I was watching Ultraseven when all of a sudden I was flashbanged with the realization Bad Company from Jojo part 4 is probably based on how Alien Chibull's plan revolves around turning toys(including toy planes and tanks) into real weapons

Founded in 1955, Titanomachia is an organization focused on the Study of Kaiju, Aliens and creatures like them.

The foundation is split into several departments, but the most iconic one is the SSSP, a series of attack teams trained to stop Kaiju attacks in the field.

Due to recent events I ended up overthinking a certain toys for bob franchise I deeply care for and came with the realization that the villain plot for both of these pieces of media is literally the exact same

Main villain has a sidekick who he often mistreats but secretly means a lot to the villain in question

Main villain ends up working with an even eviler villain and the two go hand in hand for a bit

The main villain and sidekick have a falling out due to the eviler villain

the main villain, that for all this time simply wanted to just conquer the world, realizes that the eviler villain just wants to destroy it altogether

this makes them fight back against the eviler villain, making them turn a new leaf as the heroes end the eviler villain's plans for good

they both got sequels with the same main villain as before meaning that the character growth they both went through is(probably in the case of eggman) going to be completely forgotten about in the sequel

Oh then I think you’d like Ultraman Cosmos he’s a much more compassionate Ultraman who tries his best to pacify and let Kaijus live in peace between humans.

I love his fighting style too as it’s tai-chi and Wing Chun inspired. Unless he’s dealing with sentient aliens he tries his best not to hurt kaijus as much so seeing him work out solutions to not having to kill Kaijus is fun

What’s your favorite episode of the Showa Ultraman? Mine is “My home is earth” with Jamila such a tragic one there and “Terrifying Cosmic Rays” starring Gavadon just really liked the ending in that one.

Any episodes you have in mind to base Kibou’s heroic journey on?

Sadly got no proper answer for specific episodes due to me really needing to rewatch the og series (I watched a good chunk of it a year or so ago but never finished sadly(though I plan to when I can))

If I were to give a good idea of what Kibou specifically is like I'd say the biggest inspirations were Shin and Rising, Shin mostly for her personality (since I always found the way Shin Ultraman loves and cares for humanity to be really beautiful) and Rising for how she'd treat the monsters themselves, I personally do have a preference for when Kaiju are treated like animals to a certain extent(also due to the spec evo-isms I tend to indulge in) and while Kibou would still fight a monster I feel that unless its an alien she would prefer to deal with them in non-lethal ways whenever possible, it does help her host is meant to be a bit of a kaiju nerd so I like the idea that her geeking out at the idea of meeting a kaiju like Neronga or smth like there's no way she can kill a taser mole like that just look at him
