she didn’t mind lending a helping hand, she could only hope that if she was in the strangers position, she’d do her best to offer assistance as well. “ it mostly looks like it’s sticking to one spot, with a few small little spots everywhere else, so i’d say you can easily save this shirt, ” anita stated, giving the other a small nod. “ you should be just fine once we get it out of your shirt, ” she reconfirmed, giving the woman a slight nod. “ really i think you’ll be fine, but there’s also a clothing store nearby, so you could always go and get a new shirt if you’re too worried about it. ”

jane nodded her head at the other’s explanation. a sigh of relief passing her lips. “thank god for that.” she said softly, looking down at everything and popping open the cap and pressing it to one of the smaller sections first, attempting to make sure it would work. she didn’t want to try it on the bigger stain first just in case it didn’t seem to work out well. “that’s true. i just don’t want to think that the shirt is ruined. maybe if i think it’ll get fixed with this, then i won’t need to go shopping.” she said with a light shrug of her shoulders.

allison liked to go out at night when she couldn’t sleep, which just happened to be most nights, and practice her archery. she enjoyed the peace and quiet she found while doing it, she never had to worry about anything out there, which brought her a sense of comfort. she nodded, giving jane another small smile. “ yeah, nature can be pretty nice and peaceful. ” she canted her head slightly, furrowing her brows. “ why’d you go into the practical teaching part of it instead of the actual science field ? ”

"i agree. i like to think about the big expanse of nature as well, the skies and everything as a whole.” jane explained with a smile. the skies had always been something that she loved, she wished she could study them further, but with her teaching job she had to do it in her spare time instead of just full time. “money, mainly. it’s more practical and it’s a steady income. whereas being a scientist, like what i’d want to do with the research i’d dream of, it’s not entirely practical to pay the bills always.”

bubbles wanted to do something nice for her friend, she didn’t think she was going to have this much of a difficult time making decisions on what to buy for her. as marnie showed her two bracelets, she found herself fascinated, they were beautiful, and she definitely thought getting both of them would be a good idea. “ i think i wanna get both of those, ” bubbles said, nodding slightly. “ but could you tell me what they mean and what their energies are ? i’m curious. ” she genuinely was, too. she wanted to pick out nice things, and be aware of what she was getting. she imagined this was a nice place to work, she got the impression that it would be hard to be truly bored, especially with so many books at a persons disposal and all the interesting items throughout the shop. “ don’t worry, my lips are sealed, ” she stated, laughing softly. 

marnie nodded as she picked out the two bracelets, pulling out the strings that she could hold with the clasps and holding them out to the customer with a smile. “the purple, amethyst. it’s supposed to bring peace. a lot of people use it to help them with sleep if they have trouble with dreams, or sleeping in general.” she then gestured to the other gemstone. “and opal typically can be used for protection or stability.” she nodded her head with a smile, hoping that her explanations helped everything. smiling, marnie looked back at the books. “do you know if your friend has any particular interest in anything? we might have a book on it or something. i could check?”

anita loved her coffee, she functioned much better with it than she did without it. she nodded at the other’s words, a friendly smile spreading across the redheads lips. “ sure, that sounds like the perfect spot to go for some coffee. shall we ? ”  she asked, moving to rise to her feet and waited for the other to follow.

laney nodded her head, standing up just after anita did. “yes. let’s!” she said with a grin. she collected her things into her canvas bag and followed the other with a shrug of her shoulders. “so, do you like regular coffee? or do you like one of the fancy flavors?”

