Poor thing.
His ruined cloak still bore your graffiti, an obscene red smiley face sprayed right over his chest, but somehow, that only made him look more menacing. Your grave error stared you in the face along with its consequences.
"Well, look at you now," he purred, circling. "My little vandal caught red-handed. Quite literally." His gaze flicked down at the paint streaks still dried onto your gloves.
You tried to steady your voice, but panic set in fast. "L-Loki, I-I'm sorry, okay? It was just a joke, really-"
"Oh?" His brows lifted, his words laced with mock surprise. "An apology? That quickly? Well, I haven't even started." He pinched your chin and leaned in close, nose inches from yours, voice dropping to a silken whisper as he glared at you spitefully. "Do you know what victory smells like? It smells like fear."
Your chest tightened as he lifted a hand and flexed his fingers ominously.
"No, wait- hang on, let's just talk about this-!"
The first squeeze landed on your ribs, sharp and sudden. You bucked against the bindings with a yelp that instantly cracked into helpless laughter.
"L-LoHoHohOki, doHohoHOOn't-!!"
He chuckled darkly, dragging his fingers up your sides with excruciating slowness, pausing at every flinch, every squeak. "Mmm. Yes. There it is. A delightful sound. You sound almost cheerful for someone about to be undone."
You twisted, shaking your head, but the seiðr held tight. He slipped his hands under your arms, spidering maddeningly light touches into your underarms until you threw your head back, giggles bursting uncontrollably.
"Oh, that's a lovely reaction," Loki mused. "So sharp here, but softer-" He abruptly squeezed at your waist, and you shrieked. "-ahhh, there it is. Such honesty in the language of laughter."
You kicked wildly, trying to curl forward, but he only pushed your arms higher overhead with another flick of magic, exposing you more.
"P-PLEHEHEHEHehHEASe!" you gasped, tears of laughter already springing to your eyes. "IhIHihIHI sHAahhahaId IhihIHI wHhahahas soHohOhorry!!"
"You think that makes up for what you've done?" His smirk widened as he dove mercilessly back into your ribs, scribbling fast until your body convulsed with laughter. "Oh, my dear Y/N, I will paint my vengeance across your nerves until you beg me for mercy."
Your apologies only spilled faster, tumbling between broken laughter, which seemed to fuel his delight all the more.
"Beg louder," he teased, tone silken as his hands darted for your hips. "You've only just started amusing me."
Your head whipped side to side as Loki's fingers danced wickedly over your torso, tracing every seam in your combat gear.
"Such desperation," he murmured, voice syrupy with mischief. "But which is worse for you, hmm?" His hands slowed, deliberately testing. First, maddening wiggles in your underarms that left you hiccuping with giggles. Then a sudden squeeze at your knee that sent your laughter pitching up into shrieks.
"Aha~!" he crowed, triumphant. "The knee, then. My little hero cannot keep their composure."
You gasped through laughter, trying to twist away. "IHIhiHiHI'm NohOhOt- IhiHihI'm NohohoT liHihIHIttle!!"
"Oh, you are compared to me." His smirk was sharper than knives. He leaned close enough for his breath to brush your ear. "And look at that face. You don't have your mask to hide behind, none of your usual stoic calm. Just flushed cheeks and that delightful smile you try so hard to bury."
You squeezed your eyes shut and tried to conceal your face in your arm, but that only made his chuckle deepen. "Oh no, don't you dare hide from me. I'll pry every expression out of you, every laugh, until you admit just how much I own you in this moment."
Your apologies spilled out between giggles, frantic and breathless, but Loki only seemed to savor them like a horn of Asgardian ale.
"Right. Enough fumbling about," Loki declared, and with a wave of seiðr, glowing green hands bloomed from thin air, shimmering duplicates that clamped around your ankles, pulling you taut. They tickled in tandem with his real ones, scribbling mercilessly on your soles.
You screamed with laughter, thrashing around wildly, but the magic held you suspended like a helpless marionette.
"Magnificent," Loki said, eyes glittering. "Such a mighty hero reduced to nothing but laughter when I so choose. Does it tickle more when I tease..." the conjured hands dragged lazy spirals along your arches, "...or when I torment?" He lunged back into your ribs with both hands, squeezing mercilessly.
You nearly choked on your own giggles, tears streaking your cheeks. "L-LOhOhOhOKI!! IHiHihi cahahAHahnt-!"
"Oh, you can." He tilted his head, grin sharp and gleeful. "You'll laugh until I decide otherwise."
The tempo shifted constantly, slow, feather-light touches that drove you mad with anticipation, then sudden vicious squeezes that left you shrieking. Loki hummed under his breath, as though testing an instrument. "Yes... This spot here sings the sweetest," he muttered, clawing at your sides. "But here-" his fingers pinched lightly at your hips and you let out a squeal so sharp he laughed aloud, "-oh, that's worth repeating~."
"IHIHI'LL NEHEHEVER- NEHEHEVER TOUHUHUCH YOUHUHUR CLOHOHOAK AGAHAHAIN!!" you gasped between peals of laughter. "IHIHI'LL- IHIHI'LL EVEEHEHEN POHOHOLISH YOUHUHUR BOOHOOTS- JUHUHUST STOHOHOP!"
Loki's eyes lit with malicious amusement. "Polish my boots? How quaint. You think your petty chores will buy my mercy?" He leaned in close, brushing a single finger under your chin, making you giggle despite the fleeting touch. "No, no, little mortal. Your laughter is worth far more than any groveling."
He dipped to your ear, whispering so softly it made your stomach flip even as you laughed helplessly. "So fragile for someone who calls themselves a warrior. So very easy to undo." His hands darted back to your underarms, and you broke into unrestrained cackles.
"P-pLEEHehEHASE, IhIhI MEhEHEHAN IhIHIHIT!" you begged. "IHIHI'LL DOOHOHOOO AHAHANYTHIHIHING!!"
"Anything?" Loki echoed, savoring the word. He tickled more slowly now, deliberate and cruel, making you gasp between each laugh. "Then admit to me that you are mine to play with."
Through hiccupy giggles, you choked out, "IhihIHI- IHiHII'M YOUHUHURS!! JUHUHUHUHUST STOHOHOHOHOP-!!!"
"Lovely," he purred, though his fingers never faltered.
At last, after what felt like hours but could only have been minutes, the green bindings dissolved. Your body dropped in a heap onto the floor, limbs trembling, lungs gasping for air. You curled onto your side, giggling uncontrollably as the aftershocks rippled through you.
Loki stood above, utterly composed, not a hair out of place, though the crimson graffiti still marred his cloak in bold streaks. He regarded you with cool satisfaction, like a cat who had toyed with a mouse until it lay too exhausted to flee.
"I-Ihihihihi'll wahahahsh ihihit!!" you blurted through lingering laughter, still sprawled on the floor. "Ihihihi swehehehear, Ihihihi'll wahahash the pahaint out... cleheheaner than befohohore... untihihihil it shihines like it's nehehew... juhust plehehease dohohon't... dohohohon't..." A helpless giggle cut you off, leaving you breathless.
Loki smirked, tilting his head. "That will be good, for a start."
With a theatrical swirl of his ruined cloak, he turned and strode from the room, leaving you sprawled on the training floor, breathless, aching, and very aware of your poor life choices.
A few minutes later, the door hissed open again, and you turned your head to see Sam and Bucky walking in with their duffel bags of equipment. They took one look at you and chuckled.
"Yeah," Sam nodded, "Training's like that some days."
Bucky grinned, bending down to ruffle your hair. "It gets easier with time."
"Wh-" You furrowed your brows, then understood. They thought you were totally wiped from a workout. Yes. Okay. Alright, you could work with this. "Y-yeah, those uhm... those lunges were killer."
The two men ahh-ed with understanding.
"You should have stretched first," Sam told you.
"-should have stretched first," Bucky said, a few seconds behind. He pursed his lips and gently hit Sam in the shoulder for saying it first.
"Y-yeheah, I'll do better next time..." you whined softly, although your meaning was different from what they thought. One thing's for sure, you weren't gonna pull a stunt like that on Loki again...
...At least, not in the near future. A month from now, all bets are off. Maybe he'll be a better sport next time.
warnings | fear of thunderstorms, mild swearing, tickling, hurt/comfort
synopsis | as a thunderstorm rages on, loki comes to help you
this story comes from this prompt that i received almost 4 years ago. it’s good to be back <3
It’s just water.
It’s just a flash.
It’s just noise.
Over and over, you repeat those three phrases. Your therapist said it might help when a storm passes through. Sometimes, the rain is calm and it just takes a few deep breaths for your nervous system to regulate.
It’s just water.
Then, the wind blows and knocks the tree branches against your window. Or in your case since you moved into the tower, it makes the building feel like it’s swaying. Lightning flashes bright, like a flash bang, and blinds you for just a moment.
It’s just a flash.
Seconds later, thunder echoes through your room, shaking the walls. The sound is deafening. It sends a chill down your spine and your heart starts racing. Why is it so loud?
It is just noise.
When you lived back home, you had your mom to help you through a storm. You knew it was silly – an adult woman seeking her mother out during a thunderstorm – but she always provided you with a sense of calmness and it truly helped.
You didn’t really have anyone here.
Well, that’s not entirely true. You had people you could always go to about things. You’d go to Nat when you needed advice on a certain combat move. You could always talk to Bruce about science because it has fascinated you since you were a little kid. You even had conversations with Tony about kids and how being a parent changed him.
But this? You had no one to go to about this. A hardened Shield Agent terrified of thunder and lightning... absolutely embarrassing.
You couldn’t even really pinpoint when the fear manifested itself. You supposed it happened when a tree was struck in your backyard, crashing down on your neighbor’s house. 180 degrees in the opposite direction and it could have been your home.
It might have been when a particular thunderstorm caused a tornado to slice through your town when you were 8, stealing the lives of hundreds. It was hard to determine when this phobia of yours stuck, but it didn’t matter. Even in your late 20’s, rainstorms still felt as though some God out there had his hand around your throat.
Giving up on sleep for the time being, you swung your legs off your bed, wrapped yourself in your comfort fleece blanket and padded your way to the door of your room. It was past midnight, close to the witching hour, so you knew your teammates were most likely fast asleep. Quietly, you opened your door and peeked out into the hallway, noting how quiet it was out there despite the storm raging right outside your window.
You shut your door behind you and made your way to the common room. That room was your favorite place in the entire tower. You liked the gym, the lab, and your own room, of course, but the common room was made of the most memories – the best memories. Thoughts of late-night movies and playing video games pulsed in your head as you sank into the couch, attempting to drown out the storm.
It’s just water.
It’s just a flash.
It’s just noise.
Another loud crack boomed through the building and you fought tears from spilling onto your cheeks. It was times like these when you really missed your mom. You didn’t want to call her, though. She’d already be in bed and honestly, she’d probably chastise you for calling because of this and not because you just wanted to talk to her.
Lightning flashed through the window and you counted to 3, waiting for the boom. Thunder struck and you felt the floor shake beneath you. Then, anxiety took over. What if the thunder was enough to shake the entire tower, sending it crashing to the ground? What if this thunderstorm was how you died? Not a villain, not old age, but a storm that swept you away.
What if, what if, what if?
Those thoughts spun around your mind and the tears you tried so hard to keep at bay raced down your cheeks. A quiet sob racked your chest as you prayed to anyone, whatever God that could hear you, that the storm would pass sooner rather than later.
“Are you alright?”
