Meet the 2016 New Student Orientation Coordinators!
Summer is here, which means Fordham New Student Orientation is right around the corner! The Orientation Coordinators have been working hard since January to welcome the class of 2020 to the Fordham family!
But what is an orientation coordinator?
The orientation coordinators are responsible for planning and implementing a super awesome and fun orientation program for incoming students!
Without further ado *drumroll* here are your 2016 New Student Orientation Coordinators!
Hometown: New Fairfield, CT
Major: Biological Sciences on the Pre-Health track; Minor: Sociology
Campus Involvement: Project Sunshine, Senior Week, Global Outreach, First Year Formation, Laennec Society
What series are you binge watching on Netflix: I’m a marathon runner in the sense that I can watch an entire season of Grey’s Anatomy in a day, so I just finished that and now I’m watching the new season of Orange is the New Black… #nodaysoff
Favorite thing to do in NYC: Eeeeeeeats.
Favorite Snapchat Filter: I particularly love the tomato one that when you open your mouth you threw up other tomatoes. It’s like cannibalism in a really cute and hysterical way.
Favorite thing about Fordham: I love how much everyone who has any sort of connection with Fordham loves it. The alumni network is so excited that we are undergrad students and just want to talk about your experiences, their experiences, and almost always offer to try to help you professionally. The support system that exists just because of the immense love for Fordham is definitely one of the best things about being here.
FUN FACT: My fun fact is always that my name is Erin Carter, but I’m not named after Aaron Carter. No one knows who he is anymore so that’s not even funny so I guess my new fun fact is that I’ve never been to Europe, but I’ve been to Asia twice.

Campus Involvement: Fordham Nightly News, Theatrical Outreach Program, Mimes and Mummers, Senior Week Volunteer, Jumpstart.
What series are you binge watching on netflix? OITNB, Friends & The Office.
Favorite thing to do in NYC: THE THEATRE. I love all things broadway. I’ve entered the Hamilton lottery everyday for months. I haven’t won yet. *sobs*
Favorite Snapchat Filter: Who doesn’t love a good face swap?
Favorite thing about Fordham: In addition to the overwhelming sense of community and positive energy, I love the ram van. Our intercampus transportation that brings you between rose hill and lincoln center. I love zoning out, listening to good music, and enjoying the beautiful NYC view especially at night.
FUN FACT: When I was working at the Fordham Call Center, I talked to Taylor Schiling’s (Orange is the New Black) Dad. They are both Fordham Alums!
Hometown: Ossining, NY LETS GO O’S
Major: Anthropology. Pondering potential minors.
Campus Involvement: Commuter Assistant, FUPAC & the outdoors club.
What series are you binge watching on Netflix: Parks and Rec (I’ve accepted my fate of being Leslie Knope and I’m okay with it)
Favorite thing to do in NYC: Get lost in hole-in-the-wall used bookstores, eat soup dumplings hopefully without burning my tongue, visit museums (#JustAnthroMajorThings), and people watch
Favorite Snapchat Filter: The cube face one, hands down.
Favorite thing about Fordham: The nooks and crannies, specifically the 6th floor stairwell windowsill in Dealy Hall. It’s a good place to sit in those awkward breaks between two Dealy classes. It has a breathtaking view of Eddies leading into Keating, and you can people watch.
FUN FACT: I cannot swim AT ALL. Treading water? Nope. Floating? You’d think, but no.

Campus Involvement: Gaelic Society, Business of Sports Society, Entrepreneurship Society, Fordham Jubilee, Employee in Academic Records.
What series are you binge watching on Netflix: Family Guy (I’m not a big Netflix person.)
Favorite thing to do in NYC: Going to Yankee games, walking around Times Square, and getting great food.
Favorite Snapchat Filter: I don’t really have one, I take pictures of my dog and send them that’s it.
Favorite thing about Fordham: I really like the connections Fordham has. The alumni seem so proud that they graduated from Fordham and always seem willing to make connections with current Fordham students.
FUN FACT: I am the sixth John Joseph McGrath in my family.
