Context cause this is for an AU I haven’t really talked about ever: SB and Ecko are on opposing sides in a war. Ecko is apart of the “anti-kindness” side and SB is apart of the “Pro kindness” side though he doesn’t try to support it and is trying to break away from squid and kindnesses control.

Sb, feeling guilty, leaks to Ecko that he is being tasked to Kill Justin, the head chief on the Anti kindness side and Ecko’s right hand/best friend. Ecko starts doubting their secret love and all the times they met up in secret at night.

I was a bit hesitant to post this because I know I can't draw people, but I wanted to participate in the bingo and I figured I could use this to practice drawing humans. I decided to draw ThnxCya. Him and Dan are my favorite members and I didn't want to struggle with the facial features 😅

I gave him pins and tried to put some bee embroidery on his hood, though the design still looks a little flat to me. I'll probably figure out what to fix if I decide to draw him again.

sb saying “i don’t need rek” but when he was deliberating on betraying rek, he thought of what he said to pili about how “if you betray someone, you can’t team with them again”. he said “if i betray rek, i won’t be able to team with him again”. he said “it would be the end of sb and rekrap”. and the thought was so unbearable to him that he instead decides to betray the entire server instead. like oh okay

sb had Sooo many agonizing realizations in yesterday's stream. of course it's wild that the conclusion he lands on is "betray every single person to keep rek by my side" but what i found even more interesting was how he deliberated leading up to it. something that sb does— and i think a Lot of rek's teammates have done historically— is take advantage of rek. rek is a good teammate. he's chill, he doesn't fuss, and you don't have to Worry about him. he does so much and he does it so easily that it just becomes so normal to you

that one Million percent happened to sb, at least briefly. he uses pili building the base for him as a reason to stick by pili's side and then he abruptly realizes "but rek built me a base too." rek has built him Several, actually. but once he realizes that and he gets to thinking about how much rek has done for him, how much of rek he's taken advantage of, that's when he flips into that "betray everyone for rek" mindset.

and how could you Not? rek gives his teammates the world. he's never betrayed a soul. he's endlessly loyal and kind and he Does So Much. sb talking about how he and rek have been through so much together and then thinking about what that "so much" entails was enough to not just banish any thought of betraying rek from his mind, but to entirely flip it on its head. i hate them

I've been watching a lot of Lifesteal SMP as part of this newfound Minecraft hyperfixation and just... Team Apocalypse are kinda hilarious as villains of this most recent season. Because yeah. Sure. You have MinuteTech, who is just generally known to be Good At The Game and ClownPierce who is perhaps one of Minecraft's most feared PVPers... But they have hardly been logging on this season!

And then you have SB737 who just... If you watch his videos about this latest season of Lifesteal, it's clear that he's really just a penguin who really REALLY likes reloading the End Gates lol. And then you have rekrap2... A generally peaceful player who's mostly a speedrunner... And who has the disposition of a golden retriever!

Like... At least SB is known to be an exploiter and to have started the Mace War last season! So even though he has an exceedingly non-intimidating skin at least that's SOME intimidation factor under his belt! But with rekrap being a villain, even the people opposing Team Apocalypse mostly just feel bad about having to kill him! And that's kinda hilarious!

Just... The contrast of...

Team Apocalypse: We need to destroy everything at spawn. We need to create weapons of mass destruction and kill anyone attempting to go to The End.

Rekrap: True... But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to make friends! :D We shouldn't be too mean! We may need these Shuklers, but we can give them the materials back for their build! And sure, Mapicc may have jumped me in the past, but since we're in The End now and have an excess of Shulker Boxes... I'll give Mapicc a birthday gift of Shulker Boxes! :D And yeah, we might be trapping The End spawn and killing as many players as we can to protect The End dimension... But I did make this nice "Welcome" sign! And I hope they think that my "End Civilization" build is cool!!! :D

But also in contrast to other villains Lifesteal has had like... An undead Prince who toys with the lives of others, creates fates worse than death for them, and possesses others' bodies (who later decides to become a pacifist); various exploiters and hackers; and the Bacon who got corrupted by the Skulk... The Murder Team who built a Death Star which also includes the penguin who keeps respawning the End Portals and friendly speedrunner who just wishes the best for you... Very funny. I dig it.

I was watching a bit of SB737's stream yesterday and... Just.... I feel like I need to make an alignment chart for Lifesteal members now...

Because... Like... SB, you may not want to admit it, but you're pretty much Chaotic Neutral. Being "Good" and "Evil" in the D&D alignment chart is more easialy understood as a dynamic of basically selfish vs selfless. SB, you're neither exceptionally selfish nor selfless which makes you neutral on that axis. Within Lifesteal, a good way to conceptualize that is like... Would you ever give your hearts to someone else who needed them more than you? "Yes, definitely!" is the Good answer. "No. Absolutely not. Never." is the Evil answer. "It depends. Maybe?" Is the neutral answer.

Meanwhile Lawful vs Chaotic has mostly to do with wether you follow a code or belief system strongly or not. It's hard to think of like... A particularly easy example scenario, but like... ClownPierce is actually a pretty interesting case study...? I'm watching Kaboodle's "How to Catch a Liar in Minecraft" video right now, and she puts it in a great way. Clown doesn't just kill for killing's sake. There's always reasons behind his actions. He's certainly more on the evil than good side (in Minecraft of course). If someone came to him, begging for one of his hearts, he would probably not do it unless there was a damn good reason for him to. But also... If you watch his videos, it's very clear that Clown has VERY strong convictions when it comes to Lifesteal! It just so happens that those convictions... Mostly have to do with the state of nature for Lifesteal being chaos and violence....... So... Like... I think that Clown is actually Lawful Evil! It just so happens that the code he follows is one that promotes chaos and violence...... But also Clown's general tendancy towards loyalty and "It's just business" mercenary mentality also point to him being Lawful Evil... Contrast to Rekrap who is pretty much Chaotic Good...? Rekrap seems to just genuinely enjoy doing things for the sake of the group regardless of wether he gets anything personally out of it or not. He dislikes hurting other people wether that's killing other players, or griefing builds that people have worked very hard on! That aligns him to being Good, generally speaking. But why does he do the things he does? For fun. Cause it'd be cool. There's not a strong ethic behind what he does other than he feels like it. And what he does is pretty Chaotic in nature too.

To round out Team Apocalypse...... MinuteTech is pretty hard to pin down... But weirdly I'm kinda inclined to say that he's Good......? He seems perfectly content to do thankless work for the sake of everyone, but it's harder to pin down wether he does that because he's selfless or if it's out of firmly held beliefs... He DOES seem to have some strongly held convictions after all! But I have yet to figure out what that code he has is, if he has one at all... And it's hard to reckon those convictions with his other deadly and mercenary tendencies... So... Like... I feel like he's either Lawful Evil where he tends to operate selfishly, but has strong convictions about community, teamwork, and working for the good of everyone... Or he's Chaotic Good, but not in a wacky, silly way like Rekrap, but rather where he is working towards the good of everyone, but his methodology is odd and chaotic.... I presently don't know...

So... Uh..... Should I try to make more of an alignment chart on more Lifesteal SMP characters...? (Again, this is more about how they conduct themselves in-game, not who they are in real life. Obviously.) Does anyone else have any thoughts on this...?
