You see the threats being formed by secret agents

You no longer ignore

the subtle signs

You explore

Every lead God delivered to

your front door

Frightened by the gift inside

embrace your peculiar design

And

Trust, you were sent here to thrive

Every obstacle passed

Every mountain climbed

Walking without fear

Head held high

Observing nature’s omens to navigate life

When you’re protected, it’s a sense of knowing

In the land of milk and honey, flowing

In my eyes they read confident

In theirs I read intimidated

They said, “who she think she is?”

I heard, “admiration”

They stood in my way

I walked through like Casper

As friendly as can be

avoiding my hello

they’d walk faster

They smelled my perfume

Next week, I smelled it too

After my query, they’d reply

“Ain’t nobody try’na be like you!”

Haters are people who see what they lack

Always critical because the condition of their mentality is wack!

Upon meeting me

They saw my light

And by their own being dim

They couldn’t understand why I shined so bright

Blinded by jealousy

They started drawing their own conclusions

Picking me apart

Amusing themselves at my expense

Mad because I never allowed my business to trickle down the grapevine

Always shady cause they were eclipsed by my shine

I hope they all discover that I’m the issue

I hope the answer to the problem is me

Maybe then they’ll leave me alone

Caught up in drama I could never foresee

Caught up in drama I didn’t cause

Caught up in drama that I effect

Infectious this drama is

Now it’s started to spread

In my mind got me thinking I’m as twisted as they’re portraying

But why not exclude me in general?

Why involve me?

Oh, it’s the fake narrative they gotta somehow make true

And what do I expect from people who have nothing else to do.

I’m sitting in the pharmacy area in Walmart

waiting on my oil change

and in front of me is boxes of boost glucose control balanced nutritional drink

and it’s got me thinking

how there’s meaning in everything

you’ve just gotta see the silver lining

sitting next to it is the same branded box except it says max protein

HOLD ON, STAY WITH ME

let me help you overstand the message God is sending

In times when we are unstable God will send you people, a song or even a box to give you a boost

because gaining control over your life always starts with you

and in doing so, you can reap the benefits

that’s called balance

maximizing your productivity, reduce stressing

cause just like protein, you’ll have more energy

prioritize things

even stop people pleasing

it is what it is

cause in the name of self-care

you’ve gotta make good decisions

Girl Bullies…

I see what you’re doing and I beg you to stop

The looks

The laughs

Stares where there’s none to walk

Just stationary

There’s literally nowhere else for your thoughts to go

So running into brick walls

And turning the same four corners

Boxed in

Anger begins to lock in

And frustrated, you wrestle with the idea of breaking free

How to break free

And like a light bulb you begin to make up things

Thinking

Hoping

That the right lie will lead you down a path to freedom in the name of justification

And it does….

So you run with the stuff you make up

It isn’t too long before you become weary though

All those lies helped you fail to realize that you were in this battle alone

Adrenaline fueled endurance only lasts so long

Upon meeting me

You saw my light

And by your own being dim

You couldn’t understand why I shined so bright

Blinded by jealousy

You started drawing your own conclusions

Picking me apart

Amusing yourself at my expense

Mad because I never allowed my business to become yours

Never stooping to your level

Cause I could care less about evening the score

The light that shone from me

unexpectedly

exposed something you thought you buried deep…. your insecurities.

I know I make you feel subconscious

and that’s your problem

I’ve also been there before

So I can help you solve it

That burden was heavy

Now I’m light as a feather

Finally got this off my chest

Now I feel better

I say I’m tired of the gossip

but still, I listen

I say I’m tired of the lies

but still, I condone them

I say I’m tired of the unfair treatment

yet still, I excuse people’s actions

They say when you know better, do better

if you want better, expect better

You won’t listen to foolishness, condone or excuse

You’ll stand firm in your boundaries because it benefits you

You won’t tolerate the distractions because it subtracts from you

Fulfilling your purpose

Energy misused

The path is narrow, don’t get it confused

The light at the end of the tunnel is an evolved version of you

How exciting it must be to dream a dream that takes you on an adventure that scares you.

To experience your subconscious mind in such a way that only you could imagine.

Free flowing and turbulent

Nostalgic and foreign

Defying the laws of density

That’s what you gon think about

That’s what you gon speak about

you can be who you wanna be 

except for a wannabe 

an imposter 

will get spotted eventually 

on blast for others to see 

the truth...finally free

spiritual food do you eat?

I find it hard to believe that your words are meaningless

rooted in the air

inspired by nothingness

so, would it be safe to say that you lack emotion?
