Well, it was official. He had gotten himself very lost, and he was out in the open. Already a bad combination for someone as small as he was.. Barely two inches tall, and there was nowhere to hide. Wait! Wait, there was something! Yellow feathers! Quickly, he moved to hide now, climbing up into the feathers, climbing until he'd reached the bird's head, finally poking his head out, only to find himself staring face-to-face with a giant! And he froze stiff, staring wide-eyed. He'd been caught.
Boko felt something small in his feathers and kwehed softly to his human companion named Bartz Klauser as they were traveling the world as they did, the human blinked and looked down at the Chocobo.
“Kweh!”
“Hm? What’s up pal? You alright and—-”
The Adventurer’s eyes caught something tiny and green on his friend’s feathers as he focused his sight, wait, was that a human??
“…Okay, You’re quite…small. Are you a Sprite or Pixie? sorry to offend by asking..umm..Sir..?”
Well, it was talking to him. Sure, Nod had learned by now to be patient through the slow speech of Stompers, but.. Wait, was he asking if he was a pixie? Well, no. He wasn’t a pixie, or a sprite. His people were called Jinn, but.. How to communicate that to someone so large? That was the trouble with these speech barriers. He could understand when Stompers spoke, though it was slow and loud.. But he was too small for them to hear him as more than a high-pitched chattering.
Still, he had to answer the question. Looking up at the giant before him, he took a deep breath, but all he could do for an answer was to shake his head. No. He is not a sprite or a pixie. Try again, big man. It had to be a game of yes or no, unless they found another way to communicate. But so far, this Stomper didn’t seem too dangerous. Yet. So, Nod could spend the time trying to talk with him, at least.
