I’m sorry, but I just really love the idea of a touch starved LWJ and a very affectionate WWX. At first LWJ has a hard time getting used to the kisses and hugs, but as time goes on, he grows to treasure the moments that he can hold WWX. The thought makes my heart melt.

that would be great! I uh, I don’t really contribute much usually (just post the lovely ideas others send), so don’t expect this to happen ever again- but uh, anyway

he’d be very awkward and stumbling over his words even though he’d just spent the last several hours making sure he knows what to say. also the past several days just thinking about what to say to her and imagining himself talking to her. it would include apologies for how he treated her as well as poetic artsy compliments and how much he’s interested in getting to know her and spend time with her now.... and then when he tries to tell her he ends up just staring at her silently, mind blank and panicking, and then just gives her a really awkward and simple/basic compliment.

anyway enjoy imagining jc/wwx hiding in bushes nearby trying to stay hidden to not upset jyl but also wanting to see jzx floundering

wwx and jc stalking jyl and jzx on a date. nearing the end of date, shijie calls them out, telling them to stop hiding in the bushes. jzx had no idea they were there, despite the unsubtleness of wwx and jc. they straight up fell into a pond at one point. jyl knew they were there from the start. wwx and JC again ask her if she really wants to marry this oblivious peacock.

haha I like the trope of one of them being oblivious to the obvious spies! maybe he didn’t notice since he was so focused on yanli, then?

if wwx told jc abt the golden core transfer before he became yiling laozu: yunmeng jiang would probably be protecting yiling under wraps, sending supplies to the mountain once a month, wen yuan would not be a wen (maybe a wei?) then grow up as a jiang disciple, when the wen elders die out & only a handful live in the mass graves (like 10 yrs later? 13?) they would probably have work/houses in yiling or yunmeng & would probably change their names. zhao (wen) qing is to marry sect leader jiang!

I am sorry, but do you suppose in a better MDZS universe, Madam Jiang would be a better person? As in, not as bitter and jealous, but a really strict mum who has to compensate for her husband's over-indulging ways and try her best to get her boys to behave. She really regrets yelling at them but heaven forbid her sons act like a 'babbling, bumbling band of baboons' because they have no one to set them straight.

I could imagine it, yeah! They might still be able to get along if there weren’t the same pressures?