“ california ? “ the blonde asked curiously as she blinked a few times at the female. aurora was still trying to understand where she was and hadn’t had time to learn about states within the country. “ that is definitely different but it’s unique and you know that your parents put thoughts into your name, “

“yeah, it’s on the other side of the country from where we are now. we’re on the east coast. it’s on the west coast.” she explained with a light nod of her head, shrugging her shoulders. she expected that people weren’t from here, but sometimes she didn’t know where people were from when she met them--they seemed to come from a lot of different places. “i suppose you’re right.” she said with a nod. “what about you? where are you from?”

brandon wanted to get back to where he belonged, but if that wasn’t possible quite yet, he at least wanted his friends, and he’d prefer to see bloom with her memories, than without them. he nodded at her words, sure she meant them sincerely. after all, he’d always known bloom to be someone who was compassionate and down to earth, so she struck him as the honest type. brandon nodded, running a hand through his hair. “ okay, that sounds good to me. it’s nice that the places here allow pet rabbits, too. ” he stated, not even fully registering the fact bloom didn’t say kiko was a rabbit, but he had hoped that perhaps that would lead her to believe he was telling her the truth about where she was from.

"oh, well, they know kiko will pretty much stay in my lap.” she said, looking down at the carrier that she had him in right then. she always took him with her on her days off--she knew that he didn’t love being cooped up in the apartment alone, and who could blame the creature for that, really. she’d hate it too. she stood up and picked up the case, looking down at him and then up at brandon. “do you know the way to the bakery? or should i show you?” she asked.

alberto gets a chuckle out of her last few words. “yeah, i remember the days … sitting beside my goldfish’s bowl while he looked at me with those big beady eyes.” the boy smirks to himself, fond memories rushing back to him. “does he, uh, know any tricks?”

“oh? do you still have fish? or not anymore.” she asked with a shrug. “i don’t know what i’d do without kiko, but i’ve always thought of getting more pets.” bloom was definitely an animal person. she loved nature and animals. “oh, he can do a few things. i’ve got a little rabbit course at home that he loves to run, but i can get him to do it on command.” she said, and then she looked down at the rabbit. “but he also has a bit of a mind of his own, so i don’t like to tell him what to do all the time.”

this was probably one of the most frustrating moments in stella’s life; she wasn’t use to people not remembering and didn’t like the fact that bloom didn’t remember her. “ you’re going to remember whether you like it or not and i’m going to help you. we are going to do all the stuff we use to and see if that helps, “ the blonde was a force to be reckoned with.

bloom blinked at stella and looked at her, “well, that sounds...interesting? i’m not sure what i’m supposed to be remembering.” bloom said with a shrug of her shoulders. but she felt like there was no use in arguing with the blonde who claimed to be her friend, she seemed rather determined.

“ that’s true, but at least now we have the technology available to provide light at any hour someone might need it, ”  prue pointed out, offering nesta a slight shrug. prue was glad she wasn’t from the times where they didn’t have technology, as someone who used it regularly to function, she didn’t want to know what life had been like back in those days. “ i’m not sure what the appeal of hiking is for people, ” she admitted, nose scrunching slightly. “ i mean, if people really want to exercise, they could just go to the gym, and not out into the wilderness. ” prue nodded in agreement, feeling the exact same way nesta did. “ yeah, i think most sensible people would. i’ll never understand the appeal of waking up early to do anything that requires as much energy as hiking does. ”

"very true.” nesta said with a light chuckle. she still found it odd to her to think that she could have that sort of technology at the tips of her fingers all the time. in velaris it seemed to work differently than even here. “me either, but you’re asking the wrong person. i had a whole training regiment to handle and hiking was part of it at a time, but it was still not my favorite part.” nesta sighed and shook her head. she didn’t want anything to do with that, but it had happened to be something that worked out well for her after all the things that she’d been through. “eventually i happened to like it, but at first it was too much way too early in the mornings.”

feyre nodded softly, a way to answer her sister’s question non-verbal as she focused on the paint on her fingers, “ the cauldron is a bitch, “ her words soft but as grey eyes looked up at nesta, they twinkled with slight amusement. first, she had been the one to be in the dark about the whole mate situation and now, rhys was the one in the dark. “ i’m sure the same way you would feel like it was you in my shoes and cassian in rhys’, “ it hadn’t escaped the high lady how the two acted around each other and she knew for a fact that cassian was into nesta. nesta’s feelings on the matter were a mystery to feyre. “ i love children so i enjoy it. it’s rewarding, “ and good practise for when she had children, “ that sounds nice. thank you, nesta, “

