I would agree with you on X and R!! It's probably one of X's kinks, while it's a huge no for R.

I think A is similar to R and leans towards a Hard No as well, they're too reserved and private to appreciate other people watching.

Otoh, I think D would be down for it, but only conditionally. They'd definitely enjoy it, so long as they're not expected to be the more submissive partner in the interaction. They'd need to be in control, they wouldn't appreciate being put on display and made vulnerable to other people otherwise.

I don't think it would bother them, but especially for X whose whole love language revolves around physical touch and affection, they'd need a certain amount of reasonable compromise.

They're totally okay with their partner not wanting to have sex with them, as long as their partner is also okay with X tending to their own needs with self-pleasure/masturbation (or, if in a polyamorous relationship, their partner being okay with them having sex with the other partner without their involvement).

Maybe this is all common sense and stating the obvious, but there are actually people out there who get upset when their partner masturbates lol. So I figured I should explain that just in case. You really gotta let X have an outlet!

For X, they would also need other forms of physical affection like kissing and cuddling to still be part of the relationship--sex-repulsed they can handle, but if the other person didn't want any kind of touching, like being touch-averse, then that relationship wouldn't work out. Physical touch is just too important for them.

It's not as important for the other LIs. Though they still have needs/desire around sex/physical touch, they can work around it similar to X. I'd say R in particular is very open to a partner who is sex-repulsed, or even touch-averse.

The game won’t have a nsfw version, so I’m curious…

Will there be any clues as to when the ROs and the Crown start being intimate? Not actual scenes or explicit references, but clues about it? I am curious, but I know that it would be complex (as there are minors and people not interested, so even having vague hints about it could be tricky, and should be optional).

I hope this doesn’t sound pushy, I am merely curious.

But, if there isn’t going to be anything in game, could you tell us? If you don’t think it spoils too much. I’m pretty sure, also considering the different RO scenes in chapter 8, that X and D are gonna be the first to also get involved physically. I don’t know who would get there first between A and R, but I kind of have a felling that A would be the last. I really hope this question doesn’t bother you, but I thought it would be something interesting to keep in mind while reading the story.

(For example, I am pretty sure that X would get involved physically before being able to face their feelings, and I love the angst.)

Hmm... I don't think I can comment on the LI progression in terms of that. But as for any content that is in game, note that "sexually suggestive content" is part of the warnings so you can expect implications to nsfw scenes as options. With the game rated 16+ I think it’s safe enough to allude to it.

So if the relationship with the LI meets the required points threshold, your player character would probably get an implied choice like

Invite LI to your chambers to spend the night, among other things

Invite LI to your chambers to spend the night to cuddle

So you’d have an implied sexual encounter, and an intimate encounter that isn’t sexual. None of these choices would add or subtract relationship points either; the player can turn down or not offer any implied sexual interactions without fear of losing out on points or missing scenes.

After making the choice, it’d basically be a short lead-in, and then the equivalent of a Fade To Black as the scene automatically skips to the next morning/the aftermath. The text will acknowledge whether your character slept with their LI or not, but it’d be a detail and not discussed explicitly.

Other sexually suggestive content would probably be limited to make-outs and mild stuff like that. It’s not going to shy away from some erotic undertones if the player chooses to go down that route, but of course without it being explicit.

Now that there's no risk of spoilers. Would you be willing to tell us what the plan for sex scenes was mechanically?

I've actually kind of answered this before but I deleted that ask because that was back when I was still intending on writing the nsfw versions, but basically:

During the first nsfw scene where it becomes relevant, you would get the choice to

specify your Crown's genitalia

specify your Crown's sexual history to account for their behavior, i.e. experienced vs inexperienced

if an oral scene, choose to receive or give, accounting also for the LIs gender if giving, and

if penetration is involved, choose to top or bottom

which could possibly also vary depending on whether your Crown/the LI would need a strap or not if they're going to top, or preparation for if they're going to bottom

on top of which your Crown's assertive/passive trait and

flirtatious/reserved trait would also add more variants to how your Crown behaved in a scene, plus

further details and differences accounting for your LI's gender.

One of my mods in the Discord server, sword, very nicely calculated how many eventual variations I would have to write, multiplying this by 4 for each LI, and it amounted to 128 in total.

So you can see why I scrapped these scenes LOL

How would each RO approach a crown telling them it was their first time (before said encounter of course) and looking worried about it? and I mean worried as in: worried it would change the ROs mind/change the ROs perspective, not about the act itself. What would they say?

I mean, you have to understand that virginity doesn't exist as a concept in Arsur, so the Crown wouldn't have such worries to begin with.