A deep, timbre voice came from behind you, the English accent giving him away immediately. You sniffled, wiping your cheeks quickly before turning your head to look up at the tall demigod. “Gosh, uh, yeah, I’m fine.” You gave him a small smile.
Loki cocked an eyebrow, clearly noticing that you were, in fact, not alright. He rounded the couch and took the seat at the other end.
“Sorry,” you apologized, “I didn’t think anyone would be up this late.” You pulled your blanket up to your chin, averting your eyes away from him.
You wouldn’t say you and Loki were friends. Acquaintances or co-workers, more like. He accompanied you and the rest of the team on missions, and you passed him in hallways or in the training room. But other than that, you rarely saw or spoke to him. He preferred to subject himself to solitude in his own room.
“I am usually up at this hour. I don’t sleep much,” Loki replied. “I come in here once everyone else has gone to sleep. It’s quiet and tolerable.”
You nodded in understanding. This is your favorite room because it’s where most people spend their time. It’s only Loki’s favorite room when it’s been vacated, leaving nothing but silence in its wake.
Realizing you were interrupting his nightly routine, you cleared your throat and made to stand. “Well, I’m sorry for intruding, then. Have a good night.”
“I don’t mind if you stay, Agent,” Loki said before you could fully stand up from the couch. You were taken aback by the quickness of his response, a slight scrunch of your forehead as you turned to look at him. “I was the one who intruded on you, after all.”
Despite wanting to say something, anything at all, you were shocked into silence. This was probably the most he’d ever spoken to you outside of a mission, and... Gods it was so out of character for the man you’d known for close to a year.
Loki took your silence as rejection, however, and stood just as quick as he sat down. “Actually, I’ll retreat back to my room for the night,” he said, giving you a tight grin. “Good night, Agent.”
The second he turned to walk out, lightning lit up the room, casting shadows on furniture and on Loki himself. Thunder would strike any moment and honestly, you didn’t care how desperate you sounded when you turned and grabbed his wrist before he could exit the room and said, “Stay. Please.”
Crack.
You closed your eyes and tightened your grip for the duration of the noise, removing your hand completely from the God once it was quiet again. “I’m sorry, I –”
“You apologize more often than the average Midgardian,” Loki observed. You knew that to be true. It was one of your bad habits. You would always apologize for things that weren’t even your fault. Loki huffed out a laugh and made his way back to the seat he previously vacated.
“Sor- ah, it’s just a thing I do,” you shrugged, shifting back down to the couch and pulling the blanket up to your chin once again.
Raindrops you were sure were the size of golf balls pelted against the window, and you fought not to flinch.
It’s just water.
“Are you sure you’re alright? It seems like something is bothering you.” Loki tilted his head. Not to embarrass yourself further, you nodded and grinned.
“I’m alright. Just can’t sleep.”
“Why ever not?”
Loki’s questions toed the line between just being curious and attempting to pull information out of you. Not that you would particularly mind, but you barely know him. You haven’t even trusted your actual friends with the fact that you’re scared of thunderstorms, let alone the God of Mischief.
Flash.
Your eyes quickly looked toward the window and then back to Loki. “It’s, uh, hard to explain.”
Boom.
Your fingers tightened around the blanket, squeezing as tight as you possibly can without drawing attention to yourself.
“Try me,” Loki said, turning his body more towards you. “I’m a great listener of other people’s issues.”
You laughed quietly, “You learn that from experience?” You found Loki to be a breath of fresh air, honestly. His demeanor made it hard to approach him, so you refrained from talking to him unless it was about something work related. But here he was, sitting with you – next to you, even though there were multiple other chairs in the room – and asking you to confide in him.
It was uncharacteristic for him, but you found that you didn’t mind.
“My dear brother always has something to talk to me about, and while I never really care about any of his issues, I don’t mind listening to yours,” Loki said honestly. “You seem much more fascinating.”
“There is no possible way I am more interesting than your brother. He’s, like, thousands of years old and has an infinite amount of stories to tell,” you chuckled.
“And I’ve heard them all many-a-time. Yours, I have not heard, so...” Loki nodded his head and gestured toward you as if to say, ‘get on with it.’ Your heart wanted to tell him. Your heart essentially was begging you to tell him about your fear of storms just so that the weight of keeping it a secret could be set free. But your head, stronger than your heart, wouldn’t let you.
Your brain was convinced that telling anyone, other than those who already knew, would set you up for a world full of hurt and disappointment. You couldn’t help but think of the inevitable look on Loki’s face when you finally admit it. How embarrassing it must be to fear something so... meek. So, as the thunder crackled outside, you pulled your comfort blanket up even higher and sighed.
“I just have trouble sleeping sometimes. That’s all.”
Loki clearly didn’t like that answer because he shifted his body more towards you and leveled you with an icy stare. Not one of meanness or dislike, but more of knowing you were hiding something from him. “Darling, along with being the God of Mischief, I am also the God of Lies. Do you truly believe that I don’t know you’re keeping information from me?”
The nickname, mixed with his calling out of you, set your cheeks on fire. You cursed your blanket for not being large enough to cover your entire body, including your head. Why did he care? The thought of any answer to that question made your entire body tingle, and you begged the couch to swallow you whole.
Loki, ever perceptive, took notice immediately. “Now, how am I to even see you with this ridiculous blanket covering half of your face?” He asked incredulously, reaching his hand out to grab it. “I’m trying to get to know you.”
As his hand made contact with the blanket, it also made contact with your right foot. His thumb grazed your sole as he tried to take the blanket off of you. Involuntarily, you squeaked and pulled your foot into yourself so quickly that if you were to blink, you could have missed it all together.
You shot your arm out and grasped your blanket, hugging it to yourself like it was your only vice and instinctively covering all of your vulnerable areas. You could not believe the turn of events here. First, the man who lived a few doors down from you, but you still somehow never see wandered into the same room and sat with you. Then, that same man offered to sit there and listen to your anxious feelings. Now, you’re sitting across from that man, who’s known as the God of Mischief, and he’s just found out that you’re ticklish.
What happened in seconds truly felt like hours. Loki’s eyes locked with yours and the smallest smirk appeared on his features. You may not know him well, but you know what that smirk means.
Before you could even make to stand, Loki reached across the sofa and wrapped his hand around your ankle, pulling it toward him and in return, sliding your body down the couch. Your gasp was silenced by the crack of thunder; the kind of thunder you’d usually be afraid of. You couldn’t think of that, now. Now, you were nervously giggling and trying to figure out how in the hell you got yourself into this situation.
“This ought to be an incentive for you to tell me, hm?” Loki pondered as he held onto your ankle with an iron grip, while making sure not to hurt you. He rubbed his thumb against the sole of your foot again and you curled your toes, attempting to wrench your foot from his grip.
“Loki! Wahait!” You whisper-yelled, knowing the entire team was fast asleep just a few meters down the hallway. If Loki started tickling you, it would take everything in you not to laugh and wake everyone in the corridor. “I’m going to wake everyone up!”
“No matter,” he quickly replied, flourishing his hand. You watched in horror, or maybe awe, as the walls of the common room turned a shade of green with a yellow tint to it. “It is completely soundproof. You’re welcome.”
With that, he scratched two fingers right below the ball of your socked foot, sending you straight into hysterics. It has been a very long time since anyone has tickled you. You suspected it was when you were with your ex-lover, which was over a decade ago. Definitely not since you joined SHIELD and the Avengers.
But you knew every single spot that made you want to crawl out of your skin. So did Loki, apparently because he was taking you apart with just a few fingers.
“Now, we can do this your way or my way. Tell me what I want to know.”
You did everything you could to pull your foot from Loki’s grasp, but he held tight, tickling you within an inch of your life. “Nohoho! Dahamn it!”
“No?” Loki repeated, knowing it’s not what you meant to say. He grabbed ahold of your other leg, pulling it out and turning around to place both of your feet into the crook of his elbow. “My way, it is.”
You felt 5 fingers begin scratching all over your feet and you screamed, “OKAHAY! LOKI, WAIT!”
The God halted promptly and turned his head to look back at you with that same adorning smirk on his face. You felt your heartbeat increase as you let out residual laughs and you couldn’t tell if it was from the attack or if it was just because you never noticed how blue Loki’s eyes are. “I’m waiting.”
“You - I just...” You stuttered out, clearly flustered that you were even in this predicament to begin with. How did it go from an awkward encounter to this? The weirdest part of it all was that you didn’t feel uncomfortable. Even though your interactions with Loki before today were slim, it still felt as though he was someone you could tell every secret to and he’d keep it until his dying breath. “This is so unfair, you know!”
Loki nodded and released your feet from his grasp and damn it; you were a little disappointed. You snatched your legs away from him, though, to keep up with the illusion. “And why is that? I merely provided you with an incentive and you chose not to take it.”
“Well, I don’t just tell my secrets to everyone!”
“Ah, so there is a secret you insist on keeping from me. Some people would find that quite rude, you know.” Loki said, then basically pounced on you, pinning you to the couch and kneading his fingers into your sides right above your hips. You let out a giggly scream and shot your hands down to his wrists out of instinct. “I was willing to listen to you if you needed someone to talk to, but I suppose you just need a simple distraction.”
Loki’s fingers squeezed fast as he moved from your sides up to your ribs, making your back completely arch off the couch. “I-hi cahan’t, pleHEASE!”
Your laughter pitched up as he dug into the bones, and your arms slammed down on top of his hands, keeping them pinned. “Oh, dear, this is quite the weak spot you have,” Loki pondered. He wiggled his hands up a bit higher and scratched at your upper ribs where they met your underarm. At that point, you had lost it.
“OKAHAHAY! I’LL TEHELL YOU!” Your laughter went completely silent and you stopped thrashing. Your body went limp and would only twitch if Loki hit a particularly sensitive area. He noticed you were tiring, so he did remove his hands from your torso, watching you with a smile as you came down from your giggle fit.
“Gods, Loki...” You said with a wheeze. “Do you normally go around tickling people you barely know when you don’t get what you want?”
He placed a gentle hand on your knee, rubbing his thumb across your bare skin. Goosebumps rose in his wake and you were thankful you put on shorts to sleep in. His eyes met yours as he said, “Only those who I’ve come to care about.”
You blinked in shock. Loki cared about you? For the year you’d co-habited in the tower, it was clear that you two rarely ever interacted. There were times on a mission or two and during a training session. Maybe even a simple sentence as you passed each other in the hallway. So, when did he take the time to show that he cared. Why did he even care at all?
Your silence prompted him to speak again. “There are few people in this realm that... intrigue me. Since leaving my home and having to stay here, I’ve been distant, angry.” Loki’s eyes never left yours. He made sure he was speaking to you, not around you. He wanted you to understand. “It can be difficult to exist or want to exist when those around you are watching your every move and you’re under scrutiny because of the hardships of your past.”
His admittance encouraged you to reach for the hand that was rubbing your knee, wrapping your fingers around his. “Not me.”
The laugh he made was more of a huff through his nose. Uncharacteristically, without hesitation, he laced his fingers through yours and in an instant, you felt warmer. Not just your hand, but your entire body.
“Not you, no,” Loki repeated. “You watch me for different reasons.”
A soft blush rose to your cheeks, and you finally averted your eyes away from his. Even though communication between the two of you was essentially non-existent, it never stopped you from stealing glances and watching him curiously. You wanted to know more about him. He intrigued you, too.