“you could say that a thousand times, and it would never not be true.” nesta said softly, her words hitting a bit harder than her sister’s own comment. likely from her own personal attachment, her own experiences. the cauldron had taken everything from her. everything that nesta had known to be true was ripped away from the cauldron, and she still fought back. she had no idea what was in store for her going forward. not in this....place. in this time. “well, at least rhysand is here. he is safe, even if he doesn’t remember. cassian isn’t here. i have no knowledge of where he is, or how he is.” nesta said, shrugging her shoulders. she didn’t know anything about it all, but she was sure that feyre now knew about her feelings toward cassian if she hadn’t known beforehand. “of course. is there anything you’re interested in? i could look around to see if we have something like it.”

she knew it was cutting it too close by accurately guessing everything about topanga; things she had learnt whilst growing up. “ what is that like ? “ curious to see how the older woman was finding it. “ i had a mother figure growing up with the same name. “

“it’s going well. it’s only been a short while, so i can’t really say much.” she shrugged her shoulders. she loved it though, it made her miss mr. feeny a bit more in this weird world too. “my husband’s teaching history at the high school level, so we’re both teaching now.” she said with a light shrug and chuckle, shaking her head. she didn’t think that if you’d asked thirteen year old them, either would have predicted this. nodding, she smiled softly. “that’s nice. were you two close?”

as far as cory was concerned, he had a life that some people should be envious of. after all, not many people could say they married their first love and were truly happy together, he felt lucky to have been part of that small percentile. cory was insistent on ensuring he constantly told topanga that she was special, he wanted to do nothing more than build up his wife and let her know that she was amazing. after all, she’d spent so many years doing that for him,  he wanted to do the same for her. “ i just can’t help it, i want you to know how amazing you are, topanga. you deserve to be reminded every day of it. ” he didn’t like to think about his bad times with topanga, they always wound up causing pain. of course, they overcame all of those difficult obstacles, which he always knew they would, but it didn’t make the memories any less painful. he smiled at her words, cory loved hearing her say that. “ and you’re the love of my life, too, ” he told her, though he doubted she needed to hear it, he was happy to say it. he wished they were there with them, too, it’d make him even happier than he already was. he nodded at topanga’s words, a small, sad smile appearing on his features. “ yeah, i hope you’re right about that. ”

topanga was never one to put her faith into things that may not work out. she didn’t know about relationships and absolutes--but cory had always known that everything was going to work out. the one person in her corner she could always count on to be there when she needed him. not her own family, but cory. the love of her life. the man by her side. her present, her future. her everything. “i’m glad you do. just know that i love you, and believe in you as much as you believe in me.” she said with a nod of her head, meaning it truthfully. she didn’t know where she would be without him. she grinned brightly at his words. she shrugged her shoulders and looked at him. “i’m sure that’s it. they’re totally fine, core.”

brooke nodded slightly at topanga’s words, she could understand what she meant, though, wondering about how a friend was doing, and hoping they were successful. she wondered the same thing about her friends, she wanted nothing but the best for them. “ yeah, i suppose you’re right about that, ” the blonde said. she was happy at the beauty salon, she was doing what she loved, and that mattered to brooke. sure, it wasn’t fancy or glamorous, but it was perfect for her. “ that’s really sweet, he sounds like a great guy. ” she knew a great guy once, unfortunately, they weren’t going to get their happy ending, but it was nice to hear that topanga had gotten hers.

topanga nodded her head, she smiled brightly. “he is. one of the best, actually. maybe even the best. though i’d have to probably know more people to say with certainty that he is the best. but he’s the best guy i know.” she rambled a little bit, but it was at least a rambling that made sense. she was glad that she’d seemed to be making a friend with a new person here in this place. glad that they got along a little bit. “though, i feel like i’ve talked a lot about myself. do you want to tell me more about yourself? your friends maybe?” topanga said with a shrug. she felt like she was dominating the conversation, and didn’t want to do that.