They wouldn't be embarrassed or concerned about how they're perceived for their inexperience because it literally isn't a factor whatsoever in Arsurian culture, nor does it have any negative or positive connotations. The Crown wouldn't have reason to think that them being a virgin would be a problem for any of the LIs, because it’s assumed by default that it wouldn't be, and it isn’t.

If the Crown were to mention it being their first time, it'd probably be to let their LI know that they need to be shown the ropes--but then again, it's similar to when you have had sex before but you want to have sex with a new partner, because everyone has individual preferences.

So in reality the conversation would be a very simple "by the way, I haven't done this before" - "oh that's alright, we can explore what you like/I can show you what I like" and that would be the end of it lol

All of them see sex as a way to share intimacy and as a way to bond with their partner, but some do so more often than others 🤔

R hasn’t been the most approachable for other people in the past, so they don’t really have experience with casual sex or sex purely for stress relief - it’s always been during relationships (albeit varying in commitment; they’ve been in open relationships before as well as closed ones). They wouldn’t be opposed to it; especially in a relationship they’d definitely be up for quickies lmao. But for the most part R treats sex as a way to share intimacy and as a part of romance with a partner.

A, back when they were in the army, would sometimes seek out casual encounters for stress relief, especially in their early 20s. Now, though, they don’t really have the time for that; when they feel attracted to someone, they’d rather pursue a stable relationship, so the sex would also be more about intimacy and expressing their feelings for their partner.

X and D are kind of in the same boat where they’re both very open to using sex as stress relief, or just casual encounters with people they find attractive - one of them is just much louder/more public about it than the other lol. I feel like they’re both also on the upper end in terms of libido; R and A also have a pretty good amount of it, but I would say they’re more average; not as much as X and D.

X is also very particular in that they express their feelings the most through physical touch, which includes (but is not limited to) sex, so for them the whole physical aspect is especially important in a relationship.

D also enjoys sex as a way to bond with their partner, but I feel like it doesn’t rank as important to them compared to other types of bonding, if that makes sense. They get more emotional fulfillment through conversation, spending time together, sharing experiences, acts of service, etc.

what are the LIs favorite positions? and what are they proudest of in bed??

One of the nice things about not actually having to write the coding nightmare that would've been the nsfw scenes is that I can now answer these without worry for spoilers lol

To clarify also, when I refer to the LIs as topping or bottoming, I mean that regardless of their or their partner's gender. So for example, when I say an LI prefers to bottom, that means they would also prefer to get pegged with a strap if their partner doesn't have the natural equipment, regardless of their partner's gender. Just to clarify that we're not operating with cis-hetero norms here!

Moving onto the ask:

D strongly prefers to top, and I'd say their favorite position as a top would be them standing while their partner is lying down facing them on a table or other raised surface, with their legs either around D's waist or up to D's shoulders. Since D tends to be (quite a bit) taller than their partners, this really helps with height differences, but also would work really well if they're of equal height too.

They can also bottom occasionally, though they'd be less in the mood for it compared to topping. As a bottom, I think they'd prefer missionary, actually. It's a convenient position for them no matter the height of their partner, it's easily modified, and they enjoy the intimacy of it.

A has a preference for topping, but they enjoy bottoming as well. As a top, they'd really enjoy a spooning position, with their chest to their partner's back. They like the easy access to kiss their partner's neck/face, as well as being able to reach around easily to please their partner as well.

As a bottom they like a lowered form of doggy style, with their partner leaning over their back - A's back is a very sensitive spot, if you remember that from a previous ask I answered. A also gets a bit shy when they're bottoming, so they appreciate being able to hide their face lol

X has a preference for bottoming, but they enjoy topping as well. They're probably the only one I couldn't give a solid favorite position. As a bottom, I'd say they'd prefer any position where their partner can grab onto their hips or pull them by it - their hips are a sensitive spot for them.

As a top, I also don't think they have a particular favorite position, but they do have a preference of being able to see their partner's face and their reactions while topping. So, they probably prefer any face-to-face position... or the use of a mirror, LOL

R strongly prefers to bottom, but I actually think their favorite position overall would be an oral one. They do enjoy penetration, but I think they'd enjoy giving/receiving oral even more, so their fav would probably be something like a sideways 69. It's not as taxing as the typical 69 and allows more easy touching/caressing. Aside from that, as a bottom, I think they’d appreciate pretty much any position that allows for a lot of eye-contact and intimacy.