Still, you berated yourself for not noticing that he was making those same glances over at you. An entire year passed by and you had no idea that he seemingly had feelings for you. It only made you wish you could go back in time and change the way your interactions with him had gone. If you had talked to him more or if you had smiled at him more, maybe things would be different.
“Sorry,” you whispered.
Loki pulled his hands from yours and latched them onto that insanely sensitive muscle right above your knees, squeezing it as you fell back into boisterous laughter. “Again, with the unnecessary apologizing, tsk.”
“WAHAIT! I’m sohorry!” You said in between laughs, cursing when you realized you had said it again. In response, Loki pinched faster and moved his left hand to reach for your belly, vibrating his fingers there. “Noho, okay! I won’t sahay it anymohohore! ProHOMISE!”
He halted tickling you, looking at you with a genuine grin as you caught your breath once more. “This weakness of yours is extremely endearing.”
You playfully glared at him, shifting back to your original position against the arm of the sofa. As the air around you became silent once again, the weight of the conversation you were having settled around you. If Loki could admit that he seemed to have feelings for you, something you’re sure he’s only done a handful of times in his thousand-year life, you could most certainly confide in him and tell him the secret you keep close to your chest.
“The reason I can’t sleep, or I guess the reason I’m even out here at all, is because of the storm,” You mumbled, pulling that fleece blanked back over you as you remembered how terrified you were just 10 minutes before this. “Thunderstorms scare me. They always have and I think they always will.”
Loki had a joke about his brother right on the tip of his tongue, but he refrained from saying it and instead, nodded as his hand found your leg again through the light pink blanket. “I know.”
“You... what?” Raising an eyebrow, you showed confusion on your features. You’d never told anyone about your phobia of storms, only your mom and your friend from back home. How could he have possibly known.
“As I said, you intrigue me,” Loki continued. “I am also very perceptive. I caught on during our second mission together in Budapest during that awful thunderstorm where we had to lie in wait outside.”
You remembered that mission clearly. It nearly caused you to suffer from a panic attack and remove yourself from the team indefinitely. You thought back to the rain mixing in with your silent tears and as you prayed for it to end, it did only seconds later.
“That mission happened almost a year ago,” Your voice quivered through a soft whisper. “Were you the one that made it stop?”
He shook his head. “I don’t have that power, but my brother – he did it without question once I asked.”
Unashamedly, more tears spilled over to race down the apples of your cheeks. It was a silent cry, but one that racked through your body with full force. Loki did that for you. He knew about your fear and he calmed the storm for you. He watched you and he took notice of the one thing that made you feel insignificant and weak, and he unknowingly helped you through it that day.
“Tell me, darling, look outside and tell me what you see.”
You wiped your eyes and did as you were asked, turning your head to look at the window in the common room. Rain continued hitting the glass and then, you saw a bright flash of light.
“A storm,” You replied, a shiver racing down your spine.
“Now, what do you hear?” Loki asked, squeezing your leg fondly to keep from tickling you. You closed your eyes and listened. The rustle of the blanket against the couch as you shifted, Loki’s deep breathing, your own heartbeat pounding in your ears.
Silence.
Opening your glossy eyes, they met Loki’s, the God of Lies, and you’d be damned if they weren’t the most beautiful and honest eyes you’d ever looked into. It dawned on you, then.
He knew about your fear. He heard you slink out of your room and past his own to get to the common room. He came to check on you and when he saw you break from the anxiety of it all, he turned down the noise.
He may not be the God of Thunder, and he may not be able to make it stop, but Loki could do other wonderful things to help you battle this phobia.
“Completely soundproof,” Loki said, repeating his sentence from earlier with a different meaning behind it. “You’re welcome.”
The tiniest smile graced your features as you reached back out to touch his cold, yet silky soft skin. “People are so wrong about you.”
Loki picked up your hand and brought it to his lips, placing a kiss on the back of it. Tingles spread throughout your body, and a pleasurable feeling settled in your bones. “No, they are right in thinking what they do. I just don’t let anyone see this side of me.”
“Yet here you are.”
“Here I am,” He pondered. He, too, took a second to look out of the window at the rain sliding down the glass. It was a particularly bad storm for New York and how he wished he could possess his brother’s powers even just for a moment. “You need not be afraid to come to me about this, you know. Even if I hadn’t noticed or taken a liking to you, I would have done it for you. No one should have to live in fear every time it rains.”
“Taken a liking to me, huh?” You teased him. He responded with a fluttering of fingers at the foot closest to his free hand. Squeaking, you moved your foot in the same way you had when he first tickled you.
“It’s not wise to antagonize the God of Mischief,” Loki smirked. With a playful roll of your eyes, you sat up to position your body in a way that was a bit closer to him.
“I’m sure I’ll have plenty of chances to figure out exactly what you mean by that.” You leaned your head against his shoulder, still cuddled up in your blanket. “Thank you, Loki.”
He threw his arm around your shoulders, tugging you closer. You could hear his heartbeat through his soft shirt and as the silence lingered on, you were lulled to sleep.
Hi! I’m sure you get a lot of requests, so totally feel free to ignore this but I’ve had this idea in my head. Ler Kissy and Lee Player would be so cute. I feel like there’s not much of that in the world. Maybe Player refuses to rest, talking about how he has to provide food for the critters in the Safe Haven or something like that. Since he won’t rest because he’s apparently ‘not tired’, Kissy tickles him so he will be! Lucifer is one of those people who's very strong despite his small size. He is fully capable of pinning both of Alastor's wrists above his head with one hand and absolutely uses this power for evil (aka tickling the Hell out of that deer).
Alastor's so used to it now that it's just a casual Saturday.
Summary: Lucifer loves messing around with the residents of the Hazbin Hotel. His main target is Alastor and he loves playing with the deer demons patience. But what happens when said deer demon runs out of his patience? And what happens when Charlie offers her help to Alastor, so the Radio Demon can get some well deserved revenge? Turns out that even the devil himself has a little weakness of his own...
Warnings: This story contains lots and lots of fluffy tickling, so if you don't like this, then please don't read this, thank you. As always a little OOC warning. Also a little warning for some restrains again (this time for Alastor's and Charlie's safety XD) some mild swearing and a few tiny dirty jokes (I am not sorry for this ;P. But they are harmless, so no worries^^). Again I am NOT a shipper, so please see this as platonic, thank you ;).
Word count: 8800 (I got carried away again. I swear, these fics are getting longer and longer XD)
Authors note: Another revenge story is finished. You can find the previous part here and if you have interest in some more fluffy Hazbin Hotel t-word stories, feel free to check out my masterpost^^
And to the two anons who send me this a few weeks ago:
I tried to add your ideas here, because I found them pretty fitting for the story :3.
PS: I hope my english is still okay. Remember that my mother language is german and not english and that you will find some grammatical errors in my stories^^
Last but not least I can only say this: I cooked a big meal for you in these last three weeks and I hope you'll enjoy it at least a bit haha. Now please excuse me. I'll go back to hiding under my rock... XD

Even the devil has his weakness
With a long and loud sigh, Alastor dropped onto one of the bar stools and buried his face in his arms, which he had previously placed onto the bar counter.
A behavior, that made Husker raise an eyebrow, because he wasn't used to anything like this from his boss. Alastor was a demon who never lost his composure, who always had everything under control and if that wasn't the case, he never showed his discomfort in front of anyone else.
But today he was the complete opposite from the feared Radio Demon he pretended to be day in and day out and the barkeeper couldn't help but feel the corners of his mouth twitch upwards a little in pure amusement.
"Is everything all right, Boss?"
A grumble was the only answer Husker got to his question and that alone amused him even more. He could already guess why Alastor was in such a foul mood and he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy watching the demon, who had him on a leash, suffer a little and he could already think of someone who had annoyed him so much that he got into this state now.
A lot had changed since Lucifer had moved into the hotel after the battle against Adam and his angels.
Husker had imagined many things under the name of "Lucifer", but certainly not the fact that the freaking devil himself could be like a hyperactive child when he wanted to be and yes, even for him there were days when he could only shake his head. It wasn't just once that he wished he was somewhere else, just so he could have some peace and quiet from all of these crazy demons and fallen angels around him that slowly drove him nuts.
But his Boss was usually the one who suffered mostly under Lucifer’s presence and that alone was reason enough for him to stay in the hotel and simply enjoy the show. Just as he had done again today…
The day had gone off to a good start, because when Alastor had been preparing lunch for them all in the late morning, Lucifer had appeared in the kitchen and one thing led to another. One tickly claw dragged across his back and Alastor nearly dropped his pot of freshly cooked Jambalaya and that alone would have been the starting signal for the Apocalypse. Fortunately, he had just managed to hold on to the pot just in time, glaring fire arrows at Lucifer, who had just smirked at him, before he had left the kitchen to leave him alone until lunch time.
Revenge followed only an hour later when lunch was served. Alastor had made Lucifer's portion extra spicy and the King of Hell suddenly didn't look so high and mighty anymore, as tears streamed down his bright golden face and sweat drops had gathered on his forehead. But stubborn as he was, he had tried not to let it show how much the spiciness of the food bothered him. Even though his golden face had spoken volumes and in the end he had even asked for a second serving, just so as not to embarrass himself in front of the Radio Demon.
In the afternoon, the quarrel went into the next round and this time it had been Charlie who got caught in the middle of it...literally. The young princess had made herself comfortable on one of the sofas in the lobby, when Alastor and Lucifer joined her. And barely a minute later, the two of them started arguing about who could put a smile on her face the quickest. In the end, it turned into a competition to see who could make Charlie laugh the hardest and the two had tickled the young demoness so much that Husker had to intervene.
Charlie had then quickly disappeared into her room, still laughing, and the two brawlers had looked for something else in which they could beat each other up.
It was now evening and the hotel was finally quiet.
Alastor winced slightly, when Husker put a glass filled with whiskey in front of his face.
"Calms the nerves," was the cat demon's short comment, before he resumed his work, which consisted of polishing a few glasses.
Alastor remained silent, only grumbling softly and downing the glass in one go, much to Husker's amazement.
"I would never have dreamed of, that the dreaded Radio Demon of all people would be sitting at my bar, looking like he needed to get something off his chest."
Alastor would have liked to wipe the broad grin off Husker’s face, but he was too tired and too annoyed even for that. Living with Lucifer was really pulling on his nerve strings and maybe, just maybe, he wasn't entirely innocent. Maybe he should just stop deliberately messing with that dwarf? But...it was so much fun to mess around with him...
"I don't need to get anything off my chest. I just need a few minutes' rest, that's all. Then I'll be off again, as Charlie and I have a few documents to go through and since our dear King isn't in the hotel at the moment, we'll take the opportunity and the peace to get this done quickly," he grumbled quietly.
"All right. But...if you do want to talk, you know where to find me."
Another grumble, louder this time and Alastor stood up without a comment, turned his back on him and disappeared into one of the hotel corridors with a half-hearted wave and he tried to ignore the broad and slightly gleeful grin on Husker's face...
The silence in the hotel lasted an hour until Lucifer returned.
As the devil entered the lobby and let his gaze wander around, he raised an eyebrow questioningly when he saw no one. Except for Husker, who was still standing behind the bar, pulling a face like seven days of acid rain.
"Hey Kitty, where's everyone else gone?"
The cat demon couldn't help growling, when Lucifer directed those words at him. It was bad enough that Angel called him one stupid nickname after another or that Alastor treated him like a pet, but now the King of Hell was starting with this shit too? Could his life get any shittier?
"I don't know. Angel and Vaggie went out earlier to get something for the hotel. I don't know when they'll be back. Niffty's off somewhere taking care of bugs and Charlie and Alastor are upstairs, working on something together."
