Destruction of Bonnie Theory
Alright one day I got bored and decided to play detective with Bonnie's "death"
Long thread under the cut
First thing I did was analyze the body. Now while there is indication Bonnie was beaten that unfortunately doesn't pinpoint a direct culprit. Neither does the weapon used to take him out - the Bowling Ball. As anyone could have grabbed one to hit Bonnie with it.
For now focus on the rug.
Now I know you're about to say "Excuse me it's Monty, that rug is from Monty golf! Monty used it to drag Bonnie's body from Monty Golf after he destroyed him!"
but there's two flaws with that hypothesis.
Look carefully at how Bonnie is laid out, yes he's in pieces, but it's like he was destroyed on top of the rug. That and look at the rugs design carefully. It is hard too see because it's damaged but let me show you similar rugs in the Pizzaplex.
These two images are from the East Arcade, and Bonnie Bowl. Two locations Bonnie was stated to be in before he disappeared.
but there is one other location he went to.
This is the rug from Monty Golf.
Now if you look carefully at the rug Bonnie is on. You will notice the ribbon is green and yellow. Which matches with the design of the rug from either the East Arcade or Bonnie Bowl.
Monty Golf howevor has green and blue ribbons.
So for a fact we know a rug from Monty Golf was not used.
While it doesn't appear the rug was used to move his body. Unfortunately I don't know what it was for. I speculate that Bonnie was doing something either in Bonnie Bowl or the East Arcade that had him getting a carpet to move or hide something, but what it would be and why eludes me.
Let's move on to the second evidence. This mark. Now a popular theory is that this is from a Bowling Ball hitting the wall. I would disagree. Look at the staff bot pieces directly below it.
I believe this mark was from our victim Bonnie, who, while being attacked by staff bots he managed to bash one into the wall. Before a different one - or our true culprit hit him with the bowling ball to take him out.
Now I know what you might think "Wouldn't the staff bot be there, and not bits of it?"
well it was moved.
Time to point out another thing I noticed that really indicated Bonnie was attacked in Bonnie Bowl, and not in Monty Golf.
This is a charging station you can find near Bonnie's "room". Notice how it looks like it was pried open. I think Bonnie was forcibly ripped out of this charging port and was then dragged to where he perished.
Actually lets go back to that room. One thing I noticed was a path being made to allow someone to crawl into the vent easily.
I also noticed that every opening aside from the one used to get into the room is blocked by wood panels. Which were installed from the inside.
you can also see a similar barricade near where Bonnie's charging port is. Almost as if someone wanted to prevent anyway for anyone to access this area easily.
So while I do think Bonnie was sealed away. It's a very simple answer.
Wood panels were used to block off areas.
there's even an attempt to block anyone from coming in from the stage. Although considering that is an obstacle Cassie can use her Mask to bypass. Take it with a grain of salt.
but wait. Bonnie was last scene in Monty Golf, and he was in Rock Star Row at the time. NOT in Bonnie Bowl.
“SECURITY REPORT - 12:24AM - Bonnie is seen leaving his green room in Rockstar Row heading East towards the atrium. 2:40AM - Bonnie enters the East Arcade. 4:12AM - Bonnie enters Monty Golf.” — MISSING,
Well I'm going to show something that might indicate this message isn't referencing Bonnie having gone missing entirely. Just missing at that moment.
Look at this rack of Bowling Balls. In a room that was blocked off to anyone ever since Bonnie was destroyed. Notice the Monty Bowling ball? With a Monty Glamrock design and wearing Bonnie's glasses? This proves that Monty was a Glamrock, and replaced Bonnie BEFORE Bonnie was destroyed. As Monty received these glasses from Bonnie when he joined the band.
further proof of this is that the backside of the Bowling Alley was retrofitted to be Bonnie's new Green Room when Monty took over his old one. Also the charging port being nearby too.
Anyways slightly off topic, but remember the in universe explanation for why Monty joined the band? How Bonnie "retired" and let Monty replace him? It's partially true.
Bonnie did "retire" and as part of the rebrand. Monty was given his glasses and all old Bonnie merch was changed to reflect this. It's also why in HW2 you have both Monty with glasses, and Bonnie without glasses bowling balls in his mini game.
Essentially Bonnie went from being in the band to being regulated as a side attraction in Bonnie Ball. However during that time he was still active while Monty was a Glamrock in the band.
Which means that Missing message has to take place before the change took in effect. As well. If he was destroyed and went missing. Why bother decorating his new greenroom at all?
also I know people might be thinking "Um this room could've existed while Bonnie also had his Green Room" the thing is. Why is this the only exception? Monty Golf doesn't feature a similar backup room for Monty despite having a stage. Neither does Roxy Raceway, Chica's Bakery, Mazercise, or Fazerblast. All of them have ONE room in Rockstar row. Even the Daycare and DJ have a single "room".