As a top, they'd definitely prefer having their partner riding them - be it with R seated or lying down, whichever is more convenient. Not because they're a lazy top or anything; R is very enthusiastic and eager to please, but they'd definitely need direction and rhythm/pace cues from their partner to feel confident at it. Topping doesn't come naturally to them lmao

I don't think the LIs have anything they're particularly "proud" of in bed 🤔 X might brag about their skills or their stamina just to be a menace, but that's about it lmao

Hello! I saw that you were (maybe) planning poly routes, with the options listed being R/A, A/X, and X/D. I read that the reasoning why D/R won't be an option is because of the age/ experience gap, is there a non-spoilerly reason why A/D or R/X might not be an option? I'm all flustered over all of them, but I want to be respectful about my head cannons as I plan out potential future groups for my crown. Thank you! D/R is definitely just a big No due to the gap in experience and maturity, so it makes me uncomfortable and I'd rather not see any depictions of it, but for the other two it's mostly personality reasons!

No matter the circumstances I simply don't think A/D and R/X would be romantically interested in each other, their personalities clash too much or don't match up well

For R/X, they have a more sibling-type of relationship. R mostly views X as vaguely annoying, way too extroverted, and exhausting to be around. X thinks R is too uptight, kind of a nerd, and also a little too inexperienced for their tastes. They're also in very different stages of their lives. R wouldn't get the reassurance they need from X, and X wouldn't get the patience they need from R.

For A/D they're more, like... work colleagues I guess? I feel like if you put them in a romantic relationship they wouldn't last long and drift apart really quickly, they'd get caught up in their work and forget about each other LOL. I just don't see there being any spark or chemistry to be honest.

R/A, A/X and X/D were the ones I could envision as actually being possible because they balance each other out, already have a well-established history together, and have a chemistry that I could easily see turning romantic if given an opportunity!

There have been a lot of asks about what the ROs like but what would be a hard no for them just so we know what not to do in fan content?

I've also gotten asks about what turn-offs they would have so I'll just answer that in this one as well!

Anything involving bodily fluids outside the usual, including blood, would be a major turn off.

Similarly, rough play that involves actual injuries to the point where you get deep bruising or deep cuts. Minor bruises and scratches are okay.

Some choking is fine, but anything that goes into outright asphyxiation is a hard no.

Dirty talk is okay, but I don't think any of them would enjoy being insulted--especially with gendered terms like 'slut', 'bitch' or 'whore' because... well aside from the fact that those words don't exist in the Arsurian language, if they did the LIs still wouldn't be into being called that or calling the MC that, even at the MC's request.

Similarly... words like 'daddy' LOL

And lastly, (roleplaying) scenarios that would be considered a crime.

Mind you I'm not saying to police what other people do or don't do with fan content. This is just me stating what their canon turn-offs would be since anon asked.

They've all experienced both things, though in varying amounts.

X has definitely had the most sex, but D also has their fair share of experience--it might surprise you to find out they're pretty close in how many people they've hooked up with in the past. They've also had serious relationships, but those have been few and far in between.

A and R don't do casual sex unlike the other two, but they've both had serious relationships before in the past, so they've had plenty of experience as well.

I’d say that A and X are the most flexible, since they have more time to train and work out. Both of them, but especially A, are more agile in their combat styles compared to someone like D, so flexibility is always a good skill to have. In X’s case, I’d say they probably work on their flexibility at least in part so that they can show off in the bedroom lol

R, despite not being as physically strong as the other three, is also surprisingly flexible because they enjoy doing a lot of stretches (complicated ones, too) to relax after a long day or to start the day off with. Since they spend most of their time doing administrative things, sitting behind a desk, pouring over books while researching, etc, it helps prevent stiffness - and it’s also a nice bonus for other things, of course ;)

D is still pretty flexible compared to the average person, since they like to train a lot whenever they’re not working, but it’s not one of their strong suits. If it’s specifically for the bedroom, though... they could accomodate the Crown if asked

Are priests expected to be celibate in terms of not having a romantic relationship and not having sex or is that not the case in the world of atoc. I was wondering this since the mc's father is a priest but had a relationship with the mc's mother and they had a child (mc). Also wondered this because X fell in love with someone in the past and they became a priest. I thought they turned X down because they had to commit to such rules. I might have it wrong of course, I just really love your worldbuilding and I cant get enough of the information you decide to share with us <3. ps I hope you are okay with me asking a worldbuilding question on the nsfw page. The person X was involved with is a priest (formerly prince/princess) from Qathesh, where being a priest is basically a duty that takes up your entire day and a lifelong appointment. So, less to do with celibacy, more with “wow they disliked you so much they’d rather turn to the priesthood for 24/7 the rest of their lives huh”. I imagine a few priests would choose to remain celibate purely to focus on their duties, but it’s not a requirement.

In Arsur, on the other hand, it would be considered downright strange for a priest (or anyone) to be celibate for religious reasons, rather than because they’re simply uninterested or are asexual. There are no expectations of celibacy in any of the cultures within Arsur, and priests are not expected to be involved with priesthood their whole day; their focus is more on being part of the community that they serve!