"Aha, that all sounds totally interesting but...wait a minute…what did you just say? Charlie and Alastor? Up there? Together?"
"I wouldn't worry about that."
The fallen angel raised an eyebrow questioningly as Husker uttered those words. The look Lucifer could see in his eyes set his alarm bells ringing though, but he tried not to let it show. But he didn’t succeed in that at all.
"I should go upstairs and see what they're up to. Just to be on the safe side, you know? After all, I now know who Alastor is and how…dangerous he can be. Not that he'll do anything bad to Charlie. I mean, she's up there all alone with him and this could be quite dangerous you know? I better check on them..."
Even as he spoke, he was already walking towards the corridor that would lead him to his daughter’s room and Husker didn't even get the chance to shout anything after him. It would have been pointless anyway, as Lucifer, still talking to himself, had already turned the next corner and disappeared into the corridor.
The bartender could only roll his eyes with another growl and clap a hand over his face, as he could already see the next catastrophe ahead of him and could only wait for the inevitable bang that would surely follow soon...
Lucifer was oblivious to such thoughts, as he continued to walk down the corridor, muttering quietly to himself. And the closer he got to Charlie's room door, the more nervous he became, as he thought up all sorts of scenarios. Each with the same result: Charlie, undressed, on her bed and a certain deer demon...also undressed...also on her bed...
"Tze, “working on something”. Of course you are. So that's what they call it today, huh?" he growled quietly to himself and he quickened his steps a little more and the closer he got to the door, the faster his heart was pounding in his chest, as he imagined the wildest scenarios in his head that would certainly give him nightmares tonight.
When he reached the door, he paused and listened.
He couldn't hear anything suspicious and no other sound reached his ears...or...hadn't there just been a noise?
He pressed his ear against the door and listened even harder and sure enough, he could hear his daughter's voice on the other side of the door and...
"Alastor..."
He growled out the name and listened intently.
"Are you sure there's enough room on your bed?"
"Of course, Al. Just make yourself comfortable."
Lucifer felt his right eyelid begin to twitch and his claws threatened to dig into the wood of the door.
"May I leave my coat there?"
"Of course you can. But you could have left it in your room in the first place. I mean, you don't need it now anyway, with what we're doing here."
“Fair enough. And Charlie, dear, we don’t need to use your bed. We can always change over to using your desk, if that’s more comfortable for you.”
And that was the straw that broke the camel's back and the moment when Lucifer couldn't hold himself back any longer and let the helicopter dad off the leash.
Growling, he grabbed the doorknob and tore the door open with a loud "AHA! I finally caught you two during..."
He paused abruptly in mid-sentence and took in the image before his eyes at that moment:
Charlie was sitting on her bed, a sea of documents next to her, which she was trying to sort through until the door was ripped open and her father came stomping in. Alastor was standing slightly away from the bed and had just hung his coat over the armrest of an armchair. He looked at Lucifer with wide eyes and couldn't quite process what had just happened or what accusation he was facing all of a sudden.
When it finally made “click” inside his head, his face turned bright red. Partly out of anger and partly out of shame, at having been accused of something like this.
"What the...?! Dad! Have you gone completely mad?"
Charlie said what the Radio Demon was thinking and apparently the young princess was just as annoyed as he was about the accusation. Her scowl just spoke volumes and it made even the devil himself cringe.
"But...I...I mean...I thought you two would...well...you and him, alone in your room…I thought..." the devil stammered to himself and with every word that left his lips, his voice became more desperate and a slight golden glow settled over his face, as the embarrassment now rose within him as well.
"What did you think Dad? That we were having sex here?"
Out of the corner of her eye, Charlie could see how Alastor flinched at the word. She knew he was a demon who refrained from certain physical activities and she respected that and apparently her father hadn't been told about it yet, otherwise he wouldn't be standing here now, golden-faced and stammering helplessly, hoping to find some excuses to justify him stomping into her room like a lunatic. He also seemed to forget the crucial point that she was already together with Vaggie. Oh man, that was so typical of her father. He only heard the name "Alastor" and thought the worst...
"What? No, never, little apple. I would never think that…Uhhh...well...maybe I would? I mean, you two have been spending a lot of time together lately. Can you blame your old man for having second thoughts?"
"Dad! Alastor and I are business partners. We work together. He keeps the hotel running with me and there's a lot of work that we share or sometimes work on together. Nothing more. So relax."
By now, her anger had faded and given way to amusement as she saw the golden blush on her father's cheeks intensify and a sideways glance at Alastor told her that the normally big, bad Radio Demon had now lost his composure as well, which he was desperately trying to regain. He cast death glares in Lucifer's direction and only seemed to be able to stop himself from causing a bloodbath here and now because of Charlie.
"How about the mighty King leaves us alone now, so we can continue our work?" Alastor pressed out behind gritted teeth and Charlie thought the lights in her room flickered briefly, as the Radio Demon’s rage seemed to spread slowly and was almost palpable.
"Calm down, Al," she said, as his eyes turned into radio dials.
"Oh, come on, Rudolph. Don't twist your cute little tail over a simple misunderstanding~."
And that was the spark that detonated the bomb.
With an animalistic growl, Alastor manifested some tentacles from his back, which grabbed the King of Hell, who couldn't react that quickly and before he knew what was happening, he was thrown back-first onto the bed. Documents whirled around, as he fell onto the bed, trickling carelessly to the floor, for Alastor no longer had eyes for them, but only for the prey he had just caught. A smaller tentacle slammed the door of the room shut, while the rest literally tied Lucifer to the bed.
"Charlie, dear, please, make him shut up already. I can't take it anymore!" the deer demon growled, as he sat down on the bed next to Lucifer's head and rubbed his temples with both index fingers, which inevitably made Charlie giggle and earned her a playful glare from the larger demon.
“I am serious. When I hear him speak, my headache is getting a headache too…”
It was always highly amusing to see how quickly her father managed to upset the otherwise so composed and polite deer demon.
"Come on, Al, you're not exactly innocent either. After all, you let my dad provoke you all the time and you provoke him too. It's not just me who's getting fed up with your banters, you know? How about you two finally sort it out?"
"No way!" was the synchronized reply of the two brawlers and now it was Charlie who rubbed both of her temples in frustration.
"Annoying Bambi is my new purpose in life," the King of Hell said with a broad grin on his face and he didn't seem the least bit frightened that he was lying there and could hardly move. He could free himself at any time, but who said that he wanted to? No, he was far too curious about what was going to happen and besides, he was bored anyway. This was a welcome change from the dull afternoon he had spent pretty much on his own. And if he was honest: He hated being alone…
And besides, he would take every opportunity, no matter how small, to annoy this stag. It always worked so well with him. Just like now, because Alastor growled into his face, when he sat down comfortably on the bed above his head and then motioned for Charlie to join him. Which the princess did. However, she sat down at her father's side and grinned down at him.
There was a look in her eyes that made Lucifer feel very uneasy and he felt a nervous flutter in his stomach, which he didn't like at all.
"You really should stop provoking him, Dad. Haven't you teased him more than enough today? At some point it really has to be enough."
"Oh please. What did I do that was so bad?"
"Are you serious?" the Radio Demon hissed with a hint of radio static in his voice and when Lucifer put his head back to look him in the face, the larger demon looked at him so darkly that it sent a little shiver down his spine.
"Now don't be like that. Nothing bad has happened."
"Dad, seriously. Stop it. You almost ruined Alastor's lunch today, which he spent a really long time on, cooking. And what happened after that...well, I don't even want to talk about that."
This earned the young demoness a broad grin from her father and also from Alastor, as they knew what she was referring to: The spontaneous tickle attack in the lobby, which even Husker had had to intervene in.
"Ha, ha, very funny!" she grumbled and she couldn't prevent the slight blush appearing on her cheeks.
"While we're on the subject, I’ve just got the perfect idea to get the excess energy out of you and give Alastor and maybe even me some revenge on you."
The fallen angel looked at her skeptically with a raised eyebrow.
"What do you mean?"
Alastor perked up his ears curiously and hung on Charlie's lips, as she continued talking.
"First you torture Alastor in front of the whole group a few weeks ago, then you almost ruin his lunch and you keep teasing me too all day long."
"Oh come on, Char, Char. I wouldn't call that torture. You saw for yourself that Bambi didn't mind and had a lot of fun, otherwise he wouldn't have provoked me further in the end, so I kept going," the King grinned and waggled his eyebrows mischievously, as he looked up briefly at Alastor and noticed the slight blush on his cheeks that gave him away. But the stag remained silent and vehemently avoided eye contact with him, only grumbling quietly to himself.
"Besides, I could have moved the whole thing to his radio tower. It would have been interesting if the whole of hell had found out that good old Al bleats like a fawn when you tickle him...or that he's ticklish in general."
The Radio Demon's eyes darkened upon hearing this.
"I would strongly advise against that, Your Majesty! I wouldn't want you to end up in my radio tower!"
"Relax, little buck. My lips are sealed. This stays between us, so don't worry. I'm just teasing you a little."
"You've teased me long enough! Charlie is right: we should urgently do something about your excess energy, Your Highness."
"Oho, when you say that, it sounds kind of dirty. Please go on~."
"Charlie! Please, shut him up already!" Alastor growled darkly and he seemed to be on the verge of losing his last bit of patience now.
The princess had to stifle a laugh, as she listened to their bickering. These two really were worse than any demon child she knew. Like a mixture of water and oil. Or rather like the spark that hit dry grass and then ended in an inferno.
But she could understand Alastor and that he was fed up by all the sex jokes that had been raining down on him recently. First it was Angel who had started all of this and now her father was also doing this kind of jokes in his presence. The latest joke had almost made Alastor tear him apart. He was about to leave the hotel to visit his friend, Rosie, and her father had caught this and had called after him, if he was about to go full “bow chicka wow wow” on his “girlfriend”. Fortunately, Charlie could intervene and prevent Alastor from killing her father (not that he was capable of doing this, but he would have destroyed her hotel for sure), as radio dials had appeared in his eyes, spinning dangerously and he had snarled like a beast at him, before she had managed to push him out of the main door of the hotel to separate him from her father…
She was pulled out of her thoughts, as her father kept messing around with Alastor, even in his current predicament. Oh man, he would never learn his lesson…
"What was that, Rudolph? So weak and pathetic that you have to beg my daughter for help? I really expected something different from such a strong and scary demon like you. Or are you not all that, huh? Are you just acting so strong to hide the cute little fawn that's inside you and that I tickled out of you a few weeks ago?"
"Ohhh, that's enough!" Alastor hissed and he clapped his hand over Lucifer's mouth.
"Just shut up!"
He could see the mischievous grin twinkling in the king's eyes and with a startled squeak, he quickly withdrew his hand.
"Did you just lick my hand?"
"Otherwise you wouldn't have taken it from my mouth."
"That's disgusting!" the younger demon grumbled and, bold as he was, he brought his hand to Lucifer's side and wiped the spit off on his coat. The loud squeak that cut the air shortly afterwards surprised him so much that he quickly pulled his hand away and stared down at the King in amazement, who avoided any eye contact with him and was biting his lower lip so as not to give himself away.
"What in the unholy hell was that?"
A giggle, coming from Charlie, drew his attention back to the King's daughter and he looked at her questioningly.
"Actually, I wasn't going to tell you, but it would only have been a matter of time before you found out on your own anyway."
"What? What would I have found out? Come on, my dear, out with it!"
