heâs usually a pacifist . or at least , he tries to be . but that last thing cola wants to do is die in the street after surviving two tours in iraq ( not to mention basic training ) . and itâs all happened so FAST but his bag is on the ground , maps , scripts and CDs scattered over the pavement , thereâs a gun in his hand with a man an the other end . on the inside cola is shaking but on the outside he looks like someone whoâs ready to pull the trigger . but he canât put the gun down and he canât open his mouth to say anything . part of him is begging the man not to move because he just , might , do it .

   it took him less than a second to register the GUN, though the same couldnât quite be said for the time used to assess the situation. hesitation amiss, the wing-ding had flown from dickâs hand, slicing through the air and knocking the gun from the manâs hand. his attention quickly circled to the apparent TARGET of the gunman, who had taken to running down the street in the confusion. â not so fast, â he said under his breath, sending one of his escrimaâs at the other. a not so subtle THWACK sounded when his weapon collided hard between the runawayâs shoulder blades. it was apparent that dick didnât exactly know who the guilty party was, but historically, couldnât it be said that the innocent tended not to flee ??Â