It's likely Monty used to have a similar room in Monty Golf, but that was changed when he became a Glamrock and took over Bonnie's old room.
also, even if you disagree with that speculation. The fact that the Bowling Ball featuring Monty in his Glamrock look w/glasses can be found in that room that was sealed. Proves that he was a Glamrock before Bonnie went missing.
Which does defunct the major motive Monty would have to destroy Bonnie. To get into the band. He wouldn't need to. He's already a part of it.
actually aside from Monty, I can also take away some other culprits. This is more of a narrative stance. Yes I am trying to solve this by looking at clues in universe, but this is also a story. When you set up a murder mystery. You usually have suspects that were foreshadowed.
So here's the order from least to most likely
Cassie - I really doubt it. Also what would her motivation be at all?
Chica - There's nothing to show her connection to Bonnie's destruction. It would honestly be a lame twist if she was.
Sun/Moon - I mean less bullshit if they're the culprit than Chica, but also nothing showed they had any connection to Bonnie.
Roxy - Well she has green nails, and Bonnie's body has this green substance on it. Plus thanks to HW2 we know Roxy wears fresh nail polish/paint. There's a possibility she could be the true culprit. Only I have a counter.
Look closely at Bonnie's chest and the green part on his chest. Now look at his cut out.
That green mark is his gold star after oxidization.
This image of him lets you see the star design better. I've even marked it.
This green mark isn't from Roxy's nails - or Monty's green shell. It's from the star on Bonnie's chest. Which because we can see it faded and cracked was likely a gold paint. Which because of the conditions Bonnie's body was stored in. Oxidized into a greenish color
Which means. Roxy isn't a viable candidate anymore.
Although I'm keeping her rank here because at least I did briefly consider her. Even if I don't think she did it.
Now back to the list
Monty - Narrative wise he is the strongest, but from what I've gathered. He makes the least sense as the culprit. Almost everything that connected him to destroying Bonnie can be debunked or isn't that strong. I really think he is meant to be a red herring. An "obvious" easy answer. If anything - I think it's part of Monty's character in the Pizzaplex. He's supposed to be the rival to Bonnie. The aggressive rock and roller. One of the books even shows that he is meant to destroy things as part of his act. What made it weird and showed something was wrong was his demeanor becoming depressive afterwards.
but I have a theory for how Monty could be the culprit.
Monty and Bonnie are supposed to be rivals. With Monty taking potshots at him. However -that's just part of the act. Then one day the Glitchtrap virus got to Monty. I won't go over the details here, but one thing I noticed about the Glamrocks. is that it appears the Glitchtrap virus flanderized them. Roxy went from competitive to being obsessed with being the best. Chica went from a big eater to a glutton eating literal trash. Monty went from someone who had a rivalry with Bonnie and would smash things as part of his act. To becoming genuinely dangerous and saw Bonnie as a threat to be put down.
The thing is - I wouldn't say Monty is guilty because of this. He had a virus mess with his mind. It's like Freddy was willing to help Gregory, but would still kill him because of circumstances related to his programming.
Which is why I think you have things showing Monty being a bit depressed. Why he skips the main shows to be alone on the catwalks. Why his destructive tendencies became more real and ends with him in a depressive state. From his perspective the rivalry with Bonnie was just an act, but for some reason he decided to destroy him, and he isn't sure why. All he can do is lash out in frustration and guilt at what he did. Yes he's guilty, but he's not evil. If it wasn't for Vanny and the virus he would have never hurt Bonnie.
now for the next possible culprit, and if you think that Monty theory was possibly tragic. Yeah this is even worse.
and this is who I think the true culprit is too.
Vanny/Vanessa/Freddy - For starters. Vanny had the easiest access to Bonnie. As this door in Bonnie Bowl is the door to Vanny's lair in Fazerblast.
She also had a remote to control the Staff Bots, an while the canonical ending to Security Breach is apparently - whatever - the strongest one appears to be the Princess Quest ending where Vanny uses the staff bots to dismantle Freddy.
Speaking of Freddy. In the route where you go underground he has a small speech. In it he says Vanny made him do things. Even when he didn't want to. All while being aware.
What would be more tragic - and also make Vanny a great villain -Than forcing Freddy to help her dismantle Bonnie? Who knows why she did it. It could've been requested by Glitchtrap. Bonnie might've put up a resistance to the virus or something else. Whatever it was. Bonnie had to go.
So she used her personal slave Freddy to rip Bonnie out his charging port, and then had her staff bots drag him behind the lanes. While Bonnie was able to fight back for a bit. It was just one good hit from Vanny using a bowling ball that sealed his fate. Vanny blocked off the room, and crawled out with the remaining Staff bots after making a path for them.
all while Freddy was a prisoner in his own body. Forced to be an accomplice in the destruction of the animatronic he cared about deeply.
The true culprit of his crime.
Vanny/Vanessa with Freddy as an unwilling accomplice.
anyways hope you enjoyed this long thread.