"My father is ticklish. And I don't just mean a little ticklish, I mean really ticklish. Even worse than you." She uttered the last words with a teasing grin, which made Alastor grumble.
"Oh please...I'm not that ticklish..."
"No, of course not. You were just screaming through the whole lobby when my dad and I tickled you."
Alastor's face immediately rivaled his clothes.
"Ohhh, this sight was simply divine~," Lucifer teased him now too. Again with that mischievous twinkle in his eye and a teasing waggle of his eyebrows.
"If I were you, I wouldn't speak such big words anymore, my King. Not after the information I've just heard. In the position you're in right now, it would really be fatal to test that theory, wouldn't it?"
"Charlie is lying..." was all the fallen angel had to say and he pouted like a little child and avoided eye contact with Alastor and his daughter, who giggled again at the words and immediately scooted a little closer to him.
"You know very well that I'm not lying, Dad. You are by far the most ticklish being in the history of creation."
"Now you're totally exaggerating, Char, Char."
"Oh really?"
"Really. Go ahead and try. I can assure you of one thing: You won't get a single sound out of me."
He said this with such seriousness in his voice that one could almost buy it. But Charlie knew better and she was only too happy to accept the challenge. When she looked into Alastor's face, she could see his eyes sparkling with anticipation and she couldn't blame him for having some vengeance pent up inside him that was now desperate to get out. Not only for the tickle attack in the lobby, but also for all the teasing and mean nicknames her father had given him. And she didn’t even start with all the dirty jokes the poor deer had had to endure recently.
"Well, let's see if you can actually keep your word, my King~. If you insist on not being ticklish, then it shouldn't be difficult for you to stay quiet and not laugh," Alastor said, whose grin became so evil that it sent another shiver down the devil's spine. But he lay still with an iron face, looked the Radio Demon firmly in the eyes and clenched his hands into fists, as he felt the tentacles around his wrists and ankles tighten their grip, stretching his arms far above his head and pinning his legs firmly to the bed.
"Do your worst, Bambi! You won't break me!"
Alastor raised an eyebrow questioningly, maintaining eye contact, as he lifted his hands, intending to bring them to the button placket of Lucifer's coat. Before his hands could even touch it, however, it suddenly burst out of the fallen angel. Like lava shooting out of an erupting volcano, his fit of mirthful laughter poured into the room, even though Alastor hadn't done anything yet and Charlie didn't do anything either, just sat next to him and giggled when she saw her father's strong reaction, which didn't come as a surprise to her.
He had always been so ticklish that it was enough already to wiggle her fingers at him to make him laugh and apparently it was still working on him.
"Wow...that went faster than I expected..." Alastor remarked as he watched the King's strong reaction with amusement and could hardly believe what he was seeing. He had imagined the devil much differently back when he had still been a human, but certainly not like this...
"No, no, no! Stop it! Bad Bambi! Bahahahad Bambihihihi! Stohohohohop!!!"
"I'm literally not doing anything. I'm not even touching you!"
Alastor really had to pull himself together not to join in with the King's cheerful laughter. He tried to remain serious, but Lucifer's laughter was so loud, sounded so cheerful and grew louder and higher with every second that he had to bite his own tongue to keep up his serious expression. And yet he hadn't done anything at all. He was just hovering his hands above his body and apparently that was already enough to make him break.
"Is it really that bad?" he asked Charlie and the princess just nodded her head, giggling.
"I told you, he's by far the most ticklish being ever."
"Interesting..."
The grin on the Radio Demon's face took on sinister proportions and he now looked more like the devil than the devil himself. Said devil was now writhing like a worm in his bonds, laughing and begging while literally nothing was happening to him at all. Oh yes, this would be very entertaining for sure…
"Oh, please don't! No! NO! Stop it you two! Please!" Lucifer said, his voice getting higher and squeakier, as Charlie started undoing the buttons on the bottom row of his coat and Alastor took care of the top row, which wasn't so easy, considering that Lucifer was wriggling around like a beached fish and making all sorts of funny noises. But that made it even more entertaining.
"The great and powerful devil, the evil of all mankind, ruler of all demons, most terrible being in the history of creation, can't even stand us just opening a few buttons on his coat. Oh, if my dear Mama could witness that. Then she certainly wouldn't be afraid of you anymore," Alastor teased him as he slowly, more than slowly, undid one button after another, before his hands met Charlie's.
"Y-you shut up, bellhohohop!"
"And why would I do that? Is it suddenly not so funny anymore when you're on the receiving end, getting a taste of your own medicine to try? It's okay to tease and mock me all day, but when the tables are turned, suddenly I’m supposed to shut up? Oh no, no, that's not how this game is played, Your Highness!"
"I have to agree with him there, Dad. You've been teasing him all day. It's only fair that you get a little taste of your own medicine. And since you're always making fun of Alastor, this should be a fitting punishment for you. At least we're giving you a reason to laugh now," Charlie said as she pushed the white coat aside and opened the red and white striped vest to reveal the white shirt her father was wearing underneath.
"He's all yours, Al."
The deer demon didn't need to be told twice. He made himself even more comfortable on the bed, bent a little over Lucifer’s head and very slowly brought both hands to his captive's sides, making tickling motions with his fingers.
"My claws can't wait! But where should they start? Maybe here, on your sides? Or maybe on your ribs? Under your arms? Or maybe on your little belly~? There's so much to choose from..." he said, enjoying the explosive reaction he was getting for his teasing, as Lucifer kept a close eye on his hands and his grin almost threatened to split his face in half. And the closer Alastor brought his hands to his body, the more the Seraph squirmed on the bed and laughed so loudly that Charlie thought it was already echoing through the entire hotel.
It was nice to see and hear her father laughing so light-heartedly again, especially as she knew that he had been going through a lot of depressive phases recently. Even if this was perhaps a little too radical, but he needed that...
"I think I'll start on the sides."
Alastor’s highly playful voice tore her out of her thoughts and she couldn’t help the amused giggle, coming out of her mouth as she enjoyed the show.
"No! No, no, no, no, no, NO! NO! PLEAHAHAHAHASE!!!" Lucifer screeched and he arched his back, laughing loudly, as Alastor's claws were about to touch his sides. But they didn't. Not yet. A few centimeters still separated them from his body, but that alone seemed to be enough to make the oh-so-great King of Hell almost go through the roof with laughter, as phantom tickles spread all over his skin. His body was already trembling and he laughed and squealed and begged, but nothing softened the heart of his tormentor.
"Just look at you. I'm not even touching you and you're already laughing your head off and begging for mercy. I thought neither I nor Charlie could get a single sound out of you? How quickly you broke your word..."
"He didn't get the title 'Father of Lies' for nothing, Al," Charlie said with a grin and she couldn't take her eyes off her father's face. He looked so happy and carefree and seemed to be having the time of his life. His reaction wasn't so strong for nothing, because a lot had built up inside him over the years and it seemed to be bursting out of him all at once. So many pent-up emotions, so much excess energy...all of it came to the surface at once now, bursting out in a wave of laughter and squeals and shrieks and snorts, even though the actual tickle attack hadn't even begun yet.
Tickling Alastor had already been funny, but her father took it to a whole new level and the knowledge, that he allowed them to do this to him, was just the cherry on top, because he could free himself at any time, but chosed not to, as he was clearly having a lot of fun with fooling around like this.
"Okay, okay, okay! I was lying! But like you didn't do that when it was your turn, Alphonso!"
The deer demon gritted his teeth, before a growl rose from his throat again and his ears pinned back.
"Stop calling me those stupid nicknames already!"
"A-and if I don't want to, you grumpy old moose? Then what?"
Alastor felt his eyelid twitch dangerously and for a moment he wrapped himself in silence, until...
"AHHHHH! No! NO! NOHOHOHOHO! Please! Don't do that! Not there! NOT THERE!!!"
Lucifer nearly exploded with laughter, as Alastor brought his claws under his arms and wiggled them across the thin fabric of his shirt. All the while, he kept his eyes on the fallen angel, delighting in his reactions or the way his face scrunched up, before he started laughing so loudly he was sure it could be heard through the walls of the room. He tore at his restraints like a savage, writhing back and forth, but he couldn't escape his fingers as they mercilessly followed his every move.
"Then this “grumpy, old moose” will do this!" Alastor remarked, smirking as he walked his fingers over Lucifer's trembling and surprisingly ticklish arms, before they reached his armpits again and moved over them like spider legs, causing his victim to wince and squeal loudly.
"Okay! OKAHAHAHAY! I'll take it back! AHHH PLEASE! Stohohohop it! Al, pleahahahase!!!"
"Oho, all of a sudden the moose is turning into Al? We're making progress~."
He took his hands out of the angel's armpits and gave him a little break, which Lucifer gratefully accepted, as he dropped back onto the bed and filled his lungs with fresh oxygen. A soft giggle still came out of his mouth, which got a little louder when Charlie wiped two small tears from the corners of his eyes.
"Just a few seconds of tickling is enough to bring the King of Hell to his knees? That's pretty pathetic..."
"Oh, you know what, Alastor? Screw you!"
"What? Can't handle the truth? Can't handle the fact that you're just too ticklish for this world? That I might only need a single claw to defeat you? Oh, what am I talking about? As ticklish as you are, I would only need a small feather to defeat you. Ohhh, just imagine my next broadcast: The King of Hell, defeated by a fluffy little feather, because he is way too ticklish for his own good. Hell would go crazy over this~."
With every word spoken, the golden blush on the fallen angel's cheeks intensified and he mumbled something into his non-existent beard, which the younger demon couldn’t understand. As dark as Lucifer scowled at him, it wasn’t something nice though.
Alastor could hardly believe what he was seeing. He, a mortal soul, brought the King of Hell to his knees with a few simple words. He had truly messed with many demons in the past. Powerful Overlords and other nasty fellows, that hell had to offer, but Lucifer? The Lucifer? The damn devil himself? Bringing him to his knees gave him the greatest feeling of power he had ever felt and yet...there was something else mixed in. It wasn't this sadistic feeling of superiority that was now affecting him, but something completely different: he was having fun. Honest fun. Something he hadn't felt for a while. Since living in the Hazbin Hotel, he found himself giving in to this feeling more and more often. Normally this should worry, even scare him, but it didn’t. Not anymore…
Charlie had been the first to make him feel that way. Then it had been Niffty, and gradually the rest of that crazy gang and now the bloody King of Hell himself. Even though they were often fighting about something, Alastor couldn't deny the fact that he did enjoy these banters. He loved the attention he got and Lucifer still gave him this strange feeling of what it would be like to have a father figure in his life. And he loved this feeling, had started to crave it even, especially after what had happened to him in those past seven years. Of course, he would never admit that in front of him, because the teasing that would follow would most likely drive him to the brink of complete madness and made him move out of the hotel and to Cannibal town, just to safe the last bit of his reputation and dignity.
So he kept his thoughts to himself and concentrated fully on the here and now again, because he wanted to carry on and he secretly hoped that this incredibly ticklish angel could hold out a little longer, because he didn't want it to end so soon.
As defiant as Lucifer looked at him a moment later, Alastor knew he could still take a lot, because the next teasing wasn't long in coming either and was meant to deliberately provoke him.
Apparently, Alastor wasn't the only one having fun with this silly situation...
"I can help you with feathers, little fawn. A lot of feathers, in fact. I have six wings full of them. If you wanted them, you should have just told me when you were lying here in my place. But...we can test it out sometime. Let's see how long you can stand it, huh?"
"Stand what?"
"My wingtips under your arms, on your sides, your belly, your ears, just everywhere~. Let's see how long it would take me to break you. You're making fun of me and that I'm so ticklish? Damn big words for someone who begged for mercy himself and only because I tickled his little tummy. Do you still remember that? That would also be worthy of a special broadcast: the big, bad Radio Demon can easily be brought to his knees. Just poke him in the sides and he's on the ground. Do some scratchy, scratchy to his widdle belly and he bleats like a fawn~."
Now it was Alastor's turn to turn bright red, as he just imagined this.
Great. This wasn't supposed to be like this. After all, he was the one who had tied Lucifer to the bed and was the one in charge here! He was the one tickling and teasing him and not the other way around! And yet the devil actually managed to turn the tables and throw him completely off his act with those teasing words, flustering him beyond belief. Charlie's giggling didn't make it any better; it made it worse, if that was even possible.
"Ohhh, come on, Alphonso~. I can hear your widdle tail wagging~. Looks like you really can’t wait that I test that theory, huh? And I will, be sure about that and then…Awww, now don't look at me with such bewilderment. I've known about your cute tail for a long time by now, but kept it to myself. Do you really think I missed how much it wagged when I tickled you in the lobby? Please. I noticed this right away, but didn’t say anything.”
"Stop it already..." Alastor grumbled and at that moment he seriously considered calling the whole thing off and merging with the shadows in order to get out of this embarrassing situation with some dignity left. But...that would have little to do with dignity. He would look like a coward and only show Lucifer that he was weak. He had to be strong and just rise above it. And he had to get his damn face color back under control, which wasn't even that easy when you were on the receiving end of the teasing. And his stupid tail needed to stop wagging too! That had been happening far too often lately! A little bit too often, for his taste. Oh man. Since he lived in this blasted hotel, his reputation as a feared monster was truly gone…
"Stop? Oh no, no, no, buck. I'm just getting started~. Did you know that angel feathers tickle much worse than normal feathers? No, I'm sure you didn't know that, but I'd be happy to show you. Or you can just ask my little Charlie here. She's already had her experiences with my feathers. Back then, when she got really cheeky with her old man. I pinned her down, spread my wings and then...AHHH! SHIT! CHAHAHAHARLIE!!!"
Before he could finish his sentence, Charlie had dug her fingers into his belly to quickly silencing him. Still giggling, but now also with a slight blush on her cheeks, she continued to tickle her father, not giving him a chance to finish his story. Much to the amusement of Alastor, who watched the whole thing with an amused shake of his head.
If anyone had told him before he died that this was what life in hell would be like, he would have labeled them as completely crazy.
"Aren't you going to help me, Al?"
His grin widened when Charlie asked him this question and without answering her verbally, he brought his claws back to Lucifer's body. While Charlie took care of his belly, Alastor took care of his sides, ribs and armpits, switching back and forth between the spots to keep Lucifer guessing, scratching under his arms, playing his ribs like a piano, squeezing his sides and it wasn't long before the room was filled with lots of merry laughter, loud squeals and all sorts of other funny noises, coming from Lucifer. And Alastor tried to ignore the fact that his tail was already becoming a propeller again; wagging so fast it was witness to the fact that he was still having much fun and Charlie felt no different, for she was also having the time of her life right now.
"You should have told me much earlier that he is so ticklish, dear. If I had known, it would be so easy to shut him up. I would have done this much earlier," Alastor remarked with an amused smirk and he couldn't take his eyes off Lucifer's face anymore, as he let his claws slowly stroke over his sides. Up and down and on and on, making the fallen angel jump beneath him and he tried so hard to wriggle away from the claws. His limbs tore desperately at the tentacles, but they didn't give him free and he simply had to surrender to the tickle attack.
"Stop, stop, stohohohohop, AHHH! PLEAHAHAHASE! T-two against one isn't fahahahahair!!!" the devil squeezed out under his laughing fit and he arched his back as much as he could when Alastor had found a particularly ticklish spot on his upper ribs and lingered there, just moving his index fingers teasingly over that one little spot. If he hadn't been holding Lucifer down with his tentacles, he was sure he would be jumping through the ceiling right now.
"We never said this was going to be fair~, Charlie teased him, as she was about to push his shirt up a little, only to let her fingers teasingly brush over his now bare belly. Very slowly, from one side to the other and she giggled herself as she saw the muscles twitching wildly under the pale skin and at the same time loud squeals mingled with her father's laughter.
"Pah! He tells me I can't take what I dish out, but he's not much better himself. He can't stand his own medicine at all," Alastor remarked, his grin almost splitting his own face in half. He let his index fingers slide agonizingly slowly from his ribs up into the angel's armpits again and scratched gently over the thin fabric of his shirt. His captive's laughter grew a little louder and even his hips lifted off of the bed for a second. Apparently a good spot to linger for a while...
“S-Stahahahahap ihihihihit!”
"Ohhh, what's the matter, my King? Does that tickle? But I thought you weren't ticklish? Then it shouldn't bother you at all. So why are you laughing then? Did Charlie and I perhaps do or say something funny? Don't you want to share the joke with us?"
"Y-your fahahahce is the joke, Bahahahambihihihi!"
Charlie giggled in amusement, as she saw how Alastor pinned his ears back again and gave her an annoyed look.
"After all that, he's still got such a big mouth?"
"You should know by now that my father never learns his lesson."
"He'll learn this one. We'll make sure of that..." the stag growled darkly and he focused again on that wriggling something under his claws.
"Where is he most ticklish?"
Lucifer's eyes widened and he looked pleadingly at his daughter, but she just grinned and waggled her eyebrows mischievously before looking at Alastor again.
"Try his shoulder blades. Where his wings normally meet his back. He can barely stand it."
"CHAHAHAHARLIE! Y-you little traitor! AHHHH! NOHOHOHO!!! Damn you, Alastohohohor! Get your hahahahands off mehehehe!!! Th-thahahat’s an order from your kihihihing!!!"
"If you would say the command with a little more seriousness, I might even be inclined to obey. Just stop laughing and I'll take my hands away immediately…my King~"
Alastor's grin turned slightly sadistic, as he saw Lucifer try to say something back, but all that came out of his mouth was some stammering that he couldn't provide, before a loud scream broke out of him and he began to squirm as hard as he could under the attack, as Alastor slid his hands between the mattress and his back and carefully searched for the spot Charlie had mentioned and apparently he had found it right away, judging by the explosive reaction he was receiving, as he dug his claws in.
He was all the more shocked when the wings of the fallen angel suddenly manifested themselves and almost swept him off the bed. Three pairs of huge, beautiful white and red wings were now lying there, right in front of him, shaking already and Alastor paused in his attack for a moment so that he could process the sight before his eyes. He simply ignored Charlie's amused giggles and the fact that Lucifer was still laughing like a maniac, as the princess continued to tickle his belly. At that moment, Alastor only had eyes for those glorious wings and he wanted to bury his hands in that mass of fluffy feathers. But he held back, for reasons unknown to himself.
Perhaps it was because he considered the wings of an angel to be one of his most sensitive parts and something like that was not something you just touched? After all, he didn't want to be touched on his ears or his tail just like that.
Strange that it was down here in hell that he suddenly learned something like morals...
Charlie's cheerful laughter snapped him out of his thoughts and she looked at him with a raised eyebrow, before winking mischievously at him when she apparently understood why he was suddenly so quiet, causing him to tilt his head questioningly.
"His wings are great, aren't they?" she asked, stopping her tickle attack for a moment, to let her father breathe.
Apparently she had noticed his dreamy look, which immediately brought a blush to his cheeks again and he nodded his head shyly.
"Even I have to admit that they're quite...okay," he mumbled, slightly embarrassed that she could read him like an open book.
Yes, he was just far too proud to admit that he had never seen anything more beautiful than those wings. Where would he end up if he admitted something like that out loud? And then in front of Lucifer? After all, he still wanted to keep a little bit of his dignity!
"Quite okay? They're the best thing you'll ever see in your life, Rudolph! And I can assure you of one thing: You'll soon be feeling them! Every. Single. Feather! Just you wait until I get my hands on you! I am so going to make you pay for this! Same goes for you, Charlie!"
The Radio Demon couldn't help rolling his eyes, but he tried to ignore the slight shiver that ran down his spine at Lucifer's threat and he could feel his thin fur bristling under his clothes as he was just looking at those wings and imagining how much it would tickle when those feathers touched his skin...
"That can get pretty nasty indeed. Just too bad your strongest tickle weapons are also your Achilles heel, Dad."
Alastor’s ears immediately perked up at this.
"Charlie! Stop saying things like that!"
"Why should I? I'm just making sure the odds are even if you feel like giving Al a taste of your feathers."
Lucifer was about to say something in response, but all that came out of his mouth was a loud, high-pitched scream, as he felt claws curiously slipping under his feathers, searching for the soft skin beneath. When they found it and when they started to wiggle, his laughter faded briefly into silence and his wings began flapping wildly up and down and Alastor had to be careful not to get hit. The documents from before flew through the whole room now along with a few smaller feathers from his wings and Alastor and also Charlie really had to be careful now not to get hit by one of those massive wings.
"Oh my, I didn't expect such a strong reaction..." the Radio Demon remarked with an evil grin and he carried on happily, telling Charlie to do the same, which the princess didn't need to be told twice.
“GODDAMNIT YOU TWO! AHAHAHA STOP! STOP! STOP! NOT MY WIHIHIHIHNGS! OH PLEAHAHAHASE! COME OHOHOHON! STAHAHAHAP!!” he shrieked as his laughter faded into silence once again.
They ignored his begging and while Alastor took care of the top set wings, Charlie pressed her lips against Lucifer's belly and blew a big raspberry into his skin. Another loud scream cut the air, as the devil had regained his voice, which not only made Charlie's ears ring, but Alastor's as well and the deer demon had to let go of the king’s wings and quickly grabbed his wrists with his own hands now, sensing that Lucifer was now seriously trying to break free from his tendrils, as Charlie dug her fingers into the bottom pair of his wings.
"Damn it, he's strong!!!" Alastor growled and he had to concentrate all his strength to keep him pinned to the bed, as he got to feel a tiny bit of the true power of the Seraph.
"I can't hold him much longer, Charlie, be careful," he warned the princess and only a few moments later, Lucifer managed to break free from his grip. The tendrils let go of him and disappeared and Alastor let go of his wrists at the same time and the devil disappeared in a cloud of golden dust, only to reappear at the other end of the room.
Still giggling softly, he rubbed his arms over his sides to get rid of the phantom tickles that were still maltreating his body and he quickly hid his wings again. His hair was a mess, as his hat had fallen off his head right at the beginning and was now lying carelessly on the floor next to the bedside table. His stomach muscles burned like fire and yet it was one of the best feelings for him, because it had been a long time since he had laughed this hard. He felt as light as a feather himself at that moment. As if a great weight had been lifted off his shoulders...
"And they call me the devil. You two are the real devils here!" he said, as he wiped a few tears from his eyes, but his persistent giggle and broad, happy grin took all the venom out of his words and he showed Charlie and Alastor that he wasn't serious with what he had just said, that he just meant it in a playful way.
"I take that as a compliment," Alastor replied, who gave the fallen angel an amused grin, just as Charlie did.
"I'll take your word for it, bellhop."
"If you want a second round, you're welcome back on the bed. I'm sure your daughter would keep me company again."
"Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass. Don't you two have something else to do? Like going through some documents?"
“You mean the documents that are now scatted through the whole room, because of you?”
“Now come on, Bambi. I am pretty sure you, as the facility manager of the hotel, can clean this up in a second.”
“Oh, why you little…”
Lucifer smirked.
“Heh, gotcha!”
"Dad, stop. You’re stalling now."
Charlie's highly amused words caused the glint of gold to return to his cheeks and he quickly cleared his throat, embarrassed.
"I'm not stalling at all!"
"Oh no?"
"No, Char, Char. I just remembered that I have something important to do myself."
"So? And what could that be, Your Majesty?" Alastor asked him teasingly.
"Something very, very important. So important that I'd rather keep it to myself. Well then, you two, see you around."
And in the next second, Lucifer was gone, leaving Alastor and Charlie sitting on the now messy bed in a mess of documents and feathers all around them, totally bewildered but still highly amused.
Did Lucifer learn his lesson that day?
Probably not...
Oh yes, life at the Hazbin Hotel wasn't easy and yet Alastor didn't want to be anywhere else but here.
As he had already said it to Niffty a few weeks ago:
One could really get used to this crazy bunch of demons and fallen angels...
Thank you for reading and please don't just like it. Leave me feedback too if you liked the fic. Tell me what you liked most please. I've spend a lot of time writing AND translating this. Please spare one minute of your life time and leave your favorite authors some feedback and show them that you like what they post. Thank you.
Summary: Everyday life slowly returns to the Hazbin Hotel now that Vox is no longer a threat. New sinners move into the hotel, now that they know redemption really works. The hotel is a huge success. But something is dampening the mood. Charlie feels terrible when she thinks about how she treated Alastor and her own father during the recent events. She had already apologized to Alastor, but could she do the same to her father after everything that had happened between them?
Warnings: HEAVY spoilers for Season 2, so if you haven't watched the season yet; DON'T read this! Fluff, more fluff, lots of (sfw) tickles. Since this is a tickle fic: Don't read if you don't like. Also a warning for swearing in this one because it's Hazbin Hotel. If you're a minor, reading this fic and complaining, then why are you even watching shows like this when it's not even for your age?!
As always: English isn't my first language and I translated this from german into english, so be aware that this is not perfect english. I hope it's okay, for I am a little rusty in terms of writing fanfiction. Haven't done this in over a year, so forgive me if this isn't high quality content.
Word count: Almost 4500 words.
Authors note: I am not really back in the writer community, but this idea has been stuck in my head ever since I finished the second season. This was something that bothered me so very much: The way Alastor and Lucifer got treated in this season. I didn't like that at all and fortuntately fanfiction exists. I had to write this down and since some people showed interest, I decided to share it. Please also read the tags when you're done reading, for I've put a question into the tags ;)
Please enjoy it and I would be very happy if you leave me some feedback when you're done reading. This would be much appreciated :).
Fic under the cut:
Just say sorry
Days had passed since the battle against Vox and slowly, normality was returning to Hell. Well, more or less. If you could talk about something like normality in Hell in the first place.
A lot had happened in the last few weeks.
And much of what had happened was difficult to forget for everyone involved in recent events.
Charlie was sitting on her bed, all alone, her knees pulled up to her chest and her head resting on them, lost in her gloomy thoughts.
Vaggie was in the lobby with the others, helping to check the new sinners into the hotel. Charlie had actually wanted to help too, but her girlfriend had thought she urgently needed some rest and if Charlie was honest, she was grateful for the little break Vaggie had given her.
But now, sitting here all alone, a storm of thoughts and memories raged through her head that just wouldn't stop. She thought about everything that had happened and felt increasingly ashamed of her actions or the way she had behaved when Vox had tried to damage her reputation and manipulate her.
She hadn't exactly behaved like the princess of hell in these times. No. In many situations, she had behaved like a stubborn little brat instead of an adult demoness. Something she only now truly realized and which made her cheeks glow pink from sheer embarrassment, because the full range of her childish decisions and the way she had behaved only now became clear to her and yes, she felt increasingly ashamed of that and just wished she could forget about what had happened.
And if it wasn't the childish things she had done, it was the fact that she had been so obsessed with getting her mother's attention that she had almost completely forgotten about her friends and even her own father. The people that had always been there for her, unlike her mother, who was never calling back when she had begged her for help!
Just thinking about how she had practically abandoned Alastor when he was kidnapped by Vox made her shudder uncomfortably, even though she had recently found the courage to apologize to him. She had been surprised that the Radio Demon had accepted her apology at all. She was grateful for that and gave Alastor his space as he was still recovering from his fight with Vox and he seemed to need some distance to her and the others after all that had happened recently. He had suffered many wounds from the fight against Vox and the one he had received from Adam months ago further weakened him. He still wasn’t in a good mood and Charlie decided to give him all the space and time he needed. She could understand him and why he was pissed, because he had risk his life to protect this hotel when Adam and his army of exorcists had attack and then Charlie had “thanked him” by abandoning him when Vox had managed to capture him? What kind of friend was she?!
She was just glad he came back to the hotel after everything that had happened and how he was treated. She would give him all the time he needed now and if he didn’t want to spend time with her or the other then she would accept this without asking for a reason.
She had offered to help him with his wounds, but stubborn as Alastor was, he had politely declined, saying he could take care of them himself, since he was on his own all the time anyway. And yes, Charlie admitted, embarrassed, that she had more than deserved that verbal punch.
In the end she was just happy that he had moved back into the hotel after all, even if it was only to continue arguing with her father. A thought that made her roll her eyes. Those two just wouldn’t get along with one another and behaved like an old married couple. Or like oil and water whenever they met.
While she was on the subject...
In retrospect, she was also ashamed when she thought about how she had treated her father.
Lucifer had taken on Vox to protect her and she had thanked him by yelling at him. And in front of her girlfriend, too. She had seen how frightened her dad had reacted and that it must have triggered old traumas from his fall the moment she had dared to raise her voice in front of him. She felt miserable and ashamed for having done such a terrible thing and as if that wasn’t bad enough, she had hardly cared when Vox had abused him as a living battery. Well, to be fair she didn’t know about that until the end, but still…her dad had been missing the whole time and she hadn’t even bothered to look for him. He could have died and she wouldn’t even have found out about this because she was caring for other things back then.
What kind of daughter was she, who had almost left her own father to die?
It was bad enough that she had treated Vaggie like shit. Even worse that she hadn’t even tried to help Alastor out of his misery when he had been in Vox clutches. But not even caring for her dad, her family, when he was about to die from a maniac like Vox was the worst thing she had ever done in her entire life.
A whimper escaped her throat as all these thoughts overwhelmed her and her fingers dug into her hair as everything became too much to bear.
Lucifer was still struggling with the aftermath of Vox's attack on him. He was still weak and even though he tried to hide his wounds, Charlie knew they were there. Wounds she could have prevented if she hadn't yelled at him and kicked him out of the hotel! He was a powerful Seraphim, strong enough to level the entirety of Hell. The fact that he could no longer even heal himself with his angelic powers spoke volumes and demonstrated how weakened he still was. Even if he tried to hide his true feelings under his cheerful mask, Charlie could see the storm of thoughts and feelings inside of him whenever she glanced at him when he came out of his room. Which didn’t happen too often, because he was the King of Hell and apparently he didn’t want his subjects to see him this weak.
“Oh, Dad...” she murmured plaintively into the silence of the room, her cheeks burning bright with shame.
It was time to sincerely apologize to her father for her behavior.
How often had she taught Sir Pentious that one must always apologize for one's misdeeds, and yet she herself hadn’t been able to bring herself to sit down with him and apologize to him. It was the least she could do, but day after day she had put it off and avoided Lucifer. She could hardly look him in the face; she was so ashamed of her actions.
It was time to grow a pair and finally talk to him!
She had even made him leave the hotel and because of her, he had been lured into a trap by Vox and then he had been tortured. If she hadn't treated him so badly, none of this would have happened. Vox wouldn't have been able to start his machine. And he would never have been able to attack Heaven, let alone destroy half of Pride Ring. When she thought about it, it was all her fault. And all because she had behaved like a little brat instead of acting like the princess she was and taking responsibility.
Once again, a whimper escaped her lips and tears ran down her cheeks as she realized how much damage she had caused. She was the princess of Hell and she had sworn to protect her people and not harm them!
The city was currently being rebuilt and despite her actions, many sinners had moved into the hotel after seeing proof that demons could be redeemed and ascend to heaven.
Her hotel was running perfectly and yet she sat here, giving in to her grief and dark thoughts. This couldn't go on. No way. She had to do something!
She wiped the tears from her reddened eyes and made a decision. Gathering all her courage, she got up and made her way to the top floor.
To where Lucifer had his room...
A few minutes later, she stood in front of her father's room, with her heart pounding wildly inside her chest. She was nervous. So nervous, that she hesitated to knock on the door. But she knew she couldn't leave and that she had to apologize to him for her behavior, so she gathered all her courage and knocked on the door before she could change her mind.
She heard rumbling behind the door and couldn't help but roll her eyes playfully, her lips twitching upward slightly for the first time in days when she heard her father call out from behind the door that he would be with his visitor in a moment.
Just a few moments later, the door opened and Lucifer appeared on the threshold. Dressed in a much too large fluffy sweater and matching cozy pants and...were those duck-shaped slippers? Oh man. He didn't look royal at all and it was this sight that eased Charlie's nervousness a little and almost brought a small smile to her lips.
“Oh, hey Charlie. What brings you here?”
Now or never...
The small smile on Charlie's face now looked tense and embarrassed as she scratched the back of her head and tried to avoid her father's gaze. Too much had happened between them in the last few weeks and she found it difficult to even look him in the eyes. Her shame grew with every passing second, but she had to do this. Otherwise, she was sure she wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully again.
“Hi, Dad. I... I wanted to talk to you. Do you have a moment?”
The words came out awkwardly, almost like a whisper and she kept her eyes lowered.
For a moment, there was silence between them until a hand rested on her shoulder, making her flinch. And then, finally, she dared to look up.
What she saw made her heart skip a beat, because the fallen angel gave her such a loving smile that tears threatened to well up in her eyes again.
Apparently, he knew why she had come and what she wanted to talk to him about.
“Come in. Then we can talk in peace.”
Nervously, Charlie followed him into his room. As usual, the King's room looked as if a shipload of rubber ducks had exploded in there. A fact, that usually made her smile and shake her head. But today, only shame was visible on her face. Here and there, she could even see a few oversized stuffed animals shaped like ducks on his bed. As far as she knew, they were new. Who could have given them to him? She would look into that in due course, but now there were other things she had to focus on.
Her heart was pounding wildly in her chest as if she had run a marathon across the entire of hell when Lucifer closed the door and they were both alone.
She shyly sat down on the edge of his bed, kept her gaze lowered and kneaded her hands in her lap. She was so nervous and didn't know where to start.
So she took a deep breath, tried to calm her nerves and lifted her head slightly, shyly seeking the king's gaze before she began to speak.
“Dad. I wanted you to know that...I...well...I'm...”
She didn't even get to finish her sentence, because Lucifer was at her side before she even realized what was happening. His arms closed around her and she was pressed tightly against him. Immediately, his warmth transferred to her body, releasing her tension and nervousness. She felt his heartbeat, heard the steady thumping in her ear and that was all she needed for her nerves to relax.
He was alive and well. She felt and heard his life thumping in her ear. The most beautiful sound in hell. Her dad was here, alive, and she was lying in his arms, feeling his warmth and his unconditional love. After everything that had happened between them, he still loved her.
“Dad, I—”
“Shhh. I know, Charlie. I know...”
It was just a whisper that left his lips, but Charlie understood.
Not a word came from her lips as she closed her eyes and leaned against the Seraphim, who was still holding her in his arms as if he feared someone might snatch her away from him.
No words were needed for him to know why his daughter had come to him and Charlie was also relieved that her dad forgave her for her actions.
“I'm so sorry, Dad,” she whispered, tears welling up in her eyes again, which she could barely hold back. Seconds later, a sob shook her body as all her feelings of guilt came crashing down on her and the floodgates opened.
Lucifer let her cry and waited until she calmed down. Only then did he wipe the tears from her eyes with his thumbs, gently grabbing her chin to lift her head.
“It's okay, Charlie. There's nothing to forgive.”
Her eyes widened and she wanted to protest, but Lucifer put a finger to her lips and silenced her.
“I said there's nothing to forgive. Everything is okay. I'm not mad at you. You were under a lot of stress. I understand that, because I've been in situations like that myself.”
He lovingly brushed her hair from her forehead and gave her such a gentle smile that only an angel could give.
“I will never again allow a demon to drive a wedge between us. Never again, do you hear me?”
Hellfire flared briefly in his eyes and he bared his fangs like the beast that slumbered deep within him. But as quickly as it had come, it disappeared, giving way to the angel he was.
For a long moment, father and daughter just stared at each other until Lucifer broke the silence and gave his daughter a small, mischievous smile.
“How about giving me a smile instead of this gloomy look of yours, hm?” he asked and the teasing tone didn’t escape Charlie, but the shame inside her was too great for her to play along. Nevertheless, she tried to give him a smile, but it looked rather forced than sincere.
Lucifer grimaced when he saw the forced smile on his daughter's face and shook his head with a sigh.
“You can do better than that, Char, Char.”
Charlie tried again, but once more without success, which elicited another sigh from the King of Hell.
“Seriously, Charlie. That's not a smile. You know what? You're not leaving this room until you've given me a real smile.”
The young princess was about to open her mouth to say something, but instead of words, a surprised squeak escaped her throat when she suddenly felt a movement at her side. She flinched and stared at her dad in disbelief, who grinned at her from ear to ear.
"What? If you can't manage to give me a smile, I'll just have to help you along and this always works."
To emphasize his words, he gave her sides a few playful squeezes that had her flinching and giggling for the first time in what felt like an eternity for her.
This couldn't be happening. She tried to apologize and what did he do? He tickled her and grinned so broadly that her cheeks turned red. This angel just couldn’t stay serious. And maybe that was exactly what she needed. What they both needed after all the bad things that had been happening between them.
“Dahahahahad! Are you s-serious?” she asked between her giggle fit, playfully swatting his hands away. At the same time, she felt the weight lift from her shoulders. The grin, the playful twinkle in the angel’s eyes and his playful manner were contagious and, for the first time in weeks, freed her mind from all the bad thoughts. Now there was only her and him. A family again. And the smile, that was appearing on her face, was finally genuine.
“Oh yes, I'm dead serious. Come here! I am not done yet! You still need to learn how to give your old man a proper smile!”
She squealed when his hands reached for her sides once more, but this time she managed to deftly dodge him and jump off the bed. She didn't just stand there idly, but immediately went for a counterattack, because what Hell didn't know was that their king was ticklish too. Very ticklish, to be precise. And Charlie guarded this knowledge like nothing else in this world but that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t use it against him. Oh no. She loved using it against him because she always got the cutest reactions from him when she hit the right places. And he had a lot of these places…
“Oh no, Dad. Not in a million years!” she said, laughing happily, as she tried to tickle Lucifer back, but he jumped backwards with a grin and deftly dodged her hand.
“You have to be faster than that, little duckling!”
Even in his still weakened state, Lucifer was faster than her and managed to dodge her again and again, laughing and he tried tickling her back. Charlie's cheerful laughter filled the room within seconds as his hands found her belly this time. A sound as beautiful as no other in his ears and he never wanted to miss it again.
But the more he lost himself in his cheerfulness, the more careless he became.
In the end, his rubber ducks were his undoing, because when he wasn't paying attention, he stepped onto one of them (which let out a loud squeak as if it wanted to protest) and stumbled. Charlie was immediately upon him, throwing herself on top of him and forcing the Seraphim onto his back. Laughing, the two fell into a sea of rubber ducks and Charlie immediately launched a counterattack, straddling his legs and pinning him to the floor with her weight so that he couldn’t get up. Well...at least in her illusion.
They both knew that Lucifer only needed to snap his fingers to make her stop, but he didn't do so, because he was enjoying these silly games just as much as Charlie was and allowed her to tickle him. And this was just the perfect situation for some bonding time between father and daughter. They both needed this badly after everything that had been happening.
The young demoness could hardly contain her laughter as these words came out of her father's mouth with a high-pitched squeal, followed by loud, cheerful laughter as she found the right spots where he was so ticklish that he immediately stopped resisting and tried to protect himself with his arms wrapped tightly around his body. As if this would stop her. Oh please…
“That's the whole point, Dad, it's supposed to tickle,” she teased and the broad, amused grin on her face was finally genuine. Her fingers flew over every ticklish spot she knew, making the king squeal like a child beneath her. Ohh if only the mortals up on earth would know about this. Charlie was sure that they wouldn’t be afraid of the devil anymore if they knew how ridiculously ticklish said devil was.
Laughing loudly and squealing almost like one of his rubber ducks, Lucifer was squirming wildly under her nimble fingers, his legs kicking in the air helplessly, as he desperately tried to protect himself with his arms and failing royally at it.
“No! No! Charlie! Come on... GAH! Oh shihihit! Not there! Oh, pleahahahahahase, nohohohohot there!” he begged as Charlie’s nimble fingers found his lower ribs. A spot he never really protected, whether out of clumsiness or on purpose; none of them knew. The moment Charlie attacked that spot, Lucifer was done for it. His laughter, angelic and cheerful, filled the entire room and could most certainly be heard beyond. But neither of them cared.
Let the other hotel guests hear it.
Let them hear how well Lucifer and his daughter were doing again.
Let them hear that everything was fine between them again.
Let them hear how true happiness sounded; even down here in hell.
“Not where? Here?”
Charlie couldn’t help herself. She had to tease him, because that always made him laugh harder and it worked. She felt joyful tears in her own eyes as a massive snort erupted from Lucifer, which he would deny later, as her hands kneaded his ribs up and down. His body was jumping and bucking, but she didn’t stop.
“F-fuhuhuhucking hell, Chahahahaharlie!”
He tried to sound stern, but his silly laughter quickly deflected this act of his.
“Language, dad!” was the scold he got from his own daughter, who was laughing tears herself by now. To see this powerful angel losing his mind from just a few harmless tickles here and there was worth more than any riches in this world.
“A-as if I would cahahahare for my fuhuhucking language…GAH! Okay, okahahay I am sohohohorry!”
She immediately punished him for using such foul language in her company. Which was ridiculous because she herself could curse like a human sailor in some situations.
Rubber ducks flew through the air as a result of the playful scuffle and whenever Lucifer tried to tickle Charlie back, she took the opportunity to wiggle her fingers into his now unprotected armpits. Immediately, his arms crashed back against his body and another burst of squeaky laughter spilled out of his mouth, his back arching so much that it lost contact with the floor.
“Charlie, please! This…ahahahaha…this is so unfahahahair!” he managed to get out between fits of laughter, tears already glistening under his closed eyelids. But Charlie knew better. If Lucifer had really wanted her to stop, he could have made her do so effortlessly. He was the most powerful being in Hell and not even his own daughter could defeat him in a real fight. Charlie knew that as well as Lucifer himself did. And yet he lay there and allowed her tickle him.
“Unfair? Maybe. But sooooo much fun. I mean…look at how much you’re laughing,” she teased and her grin was going from ear to ear as she wrenched her hands out from under his arms and wiggled her fingers over the sides of his neck, which made him hunch his shoulders up in the most adorable way possible.
“Are you giving up?” she asked him seconds later as he tried to speak but only loud laughter was coming out, her grin widening when he shook his head frantically. Further proof of how much fun he was having, because he didn't want to give up, even though he knew he had long since lost.
So it was time to bring out the big guns then.
“No? You don’t want to give up? Really~?” Charlie asked with that teasing tone in her voice that always made a golden glow appear on the Seraphim's cheeks. She knew how to fluster the King of Hell and loved to use this against him whenever they played like this.
Again the King shook his head and the princess clicked her tongue at that.
“Then you leave me no choice...”
"What do you…AHAHAHAHA!! Oh, my father! Chahahahrlie! Stop it! Not that! You know I cahahahan’t stahahand thahahat!! Oh shihihihit!!"
The powerful Seraph burst out into screaming laughing as Charlie pressed her fingers into his sweater and attacked his belly with wiggling fingers. One of his death spots in terms of tickling.
“I know. That’s why I am doing it. Are you giving up now? Or do I have to keep going?” she asked with a devilish grin, unable to get enough of how happy Lucifer looked. Cute little dimples danced across his face. His grin almost split his face in two, tears glistened in his eyes, his golden hair was a tangled mess and finally he nodded, admitting defeat.
“Okahahahay! I give uhuhuhup, Charlie...pffft-hahahahaha...you win! PLEAHAHAHASE!!”
Lucifer's laughter now got interrupted by adorable hiccups or little coughs. A clear sign to stop, which Charlie did immediately, pulling her hands away and climbing off his legs to give him some space.
Gasping for breath, Lucifer lay among his rubber ducks and wiped some tears from his eyes with his sweater sleeve, before looking up at his daughter and grinning broadly at her when he was finally able to stop laughing like a madman.
“Actually, I should have been the one tickling you, not the other way around,” he remarked, slowly sitting up and brushing his now tousled hair out of his face.
Charlie just shrugged and chuckled softly as she looked at him and how he brushed some rubber ducks off of him. He looked like a mess. But a happy one.
“Know your opponent's weaknesses and use them to your advantage. You taught me that yourself. Remember?”
A low growl escaped from Lucifer's throat.
"I should have taught you something else instead. That was pretty mean. Attacking your poor old man like that...
Her grin widened when she heard these words and she couldn't help but giggle as he glared at her in a playful way.
"We're in hell, dad. Being mean is the order of the day here. And besides, may I remind you that you started it?"
“Oh damn. Touché...”
She helped him back to his feet and then rubbed her upper arm awkwardly before looking at him shyly. And then...she pulled him into a hug, closing her eyes and just holding him tight.
“Thank you for forgiving me,” she whispered softly into his ear and her lips now curved into a sincere smile as the Seraph returned the loving embrace.
“You are my daughter and I will always love you and always be there for you. No matter what or whom stands between us. No one will ever be able to destroy this bond between us. Never forget that, Charlie.”
A small tear fell from Charlie's eye, ran down the bridge of her nose and finally fell onto one of the angel's golden strands.
“I won't forget this, dad. Never. And I love you too…” she whispered before silence enveloped them both.
A comforting silence.
A silence, in which father and daughter could be at peace and forget about all the bad things that had happened in recent weeks.

When I'm tickling you, I can't think of anything better that I could be doing other than tickling you. Every single one of your reactions as you're being tickled, whether it be giggles, laughter, or begging, fills me with joy. I can barely contain my excitement I when I tickle you on that spot that gets you a little bit crazy.
